1.6 - Jealous Encounters

Katherine had heard of the little date Lilac and Elena had and was furious. How could she be so blind to the fact that the person who loved her looked exactly like the girl she was falling for?

Lilac hadn't said a word to Katherine about the date, only came back and went straight to sleep without a word. But she decided to keep it that way, instead she would try to make Lilac question her feelings for Elena, to her.

It was the only way to get Lilac to see who really loved her, not some human that looked exactly like her. As Katherine bickered to herself and paced around the kitchen, Lilac was sitting in her room twisting the little black ring on her pinky finger.

The date had gone extremely well in her opinion and wanted to do that again, once she learned the proper ways of a date. She got up after she ran the while evening through her mind once more before changing and heading out to the living room.

"You awake." Katherine suddenly appeared with a blood bag in her hands. Lilac thankfully took it before drinking the whole thing in a few gulps.

"So I was hoping you were free today. I hated how last time went and I was wondering if you wanted you do something?" Lilac wiped her mouth before thinking of an answer.

"Sure, let's just not bring up my past. You've known me longer than anyone else, so you know what's right and wrong to say." Lilac had a point, but all she wanted to do was get to know her better.

"Exactly, I've known you longer." Katherine repeated quietly. Lilac caught it but chose to ignore it.

"So what are we doing today?" Katherine smirked.

"It's another surprise."

Another shot burnt down Lilac throat and cheers spread out the unfamiliar bar of people. Katherine had taken her to a bar just off of Mystic Falls and said it was for her to let loose.

Lilac felt she could control her humanity better so she trusted the idea. Plus she hadn't been drunk in years. Katherine handed her another shot and both vampires downed it.

Music and light were suddenly turned on and Lilac brought Katherine to the floor to dance. Swaying to the beat, Lilac kept her arms around Katherine to stable her from her drunken state.

Katherine smiled at the closeness between the two. Even if she was getting Lilac to spill her feelings by getting her drunk, Katherine did feel a little guilty.

But she sat Lilac down after a few songs to see if she'd get anything out of her.

"Hey Lilac?" Lilac turned her smiling head toward Katherine. Katherine suddenly went into a trance, Lilac's beauty took over Katherine's mind. She couldn't. But she must.

She shook her head roughly before looking at Lilac who giggled at Katherine's actions.

"Do you love me?" Lilac looked at Katherine and squinted her face, as if she was thinking until she broke into at bright smile.

"Of course I do! I mean who wouldn't?" Katherine was uplift by her words, but something crossed her mind.

"Who am I Lilac?"

"You're Elena silly." Lilac laughed.

Katherine sighed, but still came up with one last idea.

"Do you love Katherine?"

"Yes, I guess. Well she told me she loved me when I had no humanity. But now there's something different, I'm feeling strange around her. There's like a warm feeling in here." She rambled slurring and pointed to her stomach.

"What does that feeling make you feel like?" Katherine rushed excitedly.

"I don't know." Lilac pouted. "Maybe it's hate, maybe it's love. But I do love Katherine is that's what you're wondering."

Katherine almost jump put of her seat and screamed. She loved her back, I mean drunken words are sober thoughts.

"Can we go home? I'm tired." Katherine laughed happily and pick Lilac up.

"Of course." Katherine carried her put of the bar and to the car.

"Hey Katherine." Lilac whispered.

"What?"

Lilac pecked Katherine's lips before slowly falling asleep.

Katherine wanted to drop right there. She would hopefully remember all of that and she'd come running. She placed Lilac in the car and drove back to Mystic Falls.

"We're home!" Katherine shouted throughout the Salvatore house and three people came running just as she set Lilac on the couch.

"What happened?" Elena asked worried.

"She passed out." Katherine said simply.

"Did you get her drunk?" Katherine nodded. Elena press a cool cloth to Lilac's head to cool her down.

"Drunken words are sober thoughts, and I got me some answers."

"You got her drunk so she'd tell you the truth." Stefan said the obvious.

"Yes."

"Pathetic." Damon commented and Katherine brought him to the wall.

"No its not! Do you know how hard it is to get something out of that girl without her throwing me at something or crying?!" Katherine shouted just as Lilac awoke with a pounding headache.

"Hey." Elena said sweetly.

"Kat?" Lilac called after she gave Elena a smile.

Katherine turned her head towards Lilac with her fangs out. She retracted them and that veins dissappeared.

"Uh, hey Li." Lilac held her head painfully.

"Did I get hit with brick or something because holy shit my head hurts." Elena stopped her giggle and looked at Katherine.

"Katherine, wouldn't you like to tell her your brilliant plan?" Lilac looked at Katherine confused and waited for an answer.

For two second Katherine didn't speak, giving Damon the perfect opportunity.

"Basically Katherine got you drink so you wouldn't freak when she asked you the truth about something." Katherine ran a hand through her hair rather than snapping Damon's neck.

"The truth about what?" Katherine knew it was a bad idea to bring her here.

"About, if you...loved....me." Katherine took pauses with her words. Lilac's face fell.

"Getting me drunk to get me to tell you the truth about love huh?" Katherine nodded nervously.

"Why? Why are my feelings so important to you?" Lilac exclaimed standing up slowly.

"Because I love you! And your took blind to see it because of some human that looks exactly like me!" Katherine shouted, jealousy laced in each word.

"Well I'm sorry but it don't love you, like that anyways." Lilac admitted.

"But you told me-" Lilac inturrupted Katherine.

"Doesn't matter what I said while I was drunk! God Katherine I wasn't thinking right!" Lilac shouted. She was getting angry, but Katherine had to get it in her head.

"I do love you Katherine, but I'll never be with you, I only see you as a friend." Katherine whisked over to Elena where she held her in a choke hold, ready to snap her neck.

"Why kiss me both times you were drink huh? Explain that!" Elena whimpered lightly at the tighten on her throat and head.

"I probably mistakened you ask for Elena, because I surely wouldn't kiss you." Katherine's blood boiled and she threw Elena to the floor and went for Lilac. Lilac grabbed Katherine's head and twisted it, breaking it and she fell to the floor with a bang.

Lilac wen to care for Elena while the boys brought Katherine down to the dungeon.

"You survive way too much." Lilac chuckled at Elena.

"I'd be easier if I was a vampire." Elena said. Lilac turned her hear to look into Elena's eyes.

"If it comes to it, I'll be the one to turn you myself." Lilac promised before pressing her lips to Elena's forhead.
