(Y/n) vs. Todoroki
This was different. Shinso had been relatively easy. Ojiro had figured out his Quirk pretty easily and relayed the info to you before the fight. Thanks to him, you managed to put the purple haired punk down with just a few punches. A sense of relief or pride or... just a better feeling came over you once you knocked him out. Maybe it was because of what he said before or maybe it was because you were angry at yourself for missing out on the Calvary battle. The next fight with Izuku was a bit harder. Izuku's Quirk smashed your creations to bits before they could take a step and any progress you made he would just flick his finger and you would be flung to the edge of the ring, just barely balancing properly. Izuku was a tough one, but eventually, his Quirk got the better of him, He seemed restrained. He only managed to get through two of his fingers before he hesitated, leading to your victory. This fight, however...
Present Mic: (L/n) just barely dodged that attack! Todoroki has him pinned against the edge!
Todoroki was a different story. You knew about his Quirks, you had seen him use both of them and now the time came to face him and you couldn't keep up. His ice froze anything it touched making it hard to move yourself let alone your creations and if he used his flames he could just melt the poor things. They were only made of cement or whatever material you had. A shudder ran through your body as you scrambled out of the way of another burst of ice.
Todoroki: I hesitated in my match with Bakugo and I lost... I'm not making that mistake again.
His tone was cold, much like the waves of ice he sent to force you off the square. Your heart thumped rapidly in your chest as you tried to contemplate what to do. What could you do? Your only real options were to try charging him or allow yourself to be pushed off the stage. The noise of the crowd quieted as you were left with your own thoughts. You had to figure out something before you-
Jack: Hey kid.
(Y/n): What?
The figure in your head scoffed at your tone.
Jack: Listen to me or we'll lose got it?
(Y/n): What could we possibly do?!
You were growing frustrated. Everything was fuzzy. You grit your teeth in anger and looked up to find more ice coating the cement, in a flood toward you.
Jack: Get on top of the ice!
Jack barked an order in your inner ear as you managed to leap onto the approaching ice. You couldn't steady yourself on the slippery surface, but you managed to get a forward motion going. You looked like the most uncoordinated dancer in existence, but that mattered little to you as you steadily approached the slightly stunned Todoroki. His face darkened lightly as he pulled back his arm ready to unleash another tide of ice to freeze you in place, but you finally had enough momentum to launch an attack of your own.
Jack: Wait! Stop!
You ignored the advice of the voice. Your fist curled back, ready to catch Todoroki in the nose. You launched yourself forward with what momentum you could gain and launched your attack. Rather than meeting the flesh of Todoroki's face, you met a hard wall of ice. The ice barrier was formed by Todoroki at the last second, its momentum so great contrary to yours it caught your fist and snapped your arm at the elbow. Biting your tongue, you managed to wrench your hand free of the ice and stumble backward onto the bed of ice. You quietly suffered as you clung to your arm in pure pain. Your fingers twitching as your wrist locked in place to keep the pained nerves at bay as best as you could. Damnit! You haven't been able to recuperate the needed chemicals and now your body was weak as a toothpick. You would have smacked yourself in anger if it hadn't been for your arm. You scrambled to back away on the ice but found none of the momentum you had before. Todoroki simply broke the ice barrier and stepped toward you.
Todoroki: I'll admit... I wasn't expecting that.
He glanced from your injured appendage to you.
Todoroki: I apologize from hurting your arm, but I have to win this.
Todoroki readied another blast of ice, ready to finally trap you in place.
(Y/n): I guess I have to thank you Todo.
Todoroki glanced at you curiously, obviously, something was up.
Todoroki: Why?
(Y/n): You've given me just what I needed.
Before he could question you further, your uninjured hand gripped a loose shard of ice and tossed it at Todoroki. He wasn't fazed by such a small piece of his own ice, but he was surprised when he found it morphing into a creature. What was essentially a flying torso with arms collided into Todoroki and forced him backward. Todorki had much better traction on the ice than you did, but the sudden push backward did manage to force him off the ice. A soft smirk graced your features as you uneasily clambered to your feet. One last push. That was all you needed to win this. As long as Todoroki didn't figure it out. You ungraceful running slip pressed onward as you reached the edge of the ice and jumped. You by no means had the high ground, but this was all you needed. Todoroki seemed to be seething with a hidden rage at the fact he was easily tricked like this. His left side seemed to glow before he burst into flames, melting the poor creation of yours easily. This must have been what he meant by no hesitation. You swallowed deeply as Jack's voice filled your head with angry shouts. You and Todoroki rapidly grew closer as you reeled back your uninjured hand and Todoroki seemed to add fuel to his flames. This was the deciding moment!
The crowd watched the fight with mixed emotions. Some cheered happily and encouraged the fighting, others wanted more damage and called for that. There were a few, heroes and citizens alike who thought the fact the (H/c) haired boy had injured his arm should have been enough to end the match. Then there were a few heroes who called it a test of strength and were glad it played out longer. Then there were the students. The majority of the students felt uneasy about watching the fight. Two, in particular, were downright scared.
Ochaco: Why hasn't the fight stopped?! (Y/n) hurt his arm!
Izuku: I can understand your fears, but my arm was damaged as well and they didn't end the fight. Unless it is really serious I think the fight can keep going.
Kaminari: Don't you think Todoroki took it a bit far?
Kyoka: you can't really blame Todoroki for breaking (Y/n)'s arm. He was trying to stop the attack.
Kaminari: That... is true.
Kaminari turned to ask the opinion of a certain frog-like girl only to find her staring at the fight in silent recognition. Her face held no particular emotion, or at least not one he could register. He quietly returned to looking at the fight.
Kirishima: H-He... did it!
Kirishima called out as the crowd jumped to its feet. The battle had reached its conclusion and Midnight yelled out the winner's name.
Midnight: The winner is...!
With grit teeth, you landed just before Todoroki. Closing your borrowed eye, you ducked under Todoroki's arm to get behind him. However, this meant wading through the growing flames, the heat bringing an instant sweat your face as you managed to get behind Todoroki. Through a rapidly blinking eye, you wrapped your injured arm around Todoroki's waist, using your already grit teeth to whether the pain, before linking your slightly numb fingers with your other hand. As the Todoroki's flames grew, you managed to gather the strength reserved in other parts of your body and rally it to your arms and back as you lifted Todoroki and flexed backward. Though it looked terrible, you managed to suplex Todoroki into the cement behind you. A cough racked through your body part way through, causing your grip to loosen. During this loosening, you more or less tossed Todoroki behind you. You hit the ground with a thud, your head taking the brunt as you rolled onto your stomach weakly to see if your plan had worked. Todorki picked himself up and dusted himself off, his flames extinguished and his pride slightly bruised.
Todoroki: Why would you...
Todoroki tried to wrap his head around your reckless move until his heart sank. His gaze dropped to the cement below him to see a painted line.
Midnight: Todoroki has been knocked out of bounds! The winner is... (Y/n) (L/n) of Class 1-A!
A soft smile broke out onto your face. Everything in your head was fuzzy and frantic as you managed to pull yourself upwards into a standing position. Todoroki, who had no wounds and his suit was only slightly dirtied, lost to someone sporting an injured arm and multiple bruises. You stepped lightly toward the entrance to get to the nurse's office. You brushed past the stunned Todoroki, letting your hand reach up to lightly pat his shoulder before returning to support your arm. You ignored the shouts of the crowds as you put all of your energy into to getting to the nurse's office and getting some lemon juice. As you staggered down the corridor, someone caught your attention. She had just left the nurse's office and turned to look at you. A soft smile rose to your lips as you sped up slightly. You knew who it was. She had waited for you! You tripped over your own feet and fell forward into the girl's arm. She awkwardly held you before stepping back against the wall to support your weight. You were a sorry sight for her. Your singed and burned clothing, along with your instantly sunburned skin looked terrible. Your hair was stuck yo your forward due to the sweat accumulated during the fight. You voice weakly muttered out the girl's name.
(Y/n): Tsu...
You muttered happily before feeling drowsy. Your tired form relaxed into the girl's rather rigid one before falling unconscious.
Mina: Where are you? Yaoyo- oh!
The pink female wandered the halls in search of Yaoyorozu. She found the female in question, but in a rather compromising position. Yaoyorozu was holding (Y/n), clearly exhausted and weak, in her arm's as she was backed into the wall. His head resting on her should with a slight grin on his snoozing form. Yaoyorozu didn't know what to do. The male had muttered out something, but she couldn't hear it as she awkwardly pet the male in her own way of comforting the tired student.
Yaoyorozu: W-What do I do?
Mina chuckled lightly at the sight before wrapping one of the male's arms around the back of her neck.
Mina: We should probably get him into the nurse's office.
Yaoyorozu: Right!
Yaoyorozu shifted out from under the male's weight to evenly share him with Mina, as to better help him along into the nurse. Yaoyorozu sported a soft blush from the whole experience. It's not often you get suddenly hugged by a student of the other gender. Though in her own innocent way, Yaoyorozu kinda liked the hug. She would need to talk to (Y/n) when he woke up to learn why he did such a thing. But for now, her and Mina simply helped him into the room.
