Curse Of The Banshee

In a desolate forest, Denki Kaminari hikes the forest trail. He had been doing this for years and nothing has happened. Kaminari found comfort in the quiet and solitary landscape of the forest. On one cool winter day, Kaminari walks the same forest trail taking in the serene view.

Kaminari: What a view! I could just watch this all day!

Kaminari continues walking the forest trail. As he does, he runs into an strange looking hermit living in a hut made of sticks and leaves.

Kaminari: Can I help you sir? You look a little.....

Hermit: Who are you boy?

Kaminari: Denki Kaminari. You?

Hermit: Aizawa. Shota Aizawa be my name. Though it holds no meaning here.

Kaminari: What do you mean? Is something wrong?

Aizawa: If you value your life and your soul, then you'd be wise to turn around and never set foot in this forest again.

Kaminari was confused. He had walked through the forest many times in his life. Nothing out of the ordinary had ever happened to him. His first thoughts were that the hermit was crazy.

Kaminari: You can't be serious right? I walk through this forest everyday!

Aizawa: These woods belong to the Banshee?

Kaminari: Oh give me a break!

Aizawa: The Banshee was once a beautiful woman named Kyoka Jiro who was raped and murdered by bandits who once roamed these woods. But as she died, her spirit remained. The cruel nature of this crime would forever deny her soul peace. Now she roams these woods in search of vengeance on any who step into her woods.

Upon hearing the story, Kaminari laughed it off. He had never believed in the supernatural. The story of the Banshee was no different.

Kaminari: That's crazy! It's just a story! I've walked all around this forest a hundred times! I've never seen anything that looked remotely like a Banshee!

Aizawa: Heed my warning boy! Turn back while you still can! When you hear her song, your death will be near. When you see her face and look into her eyes, death will claim your mortal soul.

Kaminari was not fazed by this. He reached into his wallet and grabbed a few dollars. He offers it to the old hermit.

Kaminari: Here. Take this. Get some food or some shelter.

Aizawa: I have no need of money boy. And if you maintain this path, neither will you.

Upon hearing the refusal, Kaminari put the money back into his pocket. Seeing there was nothing more to this conversation, Kaminari decided to simply go on his way. As Kaminari walks away from the hut, Aizawa looked at Kaminari with mournful eyes.

Aizawa: Foolish boy. May God have mercy on your soul. For the Banshee will have none for you.

As Kaminari put some distance between himself and Aizawa's hut, he can't help but laugh at the warnings from the old hermit.

Kaminari: What an old coot! Banshees, ha! That's just a legend!

Kaminari continues exploring the forest without a care in the world. As he does, he begins hearing crows cawing in the distance. It didn't seem to bother him at all. But as he looked at the sky, he saw a large group of crows flying around.

Kaminari: What the hell.....

As he looked upon the crows, Kaminari couldn't help but feel like he was being watched by the crows. Suddenly, he hears the sound of a woman singing.

Kaminari: Is that...singing?

Kaminari looks around and catches a glimpse of a beautiful purple haired woman wearing a white silk dress. He was smitten by her beauty.

Kaminari: (Holy shit! She's beautiful!) Hey miss!

As he runs towards her, the woman begins singing. When she starts singing, Kaminari stops dead in his tracks as he remembers Aizawa's warnings. But he soon quickly ignores it when the woman begins crying on her knees.

Kaminari: Hey miss! Are you okay?

The woman becomes deathly silent. Her silence is followed by the silence of the entire forest. The birds were no longer chirping and the wind was no longer blowing. When the woman reveals her face, her face is pale and decayed. Her eyes were black and pierced right into Kaminari.

Kaminari: What the fuck?!

Kaminari falls on his back as fear engulfs him. In that single moment of fear, Kaminari soon realized that the woman standing before him was the vengeful spirit of Kyoka Jiro. This was the Banshee.

Kaminari: I gotta get out of here!

Without hesitation, Kaminari got over his fear and began running for his life. As he ran from her, Jiro screamed an unearthly scream. Kaminari couldn't believe that any human could produce such a scream.

Kaminari: Fuck fuck fuck fuck!

Kaminari was running on adrenaline. He wanted to get as far away from Jiro as possible. He didn't want to see or experience what she was capable of. When he reached a large tree trunk, he hid behind it. He looked around and saw Jiro nowhere to be seen.

Kaminari: Looks like I lost her. I better get out of here before she....

When Kaminari turned around, Jiro was right in front of his. Kaminari was paralyzed with fear. Jiro grabbed his head and began screaming her scream. Kaminari saw his whole life flash before his eyes. Then it all turned black. In that moment, Aizawa's warnings came true and the Banshee Kyoka Jiro claimed Kaminari's life. No one has been able to find his body. Some say that he lost his way and starved to death. Others say that he was eaten by a bear. But the terrifying truth was that Kaminari was the victim of the Curse of the Banshee.
