Chapter 1

The City Must Survive

Jack sat there as his ship narrowly escaped death and was latched into the space between realities. He sat still staring into the void, still. He could see much more than the openings that were his eyes. He could see the entire theater room without even turning to see them.

As Izuku sat on the throne in the middle of the room his face tensed as he felt the ship move through the infinite expanse that was the space inbetween the multiverse. He must be careful because if pushed too far their journey may end before the first step. As his friends held his hand as the throne lit with Izuku's power One For All and the massive ship moved as hundreds of lights of countless worlds flashed in front of them.

In a flash the ship stopped. Right in front of another world allowing all to see what was happening.

However despite the strain it had on Izuku, he was fine, but the journey will be hard. Jack had faith they would make it to a new home. He would see to it. This world we have found is similar to their old one. On the precipice but stand on the brink of destruction yet. All Jack can do is hope they may pull them through. This place will be a lesson in hope and humanity as a whole.

" Why did it stop? I thought-" Izuku said, looking around the room like a child looking for his christmas presents, one week from christmas. Jack turned around and gave a scoff and chuckle.

" What? You thought it would be like taking a drive around the block in a car? No, no far from that. No, this journey will be long and with time to rest in between each time we take off. Like trying to walk around the world."

" Oh, come on! How long will we be stuck with these ncp heroes?!" Shigarki yelled out and threw his arms out and collapsed on his seat as soon as heard that. Dabi just laughed at his reaction.

" Probably far longer than you would want." He replied much to his team leader's frustration, and his own surprise when he checked his phone to see he had a connection. As someone tapped the barrier next to the lane he was sitting in. As he turned to see a green hair woman.

" Young man, can you please not curse and scream like that? You're scaring the children." Inko asked while she was holding young Eri, who had been scared by the loud yelling. As she held her ears and head with her hands.

" I will n-" He began to say, as he looked at the little girl seeing someone else for all but a moment. Seeing a scared little girl with pig-tails and black hair, but only for a moment, just a moment before fading away from his sight. Then started to stand up to tell her off, but was cut off. His master raised his voice but for a second, but that was all he needed to scold his student. " SHIGARAKI, ENough... Carry yourself with some dignity."

"... Yes sensei." He asked with a dull tone sitting back down. Content All For One turned to their captain to speak.

" Jack... Or would it be Captain?"

" Either one will do, just not together. Too many captains in the multiverse, especially in dc or marvel." He said, whispering the last part to himself. As the black hair rich kid of the heroes chimed in.

" Oh captain, My captain. Hehe." Momo called out as Iida gave a laugh.

" Oh how clever." He replied gladly for some humor while trying to take the whole situation in. As Jack chuckled, clapped his hands and continued, " Now then let us begin. In between jumps we will rest and try to relax. These jumps will be taxing on your body Izuku. Too many jumps or too far of a jump and it will fry you."

Izuku gave a surprised audible glump thinking about if that happened.

" In between jumps the ship will show the worlds we have stopped in front of as if playing a movie. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, as I have said before, food and drinks will be given out. I understand that not everyone will talk much, a lot of you are still trying to wrap your head around this situation. I understand you need the time to process."

" All I sense is darkness with hints of light." Tokoyami sundered out as he looked into the void and was afraid. Wondering how big dark shadow would become in there.

" It's so dark it needs to brighten in here." Aoyama complained as the screen on the back of the seat in front of him, flashed him in the face.

" You said we would be traveling to other worlds so what is going on with that world?" Ojiro asked, scratching his head with his tail and he held his chin in hand inquisitively.

" Yeah what is going on with this world?" Mina wondered as well.

" Why can't we just live there now?"

Mineta the grape asked, stepping on the tips of toes to get a better look. Seeing a very white, and icy blue marble. As Jack sighed looking down at the world, he recognized it. " Glad you asked because this is a world much like your old one. Or rather was. This one's on the brink of collapse and doom." They couldn't live here, episally with their other universes counterparts still alive here and if they dare try all manner of issues could happen. They all could be wiped out by their universe's version of a cold. The universe has to match completely or shit goes south. Besides, this world is still in its testing phase.

" Doom and gloom how horrible/Awesome!" Twice declared, as Dabi told him to shut up for being too loud. As Shigarki groaned, " Oh goody, we have to watch the hero brat."

As some of those pressing against the barrier found it gave way under them. As they passed through it like walking through light. As they sat near Izuku with Inko, and Eri. Tsuyu looked at the arguing villains and asked herself as she sat in the middle row, "Ribbit, is it alway like this with them?"

" Sometimes... You get used to it," Tsuyu turned to see Toga sitting on the left of Izuku, turning back to talk to her. "At least I get to see Izuku-chun."

As she said this, trying to give Izuku a hug much to Uraraka and her classmates' discomfort. However, well enough a few other villains decided to sit in the middle with toga, twice, compress and a few others.

" Quiet in the theater, the viewing is about to begin." Jack said, shushing them. As the viewing screens lowered covering the widows. As images flashed and viewing screens organized the photoage into an organized video.

" My name is Izuku Midoriya. I am writting this as a last record and testament, explaining what has happened to our world." Izuku says as he is shown waering a thick black fur coat. He was writting every word he was either saying or thinking to himself. Which one no one can tell.

As the theater murmured to themselves at what they were seeing. Wondering why he was making a last record and testament.

" Strange?" Uraraka murmured to herself as Tsuyu popped her head next to her, " How so?" As Izuku answered, " I only talk like that if I'm worried."

Shigaraki chuckled hearing that, " What scared ya, hero brat?" He leaned in to listen to a clue to what unnerved the hero.

" It has been six months since the defeat of All For One. It has been six weeks since All For One has damned our world to death." He wrote as he began to look out the widow as frost began to cover the view. Showing the city beginning to be covered in snow, and frost.

" WHAT. HAVE. YOU. DONE?!!" Yagi said transforming into All Might as he pointed yelling at All For One. Who simply stared ahead watching and spoke in a low tone," Let us find out."

" All For One lost everyone, we took it all from him, and for that he damned us. His final act was to gain the last laugh even in death. With the power of several quirk amplifier devices paired with the last of his life force he used this power in one last action. He altered the earth's rotational path." Izuku said as it showed the earth move slightly away from the sun as All For One's laughter could be heard.

As everyone heard his explanation began to wonder what exactly that would do to the earth. People like Denki and Mineta knew that was bad, but how exactly escaped them. That was until a familiar voice said out loud how bad that was exactly.

" That's very bad." Said UA's top gadget maker, Mei, who had appeared out of nowhere. Which startled the shit out of everyone in the middle row. Since she had said it behind them, as they shot around to see Mei.

" AHHhh, When did you get here? Also how bad is that?" Sato startled and yelled, jumping up from his seat. Mei looked different, but before he could address it Bakugo cut him off.

" Shut up can't be that bad Nerd's overblowing it."

As Mei scoffed, coming to do what she was here for. As she gave the reports and paperwork from the repairforce and mechanicus on board. She was glad to finally see them all awake, and felt like ages since she was awake and visited them while asleep.

Mei was brought out of her thoughts as Jack handed her back the papers. As she looked at herself and her red robes, and metal armor coverings. How much of her was metal and how much was flesh? Thankfully not much was steel, yet. As Jack explained to everyone who had been asking questions. As she was too caught up in her own mind to notice. " Mei has been awake for quite some time, working with the crew and Cawl to maintain the ship. As for how bad it is, see for yourself. "

" This act killed him," As All For One could be seen on top of a throne as he turned to dust. " He said if he could not rule this world, then let this world become cold as his heart and let it consume us. The earth's rotation has been moved and this fall will be the last one to be seen on this earth for many years. The earth will freeze and be consumed in snow and ice. When the people of the world found out governments collapsed in the wake of the end of the world."

" Sensei." Shigarki gasped out, shocked as the screen showed what would come and happen to the earth as frost and ice spread across its surface. A foretelling for the days to come.

" You monster." His Nemesis spat staring at him with disgust

" I was backed into a corner, but to do this..." He replied as he just stared leaning forward with his hands interlocked in front of his mouth.

" Yet despite the end bearing down on us, we stood in defiance of the end of humanity. I stood up to give the people hope despite the threat coming to destroy us, we would weather the storm. My classmates, my friends stood alongside me rallying the people." It showed Izuky rallying the pope with his friends at his side. He got them to work together setting everything needed for the people. The work was just beginning and the worse was nowhere near yet.

" We began to work with the people and governments, myself and the other heroes after the collapse of the hero public safety commission's fall. Mei and the entire support crouse soon found themselves working with some of the best minds from I island to create a device to find a way to weather this coming ice age. " As it showed Izuku working with Dr. Shield once again as Mei amd Melissa was seen coming up with ideas how to create a heated city. Their ideas to make a city that could survive the coming eternal ice age to come.

As the theater watched, proud of their alternative selves. Watching as they worked hard being heroes. While the villains just wondered where they were or what happened to them.

" Look I'm there too." Mei pointed out as she saw the blueprints she and Melissa Shield were working on.

" Even when hope was lost." Izuku muttered, staring in awe, hoping to be as much of a hero as his other self was. " You stood up and did the right thing." Uraraka continued as Iida, Shoto, All Might, Toga, and Dabi.

" Great work Midoriya."

" As to be expected with you."

" You keep proving I chose right after all."

" Izuku-chun is so heroic." She said with a giggle that few found cute or more yandere-like.

"... Kill me."

" Mei came up with a device to heat up entire cities by creating pipes that tunnel into magma tubes deep within the earth around Mount Fuji to heat up cities. They would keep entire cities warm but had to be constructed around the mountain. " As it showed a clearing with a several story tall metal cylinder being lowered onto a large opening into the earth. Deeper within can be seen was bumbling pooling magma slowly rising from the earth from the earth.

" Oh what a nice baby!" Mei squealed. She was excited to see it, hoping to make it one day. As Toga questioned her choice of words," Baby?"

" Her inventions, You get used to it" Izuku said sighing used to this kind of reaction.

" Other countries, despite the collapse, have mostly kept to themselves building their own devices. America actually banded together in the face of this coming ice age. They created great oil braziers of concrete and steel filled with oil to keep them warm." As it showed the great oil northern oil fields as pumps brough the oil to the surface creating massive braziers which would warm the city they were building.

" England has created a similar creation instead using coal and preparing, once the ice comes to take its citizens to where they are building these cities in the north." As it showed great ships taking the pieces of the generators to their building sites.

" Russia has decided to build great cities under the ground and with the frost coming climbed into their holes leaving many of its citizens above ground with nothing. None have heard from them since. " As it showed a massive steel door built into the mountains as soldiers kept the masses back from the bunker. Many were shot as they went into the bunker and closed it's doors forever. As their citizens could only beat and beg for the doors to open.

As the crowd were appalled seeing the very type of tragedy they were trained to stop. Bakugo cursed " Bastards." Angry at the Russians leaving their own people to die in the cold. As they argued on what was right and wrong while Izuku and many others tried to keep the peace. He felt a tug on his shirt seeing Eri tugging on it.

" Deku and a nice lady that looks like Deku, why aren't those people helping each other?" She innocently asked as Inko and Izuku stammerted for an explanation appropriate for a child." Well-"

" Because they are scared" The ancient voice of All For One interrupted, to the surprise of many. As Eri listened, enraptured and somewhat scared, but acting brave still walked closer to the villain barrier to listen to his explanation. Despite the many around the heroes saying not to listen to the villain. They weren't fast enough and she was too enraptured as she walked through the barrier to the throne of All For One.

" Why?"

" Eri Don't-" All Might and the other heroes warned. Only managing to turn her head, as All For One picked her up. As he held her in his arms and spoke. " For they believe if they help the others they won't have enough to survive. Do you understand child?" Heasked looking at Eri with where his eyes used to be leaving only scarred tissue.

" I think so..." Answered unafraid.

" Good." He said as he set her down and patted her on the head as he bid farewell back to the heroes. The daemon lord of their old world talking to a child was so surreal to many they didn't dare speak. Besides checking to make sure they did shit themselves.

" The world is preparing for the end, although it may have already come, but I know with my friends' help we will survive. This marks the end of the log, as I prepare to move with my mother to a newly built city. The new government has elected me to oversee it thanks to my efforts and support of the people." As it showed, Izuku's many friends handed him the key of the city and showed him where they had built his new home.

" Until we leave I plan to spend the last few days of Autumn watching the peach blossoms fall from the trees with my mom and Uraraka. Once I am sworn into office I am going to propose to her, my highschool love Uraraka. If things are going to end I don't want to leave this place with no regrets. Goodbye for now. I intend to enjoy today as the peach blossom falls this autumn for what may be the last fall anyone ever sees. " As it showed Izuku putting down his pen and putting on his warmer clothing. He came downstairs to see Eri, and Inko dressed the same. They all went outside together to meet class 1A at the park.

As the view sifts to show a clear area with a little frost. As it shows a workforce finished building a large steel building. As it shows Mei standing over plans smiling as the machine begins to glow on this very cold day. As magma pulled in the device ready to pump it around the city to heat it. The work was almost complete but much to be done.

As the viewing finished as the world began to freeze over. As the viewers talked among themselves. Some worried whether or not their alternative selves would survive the coming ice age. Some like Mei talked about how their technology looked alot like the art from steampunk, wouldn't this be considered frostpunk then?

While Izuku and Uraraka and their friends laughed, the nerds finally omitted their feelings for one another. While it was an alternative version many of them didn't care and just wanted to cash in their bets. While Izuku and Uraraka both turned red and covered their faces. While their friends celebrated.

" Izuku!"

" Uraraka!"

" Toga!" Said the blonde hugging the two as they were too surprised to notice. Both were blushing trying not to look at one another while the others laughed, happy the two crushes had finally noticed the other's feelings. While the deku and the Bakugo squad paid up bets and the bakusquad gave their congrats

" Finally you two idiots finally see it. Hey electric and grape dumbass pay up." Bakuog yelled at Denki and Mineta as they looked for wallets and money they no longer had.

" I am happy for you both but do not do that so soon you are both too young." Iida said in his usual robotic pose over the two much to their embarrassment. Mina on the hero side heard that and ran over pushing Iida down. " Speak for yourself! I have been waiting ages for them to confess. Now then when's the wedding I want to help. We can get Izuku fitted in a suit and you I think either a classic white dress like the westerners do."

Izuku & Uraraka both of their faces grew crimson as they turned and yelled, "MINA!" As only grinned at their reaction. As Momo chuckled, stepping in. " Mina it's a bit soon for that but I would be happy to pay for it and create the rings for you two." At first caused Mina to frown until she mentioned wanting to make their wedding rings. As she grinned, making plans with her. Much to the horror of Izuku and Uraraka, as they saw Tsuyu step in hoping she would save them.

" As long as I can be one of the bridesmaids."

Only for those hopes to be dazed.

" Oh can I join?!" Toga asked excitedly as Tsuyu, Mina, and Momo went wide-eyed at the question. AS they huddled around and whispered to one another, taking turns to make sure Toga didn't eavesdrop on them.

As they then turned to face her as Momo started with, "... If you promise to not hurt anyone and behave maybe..." AS Mina cut in with," Sure why not? The world is gone and life is kinda too short to hold regrets. Just maybe let's hang out a little before anything like that."

" OMG I would like nothing more than that." Toga said excitedly as she and the other girls began to talk. While her villain comrades silently watched. Inko was glad and cooed, embarrassing Izuku, " Oh, my goodness my baby has so many nice friends and a very nice girlfriend." She said holding Eri in her arms who was in awe at Uraraka with her hero.

" Mom!"

As everyone laughed despite everything that had happened, they could still laugh at something. The villains mostly didn't care except for Toga and Twice sitting there so close and yet so far. As Jack cut in.

" So glad this one was a bit lighter than a lot of the other worlds. However, that is to be expected. Even in the dark, there are light and gray areas and we have just begun our journey. For now the most we will see are lighter or gray areas. Izuku, if you would please, are you ready for the next jump?"

Izuku took a second to look around him at everyone and thinking of all the people counting on him to get them home. and answered with. " As ready as I'll ever be."

Jack just smiled and hit a large red button on his console. As the ship began to move once again and jumped through the veil between reality.

Jack, unlike Izuku, could see into the multiverse better than Izuku could. Izuku for the moment was not knowingly picking the worlds they would go to, at least for now. From what he could see this universe of my hero had intercrossed with another one. The murder drones universe. He couldn't tell how much had leaked and influenced the My Hero world. Single concepts and ideas could change everything.

How much this one changed they would soon see.
