Part 11

--Hey guys!! WOW. I haven't updated this in a while... A lot has been going on, family wise and school wise and now with the coronavirus.. so that's fun.. Here is a chapter full of acceptance and hope--

Andy P.O.V.

I wake up to a bright light shining on my face and a lot of warmth on my hand. My ears twitch as I try to move around but I can't; my body is too weak to move. I look at my hand and see another hand engulfing it. The hand belongs to an ash blonde. I smile weakly and use my free hand to rub the sleep from my eyes. It hurts to move my hand but I don't care. We all know I've been through worse. Bakugou stirs next to me and I close my eyes again; it's just so hard to keep them open. I feel Bakugou lift his head.

"Please wake up dumbass.... I need to apologize.." He mutters as he brushes some hair out of my face.

"What for?" My voice comes out as a hoarse whisper and I feel Bakugou flinch, so I open my eyes about half way.

"Hang on, let me get you some water," he gives my hand a small squeeze, then he disappears from my line of sight. Moments later, he returns with a small plastic cup in hand. He helps me sit up, gently placing pillows behind my back for support. Once he deems me comfortable enough he carefully hands me the cup. "Here ya go."

"Thank you..." I smile softly and take a sip of the water, feeling relief as the cool liquid slides down my throat.

"How are you feeling?" He asks, his voice quiet and a little shakey.

"I'm fine, just a little sore, what about you? Have you been taking care of yourself? How long have I been unconscious? God... I'm so weak.." I start to panic and it seems he notices.

"You are NOT weak. You just lack confidence... you need people to help you gain that confidence." He mutters and looks at the floor. "You've been out for three days. Recovery Girl says that you can't go back to class for a week so you can heal properly." I nod my head, choosing to stay silent. "...should never have treated you like that.."

"What?" I tilt my head to the side, causing him to jerk his head up at me.

"Shit. I said that out loud," he covers his mouth with his hand. "Whatever. I said, we should never have treated you like that. As aspiring heroes, we need to be able to understand people and not judge them for their past. What we did was wrong... I'm sorry for putting you through that. I'm such an asshole." He looks at the ground once more before jumping back up. "Don't go around telling people I apologized to you. And don't think your special cause I did."

"Okay.. I won't." I smile and giggle.

"Tch, whatever... dumbass..." he mumbles and makes direct eye contact with me, before his eyes take over my body, his eyes narrowing at my arms. "I'll go get the nurse. You stay put." He growls and leaves.

"Its not like I can go anywhere. It hurts just to blink." I chuckle to myself and take a minute to think. He's acting differently. I cant put my finger on it, but he seems different from the guy I met before. I wonder why.

"Glad to see you're awake, Andy." Recovery Girl walks in, interrupting my thoughts.

"Glad I am awake. Thank you ma'am." I smile and notice that Bakugou didn't come back in. He must've gone back to class.

"Well, if it weren't for your classmates and teachers, I think you would've received a lot more damage than you did. I healed you enough so you shouldn't have any new scars, however, those older scars will remain for quite sometime. Some of them may go away when you get older, but most of them will stay. Now, let's have a look at your vitals." Recovery Girl gives me a full on physical and asks me to use my quirk in different ways, to see if my nerves were too damaged for her to heal. "It seems like everything is okay. Here eat these, they will help boost your stamina." She smiles and gives a handful of gummies. I eat them as she explains what happened when I blacked out. Apparently, everyone managed to subdue my parents and now they're locked up, so they can't hurt anyone else.

So even though everyone knows that I'm a villains' child, they still protected me... even after they acted that way?... I guess they were just scared, after what had happened. The villain attack at the USJ, the Hosu incident. They were probably just tired and didn't want to go through that again, but I guess they did, with my parents.

"You can head back to class when the bell rings, your uniform is hanging up over there, so get changed. Your friends have been worried sick about you. I do believe they all have something they would like to say." She smiles at me without looking away from her computer. I nod and close the curtain around the bed to get changed.

"Thank you, Recovery Girl. Oh, my uniform top fits a lot better than before." I note as I button up the last few buttons.

"Ah yes, Momo made some adjustments while you were unconscious." She comments as I pull the curtain back, fixing my collar and tie. I smile sadly and the bell rings.

"Ah, I'm off then. Back to class I go." I step out of the room and sigh. You can do this Andy. I straighten my shoulders and walk down the hallway to hell- I mean class.

I stand in front of the large door and close my eyes. I pull open the door and the entire room goes dead silent.

"ANDY!!!!!!!!" There suddenly a chorus screaming out my name as I'm surrounded by my peers.

"I'm so sorry!"

"We never should have done that!"

"That was so mean."

"Can you forgive us?"

I'm bombarded by apologies and other comments all saying basically the same thing. "Yes, I forgive you. It was my fault in the first place. I never should've kept it a secret, but that's not something you can just bring up casually." I smile, patting Mina's head as she clung to me, begging me to forgive her and still be her friend.

"Thank you so much Andy!"

"We'll never do that again!"

"Let's become heroes together!"

"Alright. Everyone calm down and take your seats. I still have a class to teach." Mr. Aizawa breaks up the swarm of students and everyone makes a beeline for their desks.

Later that day, I sit down and explain to everyone what happened and what I went through as a child and why I want to be a hero. The whole thing took about an hour, but everyone seems to understand.

"So, you want to be a hero because you don't believe that what you grew up doing was the right thing?" Sero confirms and I nod. "Have you actually done anything illegal or....?"

"All against my will, but it technically was well within the law. It was just immoral." I left out all the gory details, just in case.

"Thank you for telling is this Andy. We really shouldn't have jumped to conclusions like that. You're our classmate and as such, you should be treated with the same amount of respect we treat each other with." Momo preaches as Iida nods along.

"Thank you all for listening. It feels good to get that off my chest. It feels like I just lost 20 pounds." I chuckle and everyone laughs with me.

The next 3 months went by quickly, without a hitch. Mitsuki and Masaru both listened to my story and they both understood. I understand that I overreacted and they just wanted to talk, they didn't mean to scare me. I made a whole bunch of friends and it feels like I have a real family now. So in a way, I guess I have my parents to thank. Without that while fiasco, I wouldn't be this close to my peers. I just hope summer training camp goes as smoothly as these last few months have.

-- Here we go!! I finally updated something!!!! I feel accomplished. I hope this is a little better, and I will be making Bakugou, more Bakugou in the chapters to come. I hope I'm doing well. Stay safe my lovelies!!--
