0.4 - Confessions From The Heart

After maybe an hour, Lilac had given up on finding Katherine. She went back to Mystic Falls to visit Elena. Just to see who she really was, because information can always be twisted. Plus she had nothing else better to do.

As she made her way to the Gilbert house, she scowled at Katherine's stubbornness. She didn't need Katherine to be upset, she couldn't afford it.

She marched up to the side door, put on a fake smile and knocked on the door. The door opened and a boy about 15 appeared.

"Jeremy Gilbert. Hm, not as attractive as I thought." Jeremy raised an eyebrow at the beautiful stranger.

"May I come in? I'm a friend of Elena's?" Lilac smiled sweetly at the Gilbert boy.

"Sure, come in." He opened the door wider. She nodded a thanks and stepped in. Looking around she stopped at some photographs on the wall.

Looking at one in paticular, she placed her finger on the mother and father holding the little girl. She chuckled lightly, surprised she hadn't been told about them.

"Lilac?" Elena's voice rang. She turned to see the doppëlganger standing a few feet away from her.

"Beautiful family you've got. Sad that they died." Lilac said. Elena frowned.

"Did you come here to mock me about my parents death or are you here for a reason?" Elena asked as she pasted by to enter the kitchen.

Lilac smirked. "I want to get to know you. Information that was given to me seemed too obvious."

She leaned on the island while Elena stayed on the other side, not comfortable with being close to her.

"Oh please Elena, I promise I won't hurt you. Today. So tell me about yourself." Lilac sat down, ready to listen to whatever the doppëlganger had to say.

Elena looked at Lilac nervously, but began speaking about herself. Lilac only stared at her, some words passed through her like at ghost, but some stayed put.

Elena continued talking, worried that she was boring the vampire for dhe was only staring at her. Elena blushes, and cocked an eyebrow at herself. Lilac only smirked, she enjoyed this.

"Am I making you nervous Elena?" She asks while Elena is talking.

"W-What?" Lilac chuckled and stood up and sat on the other side, while Elena leaned against the counter.

"I said, am I making you nervous?" Lilac repeated. Elena shook her head.

"No, you've just been staring at me." She spoke thankfully without a stutter.

Lilac smirks. "Staring at someone does take them blush, unless they feeling something. Do you feel something for me?" She pressed, standing closer to Elena.

"No. I love Stefan." Lilac came closer, putting her lips close to Elena's warm

"Are you tell me, or trying to convice yourself?" Lilac backed away and placed a piece of paper in her hand.

She turned and sped out of the house, Elena let out a breath she'd been holding. She hated that. She looked at her hand, and saw the note.

She opened it and there was a few words written.

Ask Stefan about your parents. Maybe ask Jenna who Isobel is.

Confused, she accepted the suggestion and went to her room. She pulled out her diary, thinking of a title she thought of one.

After writing in her diary Elena set off to find Stefan. Even if Lilac knew something about her parents, it couldn't be that bad.

She found him once he opened the door to the Salvatore house. She confronted him and they scurried up to his room to talk.

"I've been told you know something about my parents. Mind telling me?" She's asks after a moment of silence.

Stefan didn't want to answer, knowing there would be some tears when he told her the truth. But he couldn't back out of something that was clearly important to her.

"When you were born, your mother was sixteen and when she got to the hospital, the only doctor there was your dad. After you were born your mother left and Grayson took you under their wing. You were adopted Elena." Elena bursts into tears and hugs Stefan tight, thinking that this was the worst possible thing that could happen.

After explaining everything that happened she decided to go home and confront Jenna about Isobel. Once she did, she had no idea who she was except for the fact that she was Elena's mother.

By the end of the day Elena sat on her bed, mind pondering with thoughts. For about an hour she stayed awake before going to bed, but what she didn't realize was that her diary wasn't in its original place, it was in the hands of Lilac at her house.

Of course she snooped, and read through ever heart felt emotion she'd written in the diary. It disgusted her. But the last entry made her laugh.

Confessions from the Heart

Today was probably the weirdest. At the start of the day, I knew who I was, loved who I was with, and now it's all uncertain. She made my feelings and emotions unclear. She's probably the worst person I've ever met in my life, yet she made me look at myself differently. There's something definitely wrong with me.

She knew how Elena felt of course, it was just hilarious. As Lilac finished reading the entry about her she heard the door slam closed and an angry, distressed Katherine came storming in.

"Glad to know your in one piece." Lilac said as she closed the book.

"Where were you anyways" Lilac asked. Katherine's angry expression changed to a nervous one.

"Out. I had to clear my head." Lilac rolled her eyed at the vampire before she threw her to a wall and held her just above the ground by her neck.

"I don't this stupid attitude. I go easy on you Kat but you need to get things straight. So stop caring about that Salvatore boy and swear your life will be better." After her rage she dropped Katherine and went to her room with the diary in her hand

She coughed and breathed in the well needed air as Lilac slammed the door. Katherine knew the only reason she was still with Lilac was because of her feelings for her. They grew and grew everyday for her, no matter how Lilac reacted because she'd always treated her better than others, and that's why she liked her.

She got up from the ground and went to her room. She picked up a picture of Stefan she had kept with her all these years, and she ripped it in half. Yes, her feelings for Stefan still remained but she'd try for Lilac, because in the end she planned to be the one that brought her humanity back.
