Appearance// Kitiara stands at a height of 5'3 with a pretty petite and but athletic and slightly lean figure. She has long luscious honey blonde locks that end just a little past her waist, a few strands often framing her pace and even a few sticking out ever so slightly in different directions on top of her head, her hair often looking quite fluffy. She has a soft, round facial structure and almond-shaped vermillion orbs that honestly look a lot more like a vibrant sunset at times when the light hits them just right with long eyelashes to frame them, along with a button-shaped nose.

Attached to her lower back is a large and long fan of snow white feathers with a scarlet, sunset-orange and black designs on them that resemble those of a peacock's. being of a bird-like structure. On occasion like when her quirk is activated, those feathers when fanned out to be on full display will give off a slight rippling and hypnotic sort of effect to the person who is her target. Kitiara doesn't have any blemishes on any part of her body despite for the occasional faded scars that she had gained from her training when she was younger.  She has a beauty mark on the base of her left collarbone and doesn't have any tattoos or piercings besides the standard ear piercings she already has. Her natural nails are naturally quite sharp and so she does file them down a bit pretty often to ensure that they aren't always sharp enough to cut someone, unless she wishes to intentionally.

"Oh come on Kasumi, you've gotta live a little! As I say, there's never a day that you should only be saying no to things."

Personality// Thrill-seeker and teasing, Kitiara comes off to most as the life of the party. Due her rather innocent appearance it draws people in towards to want to get to know her better, only for them to be suddenly overwhelmed with the large personality that this small girl has. When talking to her you are immediately met with this air of carelessness and naïveté, the blonde green being quite outspoken and very friendly for someone who lost people would expect to be timid and reserved. She is often compared to a never ending sparkler, bright and always fizzing all over the place. To many she may come off as a bit of a troublemaker and an airhead, and honestly you wouldn't really be too far off with either assumption. Never one to really dwell too much on the rules and ideal expectations that people or places may have, Kitiara tends to march to the best of her own drum and be who she is no matter where she is or who she is around. She doesn't really care much for the opinions of others as long as what she's doing is making herself happy and isn't really harming anyone. She either doesn't care about the opinions of others, or honestly just tunes them out when they begin to criticize how she acts. She loves to life to the fullest and best than she can, even if it means getting in a bit of trouble or having people send her looks of disappointment here and there. She doesn't care. In her mind she doesn't see the point of worrying about every little aspect of life or wondering why someone doesn't like you, what matters at the end of the day is that you love yourself and love living. What's the point of living if you aren't going to enjoy your time on the earth? That's her thinking anyways. Sometimes it's necessary to come up with an execute a rather insane plan. You gotta do what you gotta do.

"Hey, hey! Look at the cool stuff that I found! No I did not steal it, I thought that you would think better of me than to have. I bought this with my own money, thank you very much. Now, whether the money was borrowed or not? That's for you to not know."

Now because of her light and playful nature it isn't to say that Kitiara is naive. Oh no. While she lives on the wilder side of life and everything she does is done on her own accord, it's also been thought through too so that she gets the minimum amount of consequences dealt to her. She absolutely loves stirring up the trouble, as long as it doesn't cause her to get caught up. She may look innocent, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have an attitude on her. Her sharp, yet very slick words when used intentionally can hurt many people's feelings very quickly. She had a problem of controlling her mouth whenever she gets fired up, getting a good portion of her aggression out through poking fun at one's weaknesses or playing mind games with them. She loves to mess with people and pick away at their brains as she pleases, despite not being much of a prankster herself. What? She finds mind games and the concepts of deception, distraction and hypnosis to be quite entertaining. Makes sense since her quirk deals with distraction and hypnosis. There is also the fact that she is quite the flirt. Yes, yes, you hear it from her. She absolutely loves the idea of making people a flustered and blushing mess. It's quite entertaining to her, especially when she does it to get on their nerves and annoy them. She's actually pretty good at it too. There's also the slight, eensy tiny little issue that one, she has quite the ego and two, she is just a tad bit spoiled. What? She can't help her humongous ego and it isn't uncommon for her to gain praise and grin widely when she is praised for what she does. It just fuels her and her spoiled nature is just a result of how she was raised.

However while she may not seem like it from her physical appearance and as said before, Kitiara has one of the smartest mouths and shortest tempers that you may ever come across, having gotten it from her mother. She absolutely loves any sort of challenge and hates to be the first one to back down with a strong passion and if you get her all fired up, please be prepared for a hëll of an opponent because when the flame is lit inside of her it will not die out until she reaches her end goal. While she may be looked to physically as delicate, she hates being underestimated and will surely and quickly prove that she is not a force to be reckoned with by any means. She also hates being disrespected and is a firm believer of respect is earned, not given so if you disrespect her do not be surprised when she claps back at full force without any intent of holding back.

Kitiara feels like she has to be the daring type, doing it both out of necessity and want. She's very abstract when it comes to her thinking of the justice system in Japan, not seeing everything as binary or black and white. There is a spectrum of good and bad and right and wrong, and she doesn't always think that heroes are necessarily the good guys. They can do some harm just like villains do, and she also acknowledges that villains can be redeemed and more often than not, have valid reasons for doing what they do. Now is killing people justifiable? Absolutely not, but to say that all villains are completely evil and unredeemable is also a flawed way of thinking in her mind. And that's where she comes in to play.

"I'm just having an allergic reaction to the universe. You know what that means? I'm allowed to be dramatic without reason."

Kitiara is an extremely loyal person and when you have her loyalty, trust me she will do almost anything for you. She really cares about the different relationships that she has with people and because of it she tends to put the needs of others before herself and often prioritizes having a relationship with people rather than the specific content and treatment that she gets in a relationship. However, when that trust is lost and someone betrays her, the ebony loses all respect and trust in that person and she wishes to get back at them and make them hurt just as much as they had made her. She is very vindictive and vengeful in this way, but she hates the idea of one party being the one to get hurt while the other gets away scotch free. It isn't happening under watch. And there is always the chance that Kitiara's loyalty does not always just go into one person and is her priority. If necessary she will prioritize herself at the means of others if it means that things get done or if she believes that something needs to change. She is loyal, yes, but she is not blindly loyal.

Backstory// Kitiara was born to her parents when they were early adults, her mother being a chef and a previous gang member, having left it once she had found out that she was pregnant. Her father was a business man, yet very family-oriented so he did his best to at home the most that he could despite his busy schedule. Her parents made good money and lived a pretty well-off life and Kitiara was raised in a pretty good environment. However, because of her mother's previous affiliations with her old gang, it wasn't uncommon for some of her old friends who were members to come and swing by and come and check in on her mother and little Kitiara. And because of that, Kitiara grew to be inspired by the strength of these women and her mother. She had been a member of a very powerful gang in the city and everyone knew of her alias and her strength. She was awesome!

So of course like a little kid does, she said that she wanted to be in a gang which was quickly discouraged by both of her parents. Being in one may have seemed cool, but it was dangerous and definitely not something their child should be involved in. Especially since her mother knew that not everyone made it out of one so easily, her sister being an example. And so while Kitiara wasn't allowed to join a gang, as she grew older her mother did want her to be able to defend herself if needed and so she had Kitiara train with one of her best friends from the gang. That combined with Kitiara's training that she received in middle school in hopes of becoming a hero made her a fighting machine. She absolutely loved combat training and it only got better when she used her quirk.

However, it was in her final year in middle school that she had met a certain younger student who was new to the school. Kasumi Mitahara. Kitiara was quick to notice that she didn't really fit in, nor talked to anyone in her class, or grade really and after catching the younger student being bullied by some kids in her own grade, she had intervened and took Kasumi under her wing, having some sort of instinct to protect her. Little did she know that this was a cousin that she had no idea about until she had brought Kasumi home a few weeks later to introduce her to her mom. Who by the way, dropped the knife that she had been using to cook at the sight of the small girl. After cleaning up her mess and regaining her composure she sat the girls down and did her best to explain that Kasumi was Kitiara's cousin and her niece, though she was vague about how exactly they were cousins. Kitiara didn't care though and was more than happy to accept Kasumi into the family with open arms.

"You know, I wonder what it would take to break that cute little mind of yours. What? I'm just curious about what makes you tick. What drives you crazy. Is that really sadistic? Actually, don't answer that."

Eventually Kitiara tried out to make it into a hero high school and while she got in, almost two years in she realized that heroism isn't exactly what she wanted. She saw good and bad on a spectrum unlike most people and also acknowledged how corrupt the hero system was. Directly investing in it wouldn't serve her any purpose and would technically be going against her believes, and so she dropped out and attending regular school again she graduated high school and decided that vigilantism was a road that she was willing to take. After that it's been history. Though she most definitely keeps in contact with Kasumi and pops in constantly to see her.

Quirk description// Kitiara has a long tail that resembles that of a peacock, and when flared out to their full extent at the sight of it a person will be capture in a trance-like, hallucinogenic state where one, their mind goes completely blank and they are rendered completely bedazzled by the beauty of her tail and will involuntarily follow her around in awe and adoration, or they see very unpleasant memories and hallucinations of things that they don't like or fear. Another way that Kitiara used her tail is using it as a shield to offensive attacks that may come her way.

Her large tail allows her to easily glide through the air from high altitudes, though she can't fly with it of course, just gracefully gliding towards the ground. And thirdly, when she pulls a feather from her tail it hardens up and she often uses them as throwing knives or as a sword of sort.

Quirk drawbacks// •constantly plucking feathers from her tail of course decreases the number of feathers in her tail, which slightly lowers the effect of her hypnotic ability with her tail •constantly plucking feathers will also draw blood if she plucks too many at once •she can't fly, only glide through the air •her hypnotic ability lasts a max of ten minutes •overuse of her hypnotic ability makes her experience extreme nausea and dizziness to the point of her possibly passing out •the hypnotic ability works on both sexes, but had a stronger hold on men •ability can be disrupted if her tail is covered or destroyed

Kitiara Headcanons!
•Kitiara absolutely loves to embarrass Kasumi. She dote on her, take random pictures of Kasumi and show the off to literally everyone she knows and brags about how her younger cousin is going to be an awesome pro hero someday
•She is surprisingly not a big fan of many birds, especially seagulls. They're annoying whenever she goes to the beach and they try and steal her food from her
•Kitiara is definitely the type to be her friends' #1 cheerleaders and supporter
•She loves the scent of rose petals and rain water
•Her favorite animals are otters and peacocks, of course
•Is extremely good friends with Nejire Hado and Tamaki Amajiki
•She sometimes tends to not be able to sleep at night so when she does she stays up and either bakes, redecorates/rearrange her room or plays darts, it's oddly calming to her
•Ever since she was young in order to help her improve her level of critical thinking and focus, her father would plan monthly games nights where they played a ton of board games, darts and games that made you think a lot
•She is quite the good cook and occasionally makes Kasumi one and drops it off to her the night before she goes to school
•Kitiara is the type to tell her friends to text her when they get home or wherever they are to make sure that they are safe or even to call them and stay on the phone the entire time with them until they get home
•She is the type to hype up her friends and S/O so please be prepared for her shouting and cheering at the top of her lungs
•She has definitely done karaoke with Kasumi before and it is safe to say that she is a terrible singer
•Favorite music genre is rock and indie
