Floating Memories - Ochaco Route
The other students seemed to have been competing with each other to figure out who had the best-designed room, but you got an exemption from the contest for... obvious reasons. It was certainly due to your grandparents decorating your room and not the other issue. You didn't mind how they put your room together though. It looked like your room in your apartment with Tsu. It was certainly going to be a transition from living with Tsu to having your classmates as your roommates.
(Y/n): Haa...
Your tired body flopped back onto your newly made bed, allowing yourself a moment to stare up at the ceiling. Your pajamas felt the same as ever, but your skin itself seemed to had been tarnished to the point of discomfort. You knew the reason of course. The scars on your body, the actions done by that crazed old man... the new Quirk coursing through your vein. You still weren't sure how the doctors managed to not find the Quirk, though you suspected your grandparent's meddling had a hand in it. You didn't know whether to thank them or... a sigh left your lips as you closed your eye. Mei should be working on a replacement since they couldn't find the other orb after the battle between All Might and All For One. Suddenly a knock filled the room, reverbing off the walls as you took a moment to quickly glance at the door. You hadn't expected a guest, especially with the new curfew system kicking in soon, but you managed to pull your tired body out of bed long enough to shuffle over to the door and open it. Your eyes widened softly and your breath hitched as you spotted her...
Ochaco Uraraka
The brown-haired girl stood awkwardly in the hall before you, clad in what you could only guess were her PJs consisting of a t-shirt and shorts.
(Y/n): Uraraka? What are you doing here?
Uraraka: A-Ah well... your friends were worried about you so they asked me to check up on you.
Your shoulders sagged softly but a smile managed to worm itself onto your face.
(Y/n): Well that is kind of everyone, but I'm doing alright. Nothing some sleep shouldn't be able to cover.
Uraraka: That's good to hear.
(Y/n): Yeah...
Uraraka: ...
The air between the two of you grew a bit awkward as you didn't really know what to talk about. You were tired and drained from learning about your newfound place in life, plus you truly expected anyone to check on you.
(Y/n): Do you... do you want to come inside? I don't have any drinks or anything.
Uraraka seemed to ponder the offer for a moment before nodding.
Uraraka: Don't worry about that I'm still from earlier. Thank you.
The girl slid past you into the room and seemed to silently marvel at the various collectibles and items you had collected over the years.
Uraraka: Your room is really cool! I wish we could have seen it earlier.
(Y/n): Well you're the first one to see it aside from my grandparents so congratulations.
Your legs carried your over to your bed and brought you to sit down on the plush material to rest your weary body. It's weird that despite so spending so much time in a hospital resting, you didn't get any rest.
(Y/n): How is Midoriya and everyone else doing? I'm sure Aizawa wasn't pleased with them.
You chuckled softly to yourself but slowly quieted yourself as Uraraka clenched her arm softly.
Uraraka: It's just like you to ask about others when you suffered so much.
(Y/n): Well... I don't like dwelling on myself.
Uraraka turned to you and her brown eyes met your solitary (E/c) one and her heart dropped softly in her chest. How could you keep going? she was in this for the money but... She didn't want to be mean but you looked horrible. Soft scars littered your skin in a few places not covered by your PJs and you were missing an eye. It made her wonder if simply being a hero was the only reason you were here.
Uraraka: Are you ok, (Y/n)?
(Y/n): I already said I-
Uraraka: I mean are you really ok. You can say you are fine all you want but being fine and being ok are different things.
The words allowed you to take a moment back, thinking over everything that had happened before shifting the conversation as quickly as you could. The mind was a dangerous place, especially in your state.
(Y/n): Well... I think I'm fi- ok. I'm ok at least in the sense that I'm happy to be back with your guys.
You offered a smile to the girl who after a moment of thought returned one of her own.
(Y/n): Though... I would feel great if you allowed two things.
Uraraka: Sure, what are they?
(Y/n): One... I would like to call you by your first name. It's just kinda awkward for you to call me by my first name and me, not by yours.
Uraraka: Heh, I don't mind that. Go ahead and give it a try!
A smile tugged at your lips once more.
(Y/n): Well... thank you Ochaco. Heh... and my second request is... I would like a proper kiss.
Ochaco: Eh?!
The girl's face exploded in a blush as you made your statement. You were a bit hesitant about asking such a thing but you wanted to lift the subtle tension that was filling the air, despite Ochaco's attempts to be lighthearted.
(Y/n): You remember the training we did with the fake bomb? I believe I remember a certain brown-haired girl tricking me with a kiss.
Ochaco: I-I-I don't know what you're t-talking about!
(Y/n): Aww come on you didn't really think I'd forget a kiss, did you?!
The girl's face was bright red but she took a moment to look your over, your own eye meeting her gaze for a few moments before the girl stepped forward to be standing in front of you. Your body found the strength to stand up before the girl to make it easier on her, though you hadn't planned on her even doing this. Maybe this was just an elaborate ruse to smack you, or perhaps trick you again.
(Y/n): Ah it's alright I was just joki-
Your mind froze up as a gentle kiss was pressed to your left cheek before the brown-haired girl rested her head against your chest.
Ochaco: Ahh! I couldn't do it. I hope this will work instead.
Her words floated into your ears carefully as her arms lifted to wrap around your chest, positioning her hands carefully as to not float you off into the ceiling. Your brain finally came to the realization you had been pecked on the cheek and your own face warmed up.
(Y/n): T-Thank... you...
Ochaco: You can always talk to me (Y/n), ok? So no more dealing with bad things on your own. It will be ok, alright?
Those words struck an emotional chord in your chest that caused you to gulp softly before lifting an arm to return the hug with the gravity-defying girl, your chin lowering to rest on her head as the two of your sat in silence.
