I Can't Help Myself

???: ... will... he...

???: Possibly... eighty-seven percent...

The first thing you awoke to was muffled words. You couldn't quite pinpoint them but your body felt extremely tired, probably a by-product of being knocked out. However, you couldn't quite figure out why certain parts of your body ached fiercely, your muscles screaming and the skin atop of the muscles burning. Your breath panted out softly but your face was covered by something, clasped around your mouth and nose as your eyes slid open. One of your eyes slide open while the other one couldn't. The real eye... but where was... Your eyes glanced around only to see you were in a glass tube of sorts.

???: Reco-... now?

???: ...Genetics...

Your eye glared around the glass, feeling your body reawaken as your hand managed to lift and press against the glass.

(Y/n): What the hell... is this...

You spoke out in a mutter, not sure you made any nose through the strange liquid and glass, the breathing apparatus on your face keeping you breathing. A feeling of anger and frustration filled your tired corpse, your limbs barely reacting to stimulation as even lifting yours had strained your body. You also couldn't figure out why your mechanical eye wouldn't open, though you got your answer quickly. Across from you was a few bits of your clothing, scattered tools, and in the middle of it, your eye. Mei's baby that she trusted to you. Mei... it has been a while since you talked with her. Weren't you supposed to go on a date with her? Hmm...

???: Were you?

A deep voice filled your head, your eye searching around the glass though you couldn't pinpoint a location.

???: Don't worry, I'm not here to kill you or harm you, enough has been done to you already by the heroes. anything I do would be barely scraping the surface.

(Y/n): What the hell are you talking about?

The deep voice chuckled in your ears, a chill running down your spine.

???: I'm not here to anger you or frustrate you. If anything I simply want to know something.

You let out a sigh, your eye glancing around, once more looking around to try and figure out what was going on.

(Y/n): I don't know who you are. I don't know where I am, and unless if I get some answers you won't get anything from me, stranger.

???: Fair enough. You have been taken in by a group that only wants to see the world free of heroes' influence. to allow for the people of Japan... no... the world, set free and thinking for themselves. And I believe you will be a major part of that world.

(Y/n): You're a villain, aren't you?

???: Why do you say that?

(Y/n): I've listened to a lot of people, civs, heroes, villains, only villains go out of their way to paint something as a shining beacon. Heroes always act prideful, and civilians don't like going into details.

???: Good. I was hoping you would put up a fight. I have no place for the spineless and the foolish.

You sat in silence wondering how you played into the game this voice was supposedly playing. The burning in your muscles seemed to finally start subsiding your limbs moving a bit more.

???: You're not foolish (L/n) nor are you a coward. Our mutual associate Jack has provided me plenty to know not only where you mentally strong, but your body was the perfect vessel as well. It was only a matter of science.

Once again you sat in silence. You wanted to deny that Jack had betrayed you, but he was simply too much of a loose cannon of an individual for you not to have expected something out of him at some point.

???: Do not worry, Jack did not betray you for some profit or gain. We acquired his assistance in exchange for a promise.

(Y/n): What... was that...

???: Jack insisted we keep you away from the heroes. He had grown rather fiery in his observations in U.A and seemingly grew attached to you. He feared that mental strength of yours was only going to cause your eventual slide into insanity by letting heroes corrupt it.

(Y/n): How are heroes the bad guys here... everyone is twisted in their own way... heroes, villains, people, it's what keeps us human.

The voice chuckled again, a dark figure moving out from behind the glass though due to the positioning of the light, you still couldn't tell who it was.

???: Well spoken. Your troubles are known quite well through our organization, it why you were also selected as a target during our little operation. I wish we could have come to you personally, but contact was made impossible by the heroes.

(Y/n): Well I've been listening to you ramble so... I'm guessing you're with the people that attacked the USJ.

???: I hold no control over the day to day operations of the league, I simply provide support where needed. But enough with the theatrics. Your mind has been focused on one thing, why you are here, why I'm speaking to you, and why you're in the tube.

You nodded your head softly.

???: While you were asleep, the suspicions of the league were confirmed...

Jack: This was not what we agreed on!

Jack slammed his fist down onto the bar, slamming the door behind him loudly, alerting the other gathered members.

Jack: This was not the plan Shigaraki! I'm supposed to be with the boy every step of this scheme of yours.

The male in question lifted his head, turning to the masked male to show off the hand he was wearing on his face, obscuring his features.

Shigaraki: Quite old man, things change.

The masked male turned to a well dressed looking man, his body comprised mostly of a thick purple vortex.

Jack: Kurogiri, I'm this closing from losing it so you damn well better have some answers.

Kurogiri set down the glass he was polishing softly, looking over at the other members. Most didn't care for the conflict between the three, some seemed a bit phased, the blonde girl seemed sad and aside from her, the other blonde was fuming in the corner.

Kurogiri: The boy is fine. It was decided that keeping both targets in the same location would only jeopardize the entire operation.

Jack: And I wasn't consulted about this... why? Better yet, why wasn't I taken to his location? We had a deal!

Kurogiri: If it was deemed important we would have included you. I sorry you have taken such offense with this move but the two of you will be reunited soo-

???: Why don't you tell him the real reason?

The tension in the room grew even worse as a certain flame wielder butted in. Kurogiri let out a sigh but knew this tidbit of information would unnerve the masked man to no end. Shigaraki let out a sigh as well, snapping his fingers to have the other blonde in the room put to sleep in a sense... A resounding smack later and the muffled barking and howling was silenced.

Kurogiri: The doctor and leader asked for him.

Jack: Why the hell would they ask for him?

Shigaraki seemed to let out an angry sigh through his nose. Kurogiri paused for a second before continuing, the other members in the room that had been out of the loop also listening in.

Kurogiri: The doctor grew curious about your reports of the boy and wanted samples to test something. So we instead elected to send the boy there to better secure Katsuki Bakugo here. A report came in a bit ago and... we now needed to change plans without your knowledge.

Kurogiri paused to let the masked man speak up but he was surprisingly quiet, seemingly listening in to try and get a clear answer out of the most mature seeming member in the bar at the moment.

Kurogiri: The boy's quirk is dubbed Transmutate, through fluids in his body of an unknown substance, he can transform and bring to life creatures made of various materials. However, this quirk is... a vessel.

???: A vessel?

Kurogiri: The science is beyond my knowledge, but his quirk is incomplete in a sense. It explains the weakness of his creations and the lack of this fluid to create stronger creations.

Jack: So what does this have to do with anything?

Himiko: Did you do something to (Y/n)...

She asked in a low voice, glaring at the male. She had met a nice boy earlier, but you were something special, a scared up boy that didn't mind her unique views. she wasn't about to lose you... to anyone...

Kurogiri: I didn't want to speak of this now, but with your attention like this and since we have pushed too far... the boy's body, though unstable to a degree, is a perfect candidate for the quirk, All For One.

The room grew silent. Many grew silent, not sure what to make of the news. Even Himiko was a bit confused as to what this meant. Jack on the other hand felt his heart stop.

Jack: Y-You're telling me... he plans to transfe-

Kurogiri: It is nothing like that. The boy will be injected with All For One's DNA and receive a weaker version of the Quirk. If his body stabilizes and handles the ability, then the plan will proceed from there.

Jack: W-where... where are they?

Silence...

Jack: Where the hell are they Kurogiri?!

Kurogiri: Do you truly plan to stop this, Jack?

Jack: this was not part of the damn deal! Of course, I'm going to stop this-

Shigaraki: It's too late.

Jack: W-What...

Shigaraki turned back to the male, a smile spreading across his face as he held his palm out to the male.

Shigaraki: The procedure is already done...

Your body froze, your mind trapped in a moment of pure silence and shock that you could hear the very blood coursing through your veins. Your eye widened as much as it possibly could as you did your best to not throw up in shock.

(Y/n): Y-You can't...

The male chuckled, though it seemed a bit saddened.

???: We had no choice, the heroes are mobilizing as we speak. I promise to support you with all that I have... I mean well...

The figure finally started approaching the glass. You managed to lift your arm, pressing your fingers to the glass in an attempt to push through the glass, though your hand was overshadowed by the bigger of the figure, his face coming into view and you could just tell who this was... further solidifying the horrible truth that now eroded into your shocked mind.

All For One: You now share my Quirk. You are a successor of All for one and together we will rule Japan if not from the light... but the shadows...
