I've always dreamed of riding a horse bareback one day, then I finally got to achieve that dream.

On March 30, 2023 I got to ride my neighbors horse bareback for the first time. Now I've ridden that horse over ten times, with and without a saddle and with only a halter. (So bitless)

It's so freeing, kind of scary obviously, but freedom. You can feel the power of the horse, how high up you are, literally just sitting on top of a horse with nothing between you. You can feel every movement the horses makes and It's tiring on your body. You have to work hard to keep your posture correct and stay on.

I love it. Its so different and unique. It makes you really feel connected to the horse and nature. ⛰️🌲

I have gotten closer to that horse and I trust him and myself to ride bareback. He's a very sensitive horse, so he only needs small signals with a halter on, he neck reins mostly. And he's on the small side, so It's not too high up.

He's also gaited, so I've gotten to try his gait. Even bareback I felt comfortable to go a little faster.

I'm so fortunate to have a great "neigh"bor. they have taught me so much and that means I don't have to go somewhere and pay for lessons. So thank you neighbor and universe for bringing us together 💛🌎🐴
