The sports festival that UA High to showcase students skills and abilities was nerve racking even though I basically trained for it and others my entire life. It was a chance for students to be scouted by companies and to prove themselves even though I didn't really have too. I wasn't the only one who had anxiety and butterflies in their stomachs when the first few events started

Every round had new challenges for each class. The first few rounds of teamwork before the one on one matches started, the round shoto and I were prepared for it in all ways. Everyone wanted to come out as number one but some of their performances made me think otherwise.

I knew this moment would come either in the final round or the round before it came.

"Next up is Kobayashi Hayami  and Todoroki Shoto. This match should definitely be an interesting fight between two close friends."

Their relationship is most definitely not a  secret. As children they were basically paraded around as the next top heros by Enji.

They entered the rings on opposite sides. The crowd cheers.

"You better not go soft on me, all right Sho." I yelled across from where I stood

"Since when have I ever gone soft on you Mimi." He chuckled

Todoroki made the first move creating a pillar of ice treading towards me. I used my power sending me hovering above his ice.

"Kobayashi Hayami's quirk is telekinesis and telepathy " Present Mic explains .

"Great for dodging far and short distance attacks; she's basically the full hero package. Todoroki begins to hover above the ground, quickly switching positions with Mimi for her to slam him into the ice he had made earlier. Blood falling from some scratches he had gotten after hitting the ice.

"That's gotta hurt." Present Mic cringes.

I  ran towards Todoroki before being able to use my quirk; he created another few pillars of ice surrounding my wrist pulling them to the floor. I managed to  use my quirk on him sending him flying pinning him to the wall. I think my anger had gotten to me, not being able to move freely. I saw the pained expression on his face causing me to ease up on the force of my quirk. I saw the look of shock on his face. I was basically yielding the fight. I couldn't stand that I was causing that unnecessary pain to my best friend. We've hurt each other before but that pain I saw on his face scared me, never have I seen that look from him.

The entire audience was silent not knowing what was going to happen. I even heard the sharp breath of enji not knowing who to route for. When we both had our separate matches he yelled for the both of us to win. Some of those lasted mere seconds even with my own classmates. I felt bad at some sorets.

His sudden movement had sent me moving with the ice I was in, Shoto had used his quirk sending the pillars I was attached too out of the box causing me to lose. People were  at the end of their seats. Enji had said nothing. The entire place was silent witnessing the most powerful kids in 1A trained by a pro since children fight till the other loss not even realizing how they lost.

"These kids are seriously overpowered." A random person yelled making the audience erupt into hysterics.

"Kobayashi Hayami is out of bound. Shoto Todoroki has won."

I finally release shoto from where he was pinned. He ran over to me melting the ice I was in.

"Why did you do that mimi, you could've won. You have never forfeited a fight ever before." He put my arm onto his shoulder walking us to recovery girl to fix whatever injuries we have. 

"Because i had never hurt you before Sho. I saw the look on your face you looked like you were actually in danger. I didn't want that look to ever come from something I did." He had a sad look on his face.

"I will admit you did go really hard on me and when you sent me to the ice I felt like something cracked. But you're never gonna hurt me Mi i know almost all you moves you hardly affect me." he chuckled. I hit him gently on his not bleeding arm.

"Whatever Shoto." We walked off from the arena

Later that night I went over to Shotos house for an "Emergency".

"Sho why did you S.O.S me? I'm just trying to relax." Looking up from my phone I saw that he was wearing a suit with jeans.

"Okay what's going on here?" I pointed towards his get up."

"Yoko asked to hang out and I wanna look good but I don't know." this is the first time i've really seen Sho flustered.

"And why do you need me? From what I can see you could have face timed me."

" I want you to maybe watch us from somewhere inconspicuous and text me on stuff I can do." I agreed, putting him in something more casual.  He told me he went to get  boba and sushi.

"She sent me a pink heart, what do I do?" He sounded panicked.

"Act normal, it's just a heart. She's probably just excited." Hes taking this to serious.

I sat a couple booths down with a blonde wig and hat on. His little outing with Yoko was going pretty good until my view was blocked by someone sitting in front of me.

"I've been watching these idiots all night and I look to see I'm not the only spy here." A gruff familiar voice said.

" Hi Katsuki. Since our covers been blown to ourselves let's get some sushi." We had eaten looking over at our friends who looked back only to see the both of us having a little outing of our own. We all started laughing  causing people to look at us weirdly but we all knew why.
