Izuku Midoriya, he’s a boy of raw determination. Just days ago, the hero in training had gotten himself beaten to a pulp without the foe to lay a finger upon his nimble body. How does one beat himself up you might ask? Talent that’s for sure! The truth? Izuku took inspiration to imitate the attack style of his former mentor, Gran Torino. Bounce and zoom around the office like the rabbit he is! All this effort, yet nothing came out as expected. His head clashed with walls, a face flattened against furniture and an exhausted body to top it off. Not one finger could graze Sir Nighteye and his future sight quirk. Luckily, the batter was well rewarded as the youthful hero in the making landed himself a place at one of the most prestigious hero agencies in all of Japan: the Nighteye Agency.

A great achievement to be working under a former sidekick to the Number One Hero. Izuku felt as if nothing could stop him now! And so, today marks the first day Izuku is said to start his new Hero Studies alongside Sir Nighteye and an upperclassman he’s came to respect in so little time. Dressed in hero uniform, the bouncy rabbit boy with emerald green hair met with Mirio Togata for his first day on the job.

Mirio Togata, he’s that upperclassman that Midoriya respects almost as much as All Might. A bright and prideful blonde who wants to save a million people! Also in uniform, Mirio held up a gloved hand to greet Midoriya. “Hey Hey! First day working with Sir, I knew you could do it!!!” Mirio Togata praised his new heroic partner with a pat on the back.

Midoriya mimicked Mirio’s smile as much as he could without putting on his almost flawless interpretation of All Might’s face in the process. “I’m looking forward to working with you and everyone else at the agency!”

“You’ll love everyone there I can assure you that!” Mirio began the journey over to the agency. He spoke of the many faces he works with on a day to day basis starting with the quirkiest of them all: Bubble Girl, Nighteye’s partner. She’s a handful that’s for sure as she’s normally on the shorter end of the stick when it came to scoldings and punishments. Then he mentioned that of the squeaky voiced Centipeder: the man with a Centipede head who also works closely to Nighteye. A few other familiar faces were mentioned, until he spoke of a woman Midoriya never even heard about until now.

“(Y/n) Sasaki is Sir’s wife and we all love her,” Mirio, although he’s always seen with a smile, wore his smile even larger than before just speaking of this wonderful woman he respects more than most.

“Nighteye’s married?” Midoriya questioned in utmost disbelief. Sir has such a firm exterior like those guards with the fuzzy hats in England. It’s especially hard to imagine Sir Nighteye married. I was beginning to think that he was married to his job, Midoriya laughed openly at his own thoughts taking into account the many stories All Might shared with him about the many times he’s shared with Nighteye in his younger days.

Mirio was glad to explain who you were, why wouldn’t he be? “Sir has been married for quite some time,” he began with a rather large statement up front. “They’re highschool sweethearts and got married the second they graduated! It’s their twentieth anniversary any day now. Could be today but, HA! I can never remember stuff like that very well. She’s been talking about it for a while now that’s all I know. I really do wonder what they have planned. Bet it’s romantic,” only fate will tell as far as the boys know.

“That long!?” Midoriya choked. The shock was expected since even his own parents haven’t been together for that long. Now that he ponders the subject of marriage, Midoriya wonders how his own father is doing. Wait, does Nighteye have children!? These are the real questions.

“I said that they’ve known each other since highschool,” Mirio reminded his friend.

“Yeah sorry…” A bead of sweat formed atop Midoriya’s forehead. “Is she anything like Nighteye or like… Yeah what’s up with them?” Nighteye and his wife could be polar opposites because much like the old saying goes, Opposites attract! Or, they could be the exact same because another old saying is searching for love is like searching for yourself. When you find yourself you find love because they’re the same. Right now, all that Midoriya can imagine of Nighteye’s wife is that she’ll either be a cold intimidating woman or a truly happy and lovable one like his own mother.

Based on how much Mirio has come to like you as a person, Midoriya is starting to think you must be a wonderful person to have as a wife. “Mrs. Sasaki treats everyone as if they’re her own no matter their age because she’s just like that. I view her as the mother I never had y’know?” Mirio remembers all the sweet times the two of you have shared. Like those times you drop in on training sessions with treats or just quite simply having heart to heart conversations. “But to answer your question, you can tell Sir loves Mrs. Sasaki. Whenever she’s around he can’t keep up with his cold exterior to the point where it’s practically a piece of cake to get him to laugh. He smiles all the time around her. Oh and! Just between you and me,” Mirio leaned down slightly with a hand pressed to the side of his mouth. “She picks out the tie he wears every morning before work,” the blonde whispered.

“She sounds sweet,” Midoriya agreed. A wife as sweet as you is bound to melt the heart of any male she comes across.

“She sure is,” Mirio spoke and continued the walk on over to Nighteye’s agency. Midoriya now was eager to meet Sir’s wife. However, he shouldn’t even get his hopes up just yet. He might not even get the chance to meet you today. What is he even thinking? This is Hero Studies! He shouldn’t allow something so little to ruin his train of thought.

The boys made it to the door of Nighteye’s office, from within, you could hear tortured laughing. It was like a girl was laughing so hard she was about to spill her guts out. However, why does her laughing sound so familiar? “Bubble Girl must’ve failed to make Sir laugh again…” Mirio frowned. The statement refreshed everything for Midoriya. Whenever Bubble Girl fails to make Sir laugh, he hooks her up to torture machines that tickle her to the point she’s a laughing mess. The boy deeply wishes that’ll never happen to him and if it does then he might just die of embarrassment.

A deep breath in, Midoriya invited himself within the room and, just as Mirio spoke, Bubble Girl was being tortured before their eyes while Nighteye stood before her with a hateful scowl. The scowl was shifted from the girl of blue skin to the two boys. “I didn’t hear you knock…” The man spoke with his voice dark.

“Nevermind he’s just in a bad mood,” Mirio sighed. This made nothing better.

“I’m sorry Nighteye Sir!!!” Midoriya scrambled to his knees begging to be forgiven.

“Nighteye…” The gentle voice of a woman called out to the grumpy man. Everyone shifted their focus from Nighteye and Bubble Girl’s boisterous laughter to a woman dressed in a grey pantsuit within the doorway of the room. The suit practically matched that of Nighteye except it was, y’know, on a woman instead of a man. She wore an apologetic smile and ruffled Midoriya’s bushy head of hair. Midoriya found the action comforting as All Might and his own mother does the same to himself. “Nighteye, would it kill you to be nice to your little apprentices for a change?” That’s Sir’s Wife, it must be! Midoriya concluded. “I know authority can shape a man for the better but you’ve already made a lasting first impression on Deku here when you two fought the other day. He’s working for you now, quit being a grumpy grump,” the women helped Midoriya to his feet as the room remained silent.

Nighteye’s golden eyes were half lidded as he glared at you only to sigh in defeat the coming moment afterwards. “I suppose you’re right (Y/n),” The man adjusted his glasses accordingly by pushing up on the sides of them with his thumb and middle finger.

“Now give Bubble Girl a break,” you suggested. Nighteye nodded justly. All he did was press a button and the feather dusters tickling the blue girl’s sides came to a halt. Bubble Girl was crying in relief as both Nighteye and Yourself worked together to untie her from the restraints of the torture device. Once released, Bubble Girl collapsed upon the ground without any intention of getting up any time soon and nobody was gonna keep her from doing so.

You turned to your grump of a husband and rested a hand upon his cheek. Your thumb caressed it and everyone within the room found Nighteye to be staring in the complete opposite direction of yourself with cheeks that began to show a hint of color. “It’s our twenty year anniversary Mirai… I want to see you happy today. Smile! Smile like you always do.”

Although annoyed, Nighteye refused to raise his voice. “I must keep an image when I’m at work (Y/n). I’ve told you this on multiple occasions…”

“Doesn’t mean you need to be a sour puss all day long,” you sang.

“I suppose I’ll listen to you this one time,” Nighteye caved in without an argument.

You approved of his change of heart. “Treat the boys nicely,” You began to adjust his tie to better hug his neck. Midoriya remembered what Mirio said about Nighteye and his ties. The last time the boy saw Nighteye, he wore a red and white polka dot tie, today was a pink tie with white stars all over it. A man wearing pink? While pink isn’t technically a masculine or feminine color, something told Midoriya this man would never willingly buy a pink tie. The tie fact was indeed correct.

“He calmed down quick…” Midoriya stood there astonished. What happened to the intimidating man who hates his guts!?

“Told ya,” Mirio’s smile stretched from ear to ear.

You stole a quick kiss from your beloved husband before parting ways. Nighteye rubbed his lips lightly as to better remember your affectionate action longer. “Good day boys!” You waved at Mirio and Midoriya before lowering yourself to gently rub the blue girl’s back as she lay face down upon the pristine clean floor that she called a sanctuary. “And good day to you too Bubble Girl.”

“Goodbye Mrs. Sasaki!” Mirio, Midoriya and Bubble Girl all spoke in unison as you left for the day. Mirio, as helpful as always, helped Bubble Girl to her feet almost immediately while Midoriya had time to think momentary subjects over. The hero studies, you, the anniversary. “Nighteye… Sir…” His voice cracked involuntarily. Midoriya had captured Sir’s attention never-the-less. “I know stuff has to get done but I’d hate to get between you and your wife’s special anniversary. Twenty years is a long time and you two should spend today together. Can we pick this up tomorrow or maybe even help you to have a better day?” Midoriya knows nothing when it comes to romance but he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make today a better day for the two of you.

Nighteye was relieved that Midoriya had such a request. “Why thank you for the offer young man. Please, go about your day as you usually would and I shall go about mine,” Nighteye paused and gave his attention to his other apprentices. “The same goes to you both. I suppose I was wrong to prioritize training the lot of you over a special day that only happens once.”

“Happy Anniversary Sir!” The three apprentices congratulated their superior once again. Little did they know, Nighteye was going to tell you that he’ll finally agree to starting a family. He’s been thinking about it for the last twenty years since that day he spoke his vows. Nighteye has been waiting and waiting for the right moment and with these three wonderful apprentices of his in his life, they really opened his eyes to realize that children aren’t such a bad idea after all. He gets the pleasure of building a family with the woman that means the entire universe to him.
