Betty bee's tea party.

(2d's pov)

Murdoc seemed like he was in a good mood today, I couldn't help but notice the way he hummed to himself as he made himself a margarita. I mean it's a bit early in the morning to stomach a margarita in my opinion, but he's murdoc he can do anything.

I turned my head to the clear slider as I took another sip of my peppermint tea. I was currently seated at the dinning room table surrounded by papers of scribbled notes and lyrics that I didn't feel quite right to me. Nothing felt quite right in my brain anymore. I haven't been able to write a song in weeks, I mean it's not something I need to be consurned about, the words will come eventually. Anyway the outside world was gloomy, like always. The metal table and chairs on the trashed patio were rusted, and the little red flowers that Russel helped noodle plant were growing soggy and sinking into the gravel which surrounded each stem.

If I looked closely I could see murdocs reflection from his place in the kitchen. He had that margarita in one hand and was leaning against the white marble counter. The air vent was blowing, and it seemed like the air was making his bangs swish ever so slightly, I made a small miserable moan inside my mouth as I stared at it. Usually murdocs hair was greasy and gross, but lately he has been taking a lot of baths... don't know why, maybe he read a magazine and decided to take a trip to bath and body works. But what ever the reason it makes me keep staring at him, he's been cleaning himself up more often, and I think it's kinda........ turning me on????? Cringing a bit at the thought I adverted my eyes from the reflections on the slider and looked down at my notes. All of it was as short as crap, frustrated I set down my mug and crumbled up the piece of paper and started fresh with a new one. I stared down at the piece of paper and growled at it, it was mocking me.

I looked away and glanced at the slider as I brought my mug of tea to my lips. I stopped short, the green mug resting on the tip of my bottom lip at the sight of that Bassists eyes staring at the back of my head, a small smirk growing on his lips. Nothing good can come from that green man when he's smirking, that usually means he's plotting something, I instantly whipped around, not wasting any time, making my tea swoosh out of my cup and splat on the floor. I ignored it and and stared at Murdoc, or gazes locked, and he didn't look away he just stared into my eyes without flinching or anything, like he expected me to turn around and stare back. But instead his smirk grew, as he slowly lifted his drink to his lips, taking a sip.

I wrinkled my nose and focused, my gaze down at my spilled tea.                                    I liked that tea.

"You should clean your room," Murdocs husky voice spoke, ringing through the silence.

I tried not to roll my eyes, "I'd like to see you clean yours," I growled at the ground.

"Don't give me lip Dent head," he growled back.

I clamped my mouth shut and glanced at Murdoc who seemed to be in much more of a sour mood. He had looked away from me and was rubbing the side of his head, he seemed a little hungover, he probably had a headache, but I couldn't stop focusing on his hair. . .

Murdoc looked my way and his nostrils inflamed, "What are you staring at you faggot!" He yelled, grabbing the plastic salt shaker off the counter and throwing it at me. it successfully bounced off my head.

I looked down, not willing to engage.

Russel had dragged Noodle to one of Betty Bees tea parties, so it's just me and Muds...

A cold silence filled the space between us, making the situation just a bit awkward. Murdoc continued to sip at his margarita while I stared at my tea which was on the floor.  The herbal liquid seemed to be seeping into the cracks in the floor maybe I wouldn't need to clean it up. Maybe the floor would drink it. The floor was Like .... Wait what's the word? Hmmmmm (aggressive humming) ..........    I can't remember that word. I continued like this humming to myself, as I stared at my splattered tea, while scrunching my face up trying to remember what it was called.

Oh right, absorbing.

(Noodles pov)

My life is over.

I'm in a yellow sun dress, with little daisy's on it, and I mean it is a cute dress, I could wear it with a helmet and my white combat boots. Too bad I have to burn it after this.

"Oh Little Noodle so splendid to have you join us!" Mrs Crawly said bending down to look me in the eyes.

I just nodded, trying to keep my smile, Mrs Crawly was an old woman, but she seemed to hide it well with all that plastic surgery.  She looked up to nod to Russel, telling him where the other parents were sitting, but all I could do was stare at her humorous pink southern bell hat, with the feathers and everything. It really clashed with her pink skirt that fell to her ankles, and her white high collar shirt. There was too much frill on the head.

Mrs Crawly also didn't seem to like Russel that much, I have gotten a hint that she doesn't believe it's appropriate for three guys that have no idea what they're doing, to raise me. It pisses me off.

"Hey noodle," Russel's tough voice whispered, I turned my head to look up at Russ, "Just try to have fun, maybe while you're at it you'll make a friend."

I nodded slightly looking forward again, Russel has always been the best at taking care of me, but sometimes I think he's trying to hard to give me a regular kids life. Like trying to get me to make friends. I didn't have many friends, and to be honest I don't want any friends, I'm perfectly fine on my own, and honestly I think this is the worst place for me to make a friend.

I looked around as Russel pushed me forward through the little white gate, that I could easily hop over. There seemed to be 13 to 17 girls here, most looked my age, but it was hard to tell through all there light pink lipgloss, and delicate sun dresses, all lighter shaded colors, not a single dark green or blue. They all had long hair too, mine was so short and messy compared to their perfectly combed locks. I definitely didn't belong here.

It seemed like every girl here had a tiny cross with little diamonds around their neck. Murdoc would have a fit if he saw this sh*t, I bet he'd run over and high tail me out of here if I screamed his name loud enough.

But I didn't feel like screaming... yet, I turned around, facing Russel, giving him a stern look, and said bluntly, "Russ I want to go home, all the pinkness everywhere if giving me a migraine."

Russel blinked but before he could speak Mrs Crawly cut him off, "Oh darling, I'd hope you'd stay, we'll play some bingo and have some tea."

I turned around slowly eyes narrowed and puckered my dry lips, like Russel would when murdoc lied to him, I then smacked my lips and said directly, "Do you have peppermint tea?"

Mrs Crawly's eyes widened as she thought, "I believe so dear..." she trailed off a little confused.

I nodded, I know that Toochi likes peppermint tea, I'll just get some and walk home, "okay then where's your tea table?"

Mrs Crawly nodded to the fold up table across the lawn, "it's over there dear." Her voice was strained, and a little bit bittersweet. It looked like I was making a sour impression on her, which was marvelous.

Nodding to Russ I skipped, or rather stomped over to the table, and started to raid the peppermint tea bags. The table had a blue plastic cloth over it, and on top of that was a whole bunch of little tea trays, mini cheese squares, and brown sugar. Heck I could raid this whole table if I wanted to. So on instinct I stole a handful of little cheese squares and shoved them in my pocket. You can never have too many little cute cheese squares.

I glanced to my side casually to see a girl my age, with blonde hair and a light blue dress on, staring at me like I was a platonic beast. I narrowed my eyes at her, then I took another handful of cheese squares and shoved them all inside me mouth, still staring at her, just to spit her.

She shook her head, disturbed, "Who on earth invited you?" She asked in her soft and airy voice. I mean seriously you'd think this gal was little miss Cinderella.

"Some gal named Betty bee," I said looking at her pink nails, then down at my dirty plain ones, "I mean who on earth names there kid Betty Bee, it sounds like they are from Munchkin-Land or something."

The short blondie gasped, "You never speak ill of the host! And I'll have you know that Betty Bee is a splinted name!"

I blinked, staring at her, "okay," I said dumbly, shoving the rest of the peppermint tea packets into my dress pockets, and turning around slowly to go find a table.

All of them were full with at least three prissy girls sitting at them, and you see four is a crowd, and I didn't feel like making conversation. So I turned and stomped over to the tulips on the other side of the yard tipping over a plastic chair on my way there, making everyone turn to look at me do to the noise. Awkwardly I bent down and picked it up, placing it where it was before, then continued to sit down in grass next to the finely pruned tulips, a good eight feet from any commotion. And I watched and listened as I popped cheese square after cheese square into my mouth.

This might be a long day, but it depends, if one two of these annoying girls get into a hair pulling fight I would be all ears. But... that didn't seem to be happening anytime soon, all they seem to do is talk about boys and how they are so good at math. Which was SOOO boring. (🥱)''🤜🥴

I don't think I was going to make it out alive.

(2d's POV)

I pulled out my phone, my hands shaking, as I pushed Russel's contact, to shoot him a text. The tapping of my thumps on the keys made me jump in fear several times, afraid that he could hear me.

Hey Russ,

I am hiding under the stairs.

And I can't find the pepper spray.

I need you to come over, I'm scared.

Duh duh DUHH.

Okay I know it's not much of a duh duh DUHH moment but it's kinda still a duh duh DUHH moment. Anyway sorry this was kinda a filler chapter, but in the next chapter things should get a little more exciting.

Sorry that this chapter was like weeks late. 😭 it's just with my brain in shambles and the new 2d X reader I started I have been devoted to starting it off. But this chapter is here now, and I'm so relieved now I can get on to the more exciting chapter ahead. Heheh

Anyway here's a meme because why not. And uh, bye! 👋
