MHA Shared Voice Actors Part 2
Here you all go, since you all asked for yet another part to the MHA voice actors I have brought it together. This one was a lot easier to pull together since these actors aren't as known as the first parts actors. Yet somehow I squeezed in A BUNCH of actors. Well, hope you enjoy!!!
Ian Sinclair
Ian Sinclair is the voice of our quiet Mezo Shoji which is weird because Ian actually has a gifted musical voice if you know some of his other roles. Ian Sinclair began voice acting in the year 2007 as his first ever acting gig happened to be the character Toraji Ishida from the anime Bamboo Blade. Very early on in his acting career, Ian became the voice of Bardroy from Black Butler in the year of 2008. In 2012, Ian scored the lead role of the titled character Toriko. In 2013, Ian Sinclair lent his voice to MANY characters of the Thriller Bark arc of One Piece including the permanent role of the musical singing skeleton himself Humming Brook. Once again in 2014, Ian earned himself another leading role as Space Dandy's Dandy himself. In 2015, Ian became the lead antagonist of the Assassination Classroom Series: Reaper. Many major roles in 2016, Ian became Danganronpa's first homosexual character: Juzo Sakakura. Then he was crowned as Lawless, the vampire of Greed from Servamp. He was also Hajime Sugoroku, Cell 13's warden in Nanbaka. In 2018, Ian voiced Bokuto of Haikyu then in 2019 earned MANY notable roles from Viktor Licht of Fire Force, Shishio of Dr. Stone, the Narrator of Love is War, Nakiri of Food Wars but his most iconic of them all being Tsuchigomori Sensei of Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun. Wow, until I did my research, I had no idea Ian voiced so many characters I downright love with all my heart. Too bad he only has a super minor role in MHA.
Christopher Wehkamp
Christopher Wehkamp is the current actor of Shota Aizawa. If you hadn't known already, Shota Aizawa has had two voice actors over the years as the first actor quit after season 1. Christopher is a VERY new voice actor who began acting in 2016. (His wiki wasn't giving years sadly) Christopher doesn't have all that many iconic roles to claim as his own with Shota Aizawa being his most famous role to date as he primarily voices background characters. He's Black Clover's Solid Silva! Mest Gryder aka Doranbolt of Fairytail. Takehisa Hinawa of Fire Force. Lucifer of Highschool DXD. And lastly Tokyo Ghoul's Kishou Arima. A theme with Christopher's characters is that he tends to play characters that are the 'law'.
Mike McFarland
Mike McFarland is the voice actor of MHA's Masaro Ojiro AS WELL AS Ectoplasm. Mike is typically the producer AND director of many anime you see nowadays and LOVES to play the more 'oddball' characters out there by choice be it a random sheep in the background or a villain that lasted two seconds in One Punch Man. Mike got his start in voice acting in 1999 as Dragon Ball's own Master Roshi and is the ONLY English actor to voice Roshi over the last 20+ years. In 2003, Mike became the voice of Fruits Basket's Ritsu Sohma. In 2007, Mike became the voice of MANY One Piece characters including Buggy the Clown, the ENTIRE Clown Pirate crew as well as 'Muscular' Helmeppo. In 2008, Mike became the voice of Haruhi's 'father' Ranka Fujioka of Ouran High School Host Club. In 2014, Mike became Horse Face himself, Mr. Jean Kirschstein of Attack on Titan. In 2017, he became Tokyo Ghoul's Kotaro Amon. He's had many more... Weird roles over the years but again I just love how he prefers to play the oddball characters over others much like how some of his more known roles includes him being quirky transgenders and crossdressers, random animals in the background, or the most bizarre characters you can imagine. Trust me, going through his wiki, I'd see a character he voiced, search up said character and yell WTF! Sorry I pointed out his more 'serious' roles but hey, those are the ones he's most known for.
Jason Liebrecht
Jason Liebrecht is the voice of MHA's Dabi and let me tell ya... The second I searched him up, I immediately went 'Oh he be fine looking!' XD. Ok, back on track! Jason got his start in 2004 as Ban Midou of the anime GetBackers (Not Pictured). Although it took a while, In 2008, Jason got a step up from background characters as he was now the voice of Hei from Darker Than Black. Then in 2009, he became Lavi from D. Gray Man. In 2011, Jason became the sweetheart Finnian of Black Butler. In 2012, Jason voiced my personal favorite villain of One Piece: Leopard Boy Rob Lucci. In 2015 came Jason's most famous role to date being Yato from Noragami. In 2017 to current day, Jason is the voice of Attack on Titan's Beast Titan AKA Zeke Jeager. His most recent role as of now is his role as Fire Force's Vulcan. Like damn! Just how many sexy boys can one guy voice!? Sorry everyone but I can't deny it, I have a soft spot for quite a few of the guys Jason has voiced.
Caitlin Glass
Caitlin Glass is the perky lovable voice behind our Mina Ashido. Caitlin got her start voicing a multitude of characters from the anime Case Closed! Before immediately being offered the role as Winry Rockbell of Fullmetal Alchemist AND Brotherhood. Winry is honestly one of my all time favorite anime females! In 2007, Caitlin was offered a long term commitment as Princess Vivi of One Piece for 50+ episodes. In 2008, Caitlin was offered her first leading role as Haruhi Fujioka of Ouran HighSchool Host Club. In 2012, Caitlin accepted yet another long term commitment as Evergreen of Fairy Tail. In 2015, Caitlin became the voice behind Kyoko Kirigiri of the Danganronpa game AND anime series. In 2017, she became Vados of Dragon Ball and lastly in 2019 she became the voice of Fire Force's antagonist: Haumea. Caitlin Glass is definitely a mixed bag when it comes to acting, you never know what tricks she can pull out of her sleeve.
Kyle Phillips
Kyle Phillips is the voice of MHA's Denki Kaminari and out of all the MHA voice actors, Kyle is actually the LEAST known of them all. Kyle 97% of the time will be playing a background character/voice OR a one episode character in just about every given anime he's in and oddly enough Denki is most likely his most famous role. Sadly, Kyle doesn't have a very good filmography meaning I do not have timelines for this actor. So! I will instead just mention his most known anime roles. Are you a fan of One Piece? Well, Kyle Phillips is the voice of Pineapple Head Himself: Marco of the Whitebeard Pirates. Kyle is also the voice of Kineshi Hairo, the sports maniac of Saiki K (C'mon now let's do some Bunny Hops!!!). Although a super minor role, Kyle is Gluttony/World End of Servamp. A non-human role of his is Eclair of the Overlord Series. Kyle also remains as Genshiro Saji of the Highschool DXD series. On the other hand, that's about it for Kyle Phillips most known roles sadly. Somebody give this man a job!
Christopher Bevins
Christopher Bevins is the voice of MHA's Hanta Sero who got his start in the world of voice acting in 2002 as the character Bee from Dragon Ball. Christopher Bevins is more known for being a director in dubbed anime rather than a voice actor although he does have a few iconic characters up his sleeve. Christopher has been working in the cast of the anime One Piece voicing many background and animal characters much like Kyle Phillips. Also much like him, Chris earned himself as the voice of Laffitte the Mime of the Blackbeard Pirates. Chris is also the voice of Japan in Hetalia. Christopher is also the voice of Yasuhiro Hagakure of the Danganronpa game and anime series. Two of Christopher's most recent roles includes being the voice of Misono from Servamp as well as Tonio Trussardi of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I really have nothing to say about Christopher Bevins as an actor but if he's dedicated to his job as a director then I say 'you go dude!!!'
Newton Pittman
Newton Pittman is the voice of Twice: our Deadpool knockoff of the MHA world that we downright love! Let me just tell you, I was genuinely surprised after I looked at Newton's filmography and learned just who Twice shares a voice with. Although this actor is sadly only known for like two roles... Newton got his start in 2009 playing many background characters in anime such as Evangelion and Dragonball. Let's start out with Newton's most iconic role as Gray Fullbuster of Fairy Tail. His first lead role was Reiji 'Zwei' Azuma of the anime Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom. Newton's second and last leading role is Yamada of Yamada-Kun and the Seven Witches. Newton's first recurring role was Motoharu Tsuchimikado of A Certain Magical Index. Is it just me but for someone who's played such an iconic role such as Gray you'd think he'd be a more known actor in the dubbing world? I'm literally only assuming things, I've never seen more than five episodes of Fairy Tail but every female anime fan i've met who's seen Fairy Tail won't shut up over Gray's voice so...
Monica Rial
Monica Rial is the adorable voice of Asui Tsuyu and the most famous of this part 2 of actors. Monica got her start in voice acting in the year 2000 playing as the iconic character of Hello Kitty. Of course, she isn't Hello Kitty anymore as Hello Kitty typically doesn't talk and her actor is regularly replaced. In 2008, After MANY years of acting in lesser known anime, she was given the role as Karoo, Kuina as well as Tashigi of the One Piece series. In 2010, Monica became the new voice of Bulma of Dragon Ball. Monica is also the voice of Tsubaki of Soul Eater. Monica took on the long term commitment of Mirajane of Fairy Tail. She is also the voice of the title character Stocking of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt in 2012. In 2014, Monica became the main character of Watamote: Tomoko Kuroki. In 2015, Monica then became the one and only voice of Tokyo Ghoul's Rize Kamishiro as well as Assassination Classroom's Kaede Kayano. Monica Rial definitely is a mixed bag when it comes down to characters she's voiced.
Josh Grelle
Josh Grelle is the scary intimidating voice of Tokoyami Fumikage yet, his other famous roles are somewhat 'soft' compared to Tokoyami. Okay, once again I wasn't given a set of timelines for this actor so I'll just throw out his most famous roles. Tokoyami isn't Josh's most famous roles as he's better known as Armin Arlert of Attack on titan, The main character Issei of Highschool DXD, Yukiteru Amano of Future Diary, as well as the main character Yuri Katsuki of Yuri on Ice. Delving a little bit into video games too, Josh Grelle is the sophisticated voice behind Byakuya Togami of the Danganronpa game and anime series. Josh is also the voice of Dr. Stone's Kinro, Subaru of Diabolik Lovers, Aiichiro of Free!, and his last famous role being Sadao/Satan of The Devil is a Part Timer. This guy has such 'fluffy' characters yet all the same time he voices Tokoyami and Togami!? I never realized just how much I love and appreciate this actor until now.
Kellen Goff
Kellen Goff is the voice of MHA's Plague Doctor Kai Chisaki/Overhaul and weirdly enough this guy is barely known in the anime community but in the video game industry instead. Kell Goff hasn't began dubbing anime until 2017 where he played as Masato Chigusa of Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga. In 2019, he was the voice of Rekka from Fire Force, Diavolo of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and lastly the Spider Demon of Demon Slayer. Delving into his video game roles, he's very well known in the Five Nights at Freddy's community as the voice behind EVERY Freddy Fazbear. Most notably Funtime Freddy and the original Freddy Fazbear. I'm gonna say this right now, Kellen Goff REALLY loves to play villains doesn't he?
Bryce Papenbrook
Bryce Papenbrook is actually one of MHA's MOST famous actors to ever play a part in said anime yet he only played as the one time character of Yo Shindo, an antagonist of MHA season 3. Bryce got his start in voice acting in the year of 2000 playing Vash the Stampede of Trigun. In 2011, Bryce became the voice of Masaomi Kida of Durarara! In 2012, Bryce took on two more VERY iconic roles as Rin Okumura of Blue Exorcist as well as Kirito of Sword Art Only. In 2014, Bryce took on the long term commitment of Eren Jaeger of Attack on Titan as well as Staz of Blood Lad. (Which oddly enough, the actor of which played Rin's Brother in Blue Exorcist came back and played Staz's brother as well in Blood Lad meaning these actors played as brothers in multiple instances.) In 2015, Bryce became the voice of my favorite Jojo character: Caesar Zeppeli of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. In 2015, Bryce became the voice of two iconic Danganronpa characters Makoto Naegi as well as Nagito Komaeda in both the game AND anime series. Lastly, Bryce Papenbrook's most iconic recent role was Inosuke of Demon Slayer. Some more honorable mentions would be of how Bryce is the voice of Adrien/Cat Noir of Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir as well as the voice of Silver the Hedgehog from the Sonic series. Wow, Can I just say I freaking love this actor? He's played 3 (Technically 4 counting Silver) of my all time favorite anime characters out there!!!
Alright, this time around, which actor or characters were you the most surprised over? Which actor was your favorite?
