That first date… It didn't go all so well. Midoriya was going backwards with each step forwards. Right when he managed to scare a date with the girl of his dreams, her overprotective father, his teacher, crashed the date with his not so discreet spying methods of peering around corners and hanging upside down from street lamps. (Y/n) wanted the date as much if not more than Midoriya ever did. Too bad Shota was too protective for his own good. She told Midoriya to ignore her father, but with the boy so susceptible to anxiety he couldn't. Much to Shota's delight, his daughter called the date off and the couple went back to their dorms at UA. With each day that came and went, Shota's never been more pleased in all his life. His daughter is single and sitting within the palm of his hand.
While (Y/n) and Midoriya did keep in touch, they did share the same classroom afteral, they knew that their relationship wasn't meant to be and abandoned all hope in pushing forward. Deep down (Y/n) wanted to give Midoriya a second chance. She held hope that come the future her father would lessen his restrictions and maybe then could Midoriya get his proper first date. Midoriya though, he wasn't going to let the future decide anything. Although he's claimed to give up on highschool love, that is far from the true reality taking form before his eyes!
Izuku has been patient throughout the day. Even now, after ten minutes past class dismissal, Midoriya would continue to wait until all of his peers excused themselves from the classroom for the day just so that he could scope out the chance to earn a talk with his teacher one on one. Once the final student was collected and excused, Midoriya got up from his seat and approached Mr. Aizawa's desk with beads of sweat to occupy his forehead. All those times Midoriya stood up to Bakugou and villains alike, standing up to his crush's father was the most nerve racking thing he's ever dared to do.
Midoriya fumbled around with his sweaty palms, his mouth all scrunched up and his emerald hair clouding his eyes. "Mr. Aiz-Aizawa sir," the boy spoke up, earning his superior's attention. The man sitting before him glanced up from his phone before setting it down and knitting his fingers together to show Midoriya that his attention was captured. "M-may we speak about your daughter?"
The man groaned. "How many times do I need to say it? I don't want (Y/n) to date anyone until after highschool. You’re a good kid Midoriya, but her grades and success comes first."
"I-I understand," Midoriya truly understood as some schools forbid after school jobs and relationships in general as they're distracting from academic success. Mr. Aizawa’s beliefs in everything were perfectly logical. "Excuse my outburst, but I just… I really like your daughter and she's the smartest girl I know!” All of this wasn’t exactly news to Mr. Aizawa’s ears. “I've heard from her that you don't really congratulate her for her hard work and so… Would one date, a real date, really hurt her? She never asks much from you and the one time she does you grant her wish then turn around and break the promise? I understand that you're protective and all but you're being plain disrespectful!" Midoriya couldn't believe he just stood up against his own teacher. He’s never back talked to anyone before yet here he was making a lasting impression on his crush’s father. This probably isn’t going to end well...
“Alright,” The teacher stood up from his desk with a slight roll of his eyes. “Midoriya… Rules are rules. Feel free to be (Y/n)’s friend, but dating isn’t allowed. I have spoken,” Mr. Aizawa snatched a small sheet of paper from the small pull out tray of his desk before slamming it shut once more. He began to write down, or rather ‘scribble’ something down on the watermelon pink slip only to force the paper into Midoriya’s hands.
Midoriya skimmed the paper, “d-detention!?” He gasped.
“For talking back,” Aizawa glared at his student. “Be lucky you’re a promising hero or else I would’ve expelled you. I have spoken.” And for that, Aizawa was done with the conversation.
“But…” Midoriya found it useless to argue any further. Mr. Aizawa has a track record for expelling the most students out of any teacher in the history of UA. There’s no sense in pushing his luck any further. “Okay… Lunch detention it is…” Midoriya sighed before sulking out of the classroom. Was it wrong to say that Midoriya honestly didn’t care about the detention? If anything, he’s hatching up a plan to earn Aizawa’s permission to date his daughter.
Then it hit him! A plan. A fool proof plan!
Midoriya had no time to lose! This plan of his must be enacted now as there’s no moment more perfect. His red shoes floored his body as it flew at lightning speed right towards the General Studies Department, picked up a certain something, then bolted for his class dormitory. His alert eyes bounced and darted around the lounge! Once his emerald orbs locked on the first female they traced as he approached the pink being with a heavy breath. “Oh hey Midoriya!” Ashido giggled. “Got some big news? I haven’t seen you this excited in a while!”
“Y-Yeah Yeah!!! I’m pretty excited!” Midoriya was vibrating in anticipation for what’s to come. He stood around and bounced small talk just long enough for Mr. Aizawa to enter the doors of the dormitory. That’s when Midoriya’s hands shot out and gripped Ashido by her wrists. “Will you go on a date with me!?” He practically shouted with a pop of a question. Out of the corner of his eye, he definitely earned Mr. Aizawa’s attention but the adult brushed it off almost instantly. If anything, his peers were rightfully more astonished.
“I-I thought you had a thing for (Y/n)!” Ashido belted out. Well apparently his crush on the teacher’s daughter wasn’t all that low key wasn’t it?
“Will you date me or not!?” Midoriya swallowed the lump in his throat. “I’ll explain later…” He whispered.
“Sure!” Ashido squealed. Date or not, she’s still interested in what’s to come. She hopes its a prank! Pranks are always perfect!
“Let’s go make plans!” Midoriya swept the girl off her feet as he carried her all the way in a blinding sprint all the way to (Y/n)’s room. Midoriya knocked rapidly until the girl within opened the door and he invited himself in.
“What’s going on here!?” (Y/n) closed the door with a slam. She’s never seen Midoriya as jittery as this.
Midoriya dropped Ashido on the bed without care. She nearly bounced off and onto the floor. “Let’s go on a date (Y/n)!”
“Wh-what!? No! You know my dad won’t allow it,” she retaliates.
“I have a plan!” Midoriya whipped out a black mouth guard that was dangling from around his neck. It was much like the one Midoriya had for his personal hero suit except it was black and mechanical. (Y/n) could tell it was mechanical as it had four little speakers on the front near the mouth.
“And?” (Y/n) sighed. What purpose does this little device hold?
“This can disguise your voice to mimic anyone’s! I borrowed it off a friend,” Midoriya handed the device over to Ashido. “Mr. Aizawa knows that I’m taking Ashido on a date when really I’ll be taking you out on a date! Since you can shape shift, you can turn into Ashido and then we can sneak out of the dorms without any problems!” And yet somehow Midoriya hatched up that plan in less than a minute. Persuading Shinsou to hand over his support gear was the most difficult part of the day so far.
“And where do I come in?” Ashido put on the mouth guard without any questions as to why it came into her possession in the first place. She must admit though, this thing was cool! As if you reached into a superhero movie and stole the villain’s mask.
“While we’re gone, you’ll stay here and pose as (Y/n) in case Mr. Aizawa comes by.”
“And then I’ll use this to sound like (Y/n)!” Ashido’s voice was modified to sound like a deep manly wrestler’s. The device was miraculous and it had (Y/n)’s jaw lying agape.
“Well?” Midoriya held (Y/n)’s hands awaiting her reply.
“Let’s… Do it,” (Y/n) couldn’t believe that she was actually about to sneak out! Shota is almost always a thorn in her side given how uncomfortably clingy he can be. This plan is almost foolproof! Midoriya couldn’t wait to get on with the date as he led his girl towards the door. She stopped his ministrations just as he gripped the bronze knob. “Are you okay doing this for me Mina?” (Y/n) asked for reassurance before Midoriya could lead her out. It’d be wrong to just dump everything on her without a say.
“Go have fun!” Ashido plopped down on a bean bag chair. A few white beads popped out from the seams. Her voice was now matched to perfectly copy (Y/n)’s voice. It was bone chilling hearing her own voice but it wasn’t coming from her mouth. “Do you have any snacks in here?” Ashido leaned forward and ransacked one of (Y/n)’s plastic storage bins. Instead, all she found was makeup and a handheld mirror.
(Y/n) snickered, “check my closet.” Her dad isn’t only a stickler when it came to her friends and academics. (Y/n) regularly sneaks food into her room and stashes it in the pockets of her coats. For how badly Shota eats and how he can easily drink a gallon of coffee in one day, he’s not gonna allow his daughter to follow in his mistakes.
Ashido shot up from the floor and dove into the closet. Some rummaging later, the girl squealed! “Oh my gosh gummi bears!!!”
“Okay… That was way too quick,” the girl thought. (Y/n) could’ve sworn stuffing her coat pockets instead of a bag or box was a smart hiding place. Apparently not if Ashido found them in less than a minute. Normally when cops search a home, they don’t bother to check the clothes unless they’re in a dresser. “Anyways… Let’s go,” (Y/n) allowed her body to take the shape of her pink skinned bestie. (Y/n) has taken the shape of almost her entire class, even Mineta, and yet not once did she bother to transform into Mina. Like most people would, (Y/n) just had to feel up the horns atop her head. Now she knows the horns aren’t just hair decorations, they’re real.
Midoriya wanted to retry his attempt at the first date as It would’ve gone smoothly if only Shota didn’t intervene. Now with Shota completely oblivious to his daughter’s act of defiance, now they can do whatever without fear! Upon leaving UA campus, (Y/n) reverted her body back into its original form. They went to a nearby cafe. They mainly spoke about all the crazy stories of their childhood and their parents too while sipping on caffeinated drinks. Apparently when Izuku was younger, he went through a phase where he ONLY wore All Might onesies and or merchandise. It was either be naked or wear onesies. That fact sadly became true when Midoriya went to preschool, in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, where ten minutes into class he proceeded to strip himself down until he was left in only his All Might undies. That was (Y/n)’s favorite story of his anyways. Midoriya’s favorite of hers had to be when (Y/n) entered Shota’s life. Apparently, when her mom texted Shota that she was handing (Y/n) over to him, he thought she meant that he was getting custody over her pet cat. Shota went out and bought a cat bed and toys only to realize he had a daughter and realized how badly he messed up. Shota felt so horrible that he wanted to get (Y/n) a proper bed and clothes but no, she wanted him to get an actual pet cat. He immediately took her to the nearby kennel and let her pick out a cat. Later that night, (Y/n) gladly slept in the cat bed. Shota legitimately thought he was getting a pet cat, not a daughter. But all's well that ends well.
The young couple decided they’ve left Mina alone long enough as they then headed back to UA. This was what (Y/n) planned on the first date, to grab a bite to eat and come back home. Although it was such a simple date, they both enjoyed it and felt closer than ever before. (Y/n) loved how good it felt not being on her father’s leash for a change.
