Todoroki knows  he's had a hard life. He had just begun to warm up to his classmates, specifically the  "Dekusquad" as Ashido called them .

But this morning he was feeling withdrawn. He was thinking about his mother. How she had tried so hard to defend him from his bastard of a father. How she mentally broke down and scarred him for life.

Soon, class would start. Todoroki looked around. All were present except Meiyo.Then she walked in.

With hair as white as his mother's.

Meiyo say down, waiting for class to begin. She realized the shock on Todoroki 's  face. Crap. She hadn't meant to trigger any bad memories. She quickly turned around and tried to console him with her eyes. He looked down and not at her.

She would apologize to him later.

After school, Meiyo walked up to Todoroki and asked if she could speak to him.

He said yes.

She quickly said, " Listen , you seemed distraught when you saw my hair color today. If it bothered you in any way, I won't wear it like this anymore, ok?"

 Todoroki paused, then said, " Yes, I would prefer not seeing you use that color

Understood. Thank you and good night.", She said, and walked away from him.

 Later, when she walked into the dorms,  everyone was talking about their hero names again and they stopped her to ask what was going to be her hero name

She paused then said, "In tough times, you need someone to look up to. All Might was our symbol of peace, our shining beacon. Now that symbol of peace is gone. We should mourn this loss, but we should have hope that one as inspiring and amazing as him will show up. "

"I personally don't like the current number one hero, but I want to be a hero who sets an example, who shows the traits all heroes should have. I want to inspire hope into people until peace returns. So that will be my hero name : Hope."

 She finished her short speech, and left to go to bed.
