Unfair: Shinso x Reader Part 1
Today was the Annual UA Student Body Tournament. In this Tournament, the two main hero courses were required to partake in said Tournament. While whomever else within the Academy of UA who were willing to take part in a hand on hand fight with the higher classes were welcome. If a student from the lower classes make it to the final round or win the Tournament all together, they are guaranteed a place in the hero course! That is why the hero courses are required to take part, cause the lower classes are trying their hardest to boot the destined heroes from their thrown!
Now you'd think that this open invite was an easy way to get out of class right? Nope. If you signed up for the Academy Student Body Tournament, you were guaranteed to get beaten to hell and back. The only way the round would be decided is if the opponent is unable to fight anymore due to overbearing injuries or pass out. Yes, this Tournament is just like the Sports Festival, except, this Tournament is strictly fighting and just rendering your opponent motionless or knocking them out of bounds won't consider them at a loss. Brutal isn't it?
You've been wanting to go all out against your classmates for a while now, of course you were pumped for today! You even heard your classmates talking about specific people they'd love to brawl with. Which lead you to...
"I hope I don't fight Bakugou again," Uraraka was visually swimming in her own stress as sweat drenched the bangs that sat atop her forehead.
"Might I say the same," Midoriya laughed awkwardly as he finished putting on his leg and arm braces from his hero costume. Yeah, your actual hero costumes were prohibited but with the right paperwork you could bring along any gadgets to help you in combat. Midoriya's so happened to be his braces, don't want to see him breaking his limbs again.
You playfully punched the bushy haired boy on the shoulder. "Anybody in particular you want to fight Deku?"
"I want to fight everyone!" The boy exclaimed. "Actually, I want to fight new people. I'd rather skip out on those I've already fought," you hummed to Midoriya's claim which had you thinking deeply.
"So... You haven't fought many people right here in school," you finally pieced together. "You want to miss out on fighting Bakugou, Todoroki, and that creepy brainwashing dude from the Sport's Festival right?"
"Precisely," Midoriya awkwardly agreed.
"OUR OPPONENTS HAVE BEEN POSTED!!!" A random girl announced and like a crazy mob, one end of the room began flooding with students like a mosh pit in a concert. Almost immediately students began crying or mentally freaking out over who their opponents were. Iida suggested that we wait for the mob to clear out in order to safely get the names of your opponents.
The four of you were waiting around for a good twenty minutes before the mob had diminished to a long line of maybe at most thirty students. "I'm not waiting around any longer," you announced and ran right for the front of the line with a spring behind your step.
Iida shot up from his seat flailing his arms all about, "(Y/n) you need to wait your turn!!!"
"Shut up!" You came running back with your nose burried within your phone. "I got a picture of the board, that way we can all learn who we're up against," Uraraka and Midoriya's eyes flared with stars learning of your heroic problem solving. They ran up to you, squeezing you between like a sandwich before you threw them off. "Let me just tell you all! GEEZ, GIVE ME SPACE!!!" Another growl were leaked from your throat, your eyes lingered the picture just searching for one name of interest.
"Uraraka..." You hummed finally finding A name. "You're fighting Tsu."
"Oh... This should be interesting!!!" The girl clapped with glee.
"Iida's up against... Monoma," you blinked. "Who the hell is that?"
"An obnoxious guy from Vlad's class!" Kirishima announced, just to wave goodbye cause he was planned to go first in the Tournament. You didn't really pay attention to him though.
"Okay then," you shrugged. "Midoriya you're up against... Shoji. And I'm against, OH! Shinso!" Since the day you saw that purple haired boy in the Sports Festival you've been dying to actually give your own try at the guy. It were no secret anymore that your own Teacher, Mr. Aizawa, had been mentoring Shinso since the Festival as well. It wouldn't come as any surprise if Shinso does successfully win the Tournament and earn his place in the Hero Course!
"Oh crap..." Midoriya cursed. "Well I wish you luck," for some off reason, Midoriya were the most moved by the person you were paired to fight. The boy didn't even bat an eye to his own opponent yet he's worried about you in particular.
"What's wrong Midoriya?" You frowned.
"Just... Shinso has a brainwashing quirk. Don't talk to him and you'll be fine. Or else he could order you to stand in place and he'll beat you to a pulp..." You already knew about this quirk of his, but never did you anticipate that Shinso could practically order you to sit there while he beats you to death. Harsh...
"Thanks," you sighed, now trying to figure out every possibility that could partake in the fight.
"AAAAAAND IT'S OVEEEEER!!!" Present Mic's grand voice blared about the stadium without a microphone. Funny how you didn't doubt that he'd be the announcer this year. Your attention were drawn to the tv in the lobby. Kirishima were heaving, body battered, eye swollen shut, Present Mic held up the boy's fist in the air proudly. "OUR FIRST ROUND GOES TO EIJIRO KIRISHIMA AND HIS OPPONENT SHOTO TODOROKI BITES THE DUUUUUST!!!" Midoriya, Iida, Uraraka, and yourself all choked hearing that Kirishima successfully kept his end of a fight against Todoroki and came out victorious. The camera on the TV closed in on Todoroki before replaying the last moment of the fight. He had previously created a barrier of ice that, by the looks of it, Kirishima bashed his way through and landed a sneak attack on Icy-Hot. A punch to the head and Todoroki was out cold!
"Wow..." You sat down in shock. "I wish everyone luck!!!"
The fight between Uraraka and Tsu went on the longest time. It were interesting as hell though! Tsu's new Ultimate Move allowed her to turn invisible, Uraraka had intense intuition and could predict Tsu's movements. In the end, Tsu overworked herself and collapsed, giving Uraraka the win!
Iida's fight were short lived... Monoma attempted to get within a foot of Iida in order to copy his quirk just to get a kick to the side of the head and Monoma was down for the count.
Midoriya's fight had a clear winner. Shoji's strength gave him the upper hand. However, Midoriya kept landing attacks on the brute who used his bat like arms to deflect attacks. Even he could only handle so much before calling it quits.
Once the trio had treated their injuries, they made quick time meet up with you before your round should commence. You hovered at the stadium field entrance, heart moved to your throat. Everyone's fights were so intense!!! Your friends could visually see your anxiety taking over little by little. They won't be surprised if you so happen to pass out before the fight even begins.
"Just remember," Midoriya began. "Don't talk to Shinso."
"Most of all don't forget that we're here rooting you on with all we got!!!" You awed, hugging Iida. Midoriya and Uraraka joined in for one large group hug!
"OUR NEXT FIGHT... (F/N) (L/N) AND SHINSO HITOSHI!!!" The audience roared, that meant it were time to leave and face the enemy head on. Iida had to manually pull Midoriya and Uraraka from you, before they waved you off. You ran head first into the battlefield, the audience blustering with applause! On the opposite end, were the Purple Haired Rival.
Meeting up, face to face, Shinso had a steel gaze that could stare right through to your soul, either way, you still wore an enlightened smile, holding out your hand to him. "Nice to finally meet Shinso."
"Might I say the same... Lava Mistress," Shinso smirked, returning your gesture with a shake of his hand within yours. Once separated, you both turned your backs on each other to gain a healthy distance for the fight to behold.
"LET THE FIIIIGHT COMMENSE!!!" Present Mic announced the start to a fight to remember. Immediately, Shinso sprang from his spot, a deep breath in, you clenched your fists.
"Time to light this place up," you smirk. What was a plan to fill the arena with molten magma ended with a blood curdling scream to pierce your throat. Pain exploded up your forarms and legs, it all felt as if your flesh were being pulled from your bones, before your legs gave out and you fell backwards still screaming at the top of your lungs writhing in pain upon the dirt stadium ground.
Shinso growled, running up to where you lied screaming. He kicked you once with all the strength he carried. "C'mon don't play the injured card!" Pure cheating if you ask me...
"I'm not playing!!!" You cried which snapped something within the male. Shinso immediately knelt down, trying to assess the situation. But you were shaking and thrashing about in such a violent manner that such a task were impossible.
"(Y/n) look at me," Shinso asked. You glanced up, mind going blank at the request. You lied there, still shivering with this intense pain that outpowered his quirk yet your mind continued to linger. Shinso lied a hand upon your arms, only to retract, yours muscles were tense like stone, burning up like the surface of the sun.
Shinso heavily hesitated, should he take his quirk off you? Would putting you through that pain again help anyone? Shinso rose his hand, "MEDIC!"
