Rain: Toga x Fem Reader
Requested by Evvielovesaphmau Who found the Saiki K. Reference in New Year Break: Tokoyami x Male Reader
I have no idea if Toga's past was revealed in the manga and although I do read the manga I am not intentionally spoiling myself because I already made that mistake with Shigaraki when scrolling through Pinterest. (Boy… I feel so sorry for him) Therefore, I decided to write my own version of her past in x Reader format which sort of goes along with a joke between me and my best ‘girl’ friends.
Somehow, you could always tell when something bad happens. The world seems to know too. Notice how whenever it rains nobody connects that condition to good emotions? Whenever something terrible or heartbreaking happens, the gods from above would shed tears in the form of rain upon those beneath them. Today the rain came down heavily with each drop feeling like a frigid drop from your faucet. Oh how it poured without any signs of letting up. Whatever happened, you knew someone somewhere was hurting when they shouldn’t be. Maybe… Maybe they aren’t even aware of it yet.
You’ll admit, you’re upset at this very moment. Somehow, you forgot to retrieve your laundry from outside and therefore were now soaked and will likely mold by morning. Why would the world acknowledge such a simple misfortune? A slip of the mind. It happens to lots of people, a lot more people than you think. Even then, you knew the world was crying about something and for some odd reason you felt that the rains were connected to you somehow. It was just a gut feeling, maybe even paranoia but still... Was something bad about to happen?
Knock Knock Knock!
“What a damn coincidence…” Something bad was bound to happen and yet someone was at your door. You never get visitors. Never. Not unless it was the pizza delivery guy. Which you haven’t ordered pizza in weeks after the last delivery boy was a total creep. Admittedly, you were terrified to even answer the door. Barricade the door and act like you’re not home? No… Too much noise. No harm in checking the peep hole right? Whoever built this apartment complex wasn’t very bright as you had to pull out a small wooden step stool and peer in through the tiny glass hole in the door. You were scared out of your wits! Two hungry golden eyes were peeking in through the door’s hole doing you in for a double invasion of privacy.
“Hey girlfriend!” The girl sang as loud as day. “Can I come in? I have a favor to ask,” in which the girl backed up from the door just enough to recognize her for who she was. Your crazy underclassman of a friend named Toga. You’re both close, close enough to have told her your address in the past. The girl was soaked from head to toe in rain, her hair was down and the white undershirt of brown uniform was stained in red.
Red… So that’s why the world is crying.
You sighed and opened the door anyways. Girls must look after one another. Toga stepped in without a sound made before holding a knife inches from your face. “I finally did it,” the girl wore a smile of utter joy as blood still remained on the silver blade. Her joy was soon replaced with disappointment as your features hadn’t altered.
“You finally did it…” You knew it was gonna happen hence why you weren’t surprised. Toga has been reminiscing about spilling the blood of an innocent for as long as you’ve known her.
“How come you’re so calm?” Toga hummed. “Aren’t ya gonna ask who I killed?”
“Probably some nobody,” you shrugged. Really, how else could you react? As long as it wasn’t anybody you cared about then why care about this at all?
Toga was smiling devilishly to your response, “I killed your boyfriend.”
Did she really just say that? “Toga!” You shoved the girl.
“He was a two timing scumbag,” she hummed with a rock on her feet. “I caught him in the act! Making out with a whore in an alley,” despite everything she’s saying, you couldn’t bring yourself to believe her. Your boyfriend of almost two years was as sweet as honey, loyal like a dog, he’d never cheat. What made matters worse was that you were more than aware that Toga has never liked him either. Toga knew you were doubting her, “do you want proof?” She tuts.
“You have proof?” Unless you see it with your own eyes then no. You might as well kill Toga yourself. Hmmm… That cleaver in the knife block sounds nice.
“Watch this!” Toga’s body began to melt on the spot into a grey sludge that reformed into the body of a males. Only the hands, feet and head took the form of your boyfriend while the rest remained gooey and grey. Since when could Toga do this? She’s quirkless? How is she doing this!? “I see you’re blown away!” Your boyfriend cackled and backed you up into a wall. You wretched and wanted to run away! The male flashed his phone, or rather it was Toga’s phone, before your face. The screen had the photo of none other than your boyfriend and some skimpy redhead making out. His hands were traveling up into the girl’s shirt while her hands were buried within the front of his pants. “See girlfriend, I told ya he was a two timing dickbag,” your ‘boyfriend’ had rightfully proven his own claims.
“Just…” You sighed. “Toga quit playing with me and turn back. I believe you,” this sight was just disturbing to say the least.
“Buzzkill,” the male pouts as he slowly transformed back into your best friend clothes and all.
“How can you transform like that?” You breathed.
“Apparently I can transform into whoever as long as I drink their blood,” in which Toga just had to sickeningly drag her tongue across the blade of her trusty knife. Why did she have to do that? You definitely won’t dare to ask.
“Revolting…” You averted your gaze.
Toga heard your comment but ignored it anyways. Other things were on the mind. “Are you okay? You were together with him for over a year…” Thanks Toga. Now, you could only shake your head as your emotions had truly caught up with you and tears welled up in your eyes. Toga sighed as she pulled you in for a deep comforting hug. She hopes you don't mind getting blood on your clothes. Not like it matters, your clothes are dark, therefore this hug should be fine. That’s when you know Toga cares about you, she tries to keep your hands blood free.
"I knew how much you were behaving…" You sniffled into her shoulder. Seriously, you had to beg her to not go off and murder the teachers at school on a daily basis. "You really didn't need to kill him though..." There’s better ways the situation could’ve been handled.
"He hurt my girlfriend. I can't replace you! I'd do anything for you. He deserved what he got!" If anything Toga was glad that her first kill went to a complete scumbag who deserved death instead of a complete nobody.
"Again. Killing him was going a bit far but still… I never knew you'd kill for me."
"It's not everyday you find someone who's fine with having a future serial killer best friend!" In the back of your mind you’re hoping she takes this unhealthy obsession with homicide and turn it into a profession like bounty hunting, hitman, maybe even an executioner? Either way, you always turned her dark interests into something good.
"You know what they say," you snickered.
"A best friend helps you hide the body!"
"Yes," you agree. "But I say we just leave the body this time around. It's raining… I highly doubt the police can trace it back to you." If Toga only stabbed him and didn’t touch him physically, that means she left absolutely no evidence to be traced.
"That's right!" The blonde exclaimed. "I forgot you took a class on how to murder someone!"
"It's called forensics…" you corrected the girl.
"A class that teaches you what and what not to do when it comes to murder," well… She isn't wrong there.
"Go hop into the shower," you suggested as you stepped away from Toga to collect a few things from the fridge. The girl was still covered in blood. "Leave your clothes outside the shower, I’ll step in and wash them. Afterwards, we can do something to celebrate your first murder because we ALL know my ex won’t be your last."
“I say we trash your room and burn all of his belongings!” Toga began to perform crazy tricks with her knife. “Or I can cut them all up? Whichever leads to more destruction!”
“I’ll start putting everything in a box then.”
“Alright!” Toga scampered into the bathroom. “See ya in a little bit girlfriend!”
You could only stand there and let out an amused snicker. “My best friend is a serial killer.”
