A camping trip, Katsukis perfect idea of an anniversary date. Honestly you were surprised he even remembered your anniversary, he isn't the sentimental type. The look in his eyes as he excitedly woke you up with packed bags was a look you'd remember forever. The glimmer in his burning crimson eyes caused your heart to flutter. The two of you spent majority of the day travelling and hiking to the perfect spot, upon a tall secluded mountain with a beautiful view of the horizon ahead of you.

Your eyes scan the area ahead, you had both spent the rest of the afternoon setting up your tent and a campfire for the evening. Bakugou seated an appropriate distance from the patch of flames as he poked it with a stick causing the fire to rise. His expression was stern as always, but the reflection of the burning red and orange in his eyes told a different story. Katsuki has love to give to the right people, and you feel so privileged to be the person he has chosen to spend his time with. He's the kind of person who doesn't often say I love you, but when he does, you know its real.

He looks back at you for a moment, a soft smile leaves his lips before glaring back into the flames. His voice is gentle as he speaks.

"What are you doing just standing over there? Come sit with me" He muttered.

You make your way over slowly, propping yourself down cross legged next to him. You wrap both your hands around his arm and rest your head upon his shoulder. The heat from the fire causing a burning heat to cross your cheeks, a dry feeling coming over your eyes before clenching them shut and nuzzling your face into his neck. He sighs happily at the scent of your hair brushing against his cheek. A rose wash coating his cheeks as he you relaxed into each other, your company was all he needed. He felt fully at peace when he was with you, you're the only one that can cause eruptions of butterflies throughout his body by simply being there with him.

"I'm so happy, Katsuki" You whispered.

He pulls back slowly, raising your head so that your eyes meet. You smile tenderly at the feeling of your noses touching. Katsuki chuckles before turning his eyes back toward the fire.

"You thought I'd forget, huh?" He smirked.

"Well, you're not exactly the romantic type" You laugh.

"Idiot... You should know by now that I'd do anything for you" He muttered.

Your grip around his arm tightens. This night was everything you've ever wanted and more. How is it possible to feel this way? Is this what true love feels like?

"That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me Katsu" You giggle.

He says nothing, however his arm his suddenly removed from your grip as he wraps it over the back of your shoulder, pulling you closer than before. Your head finds peace against his muscular chest, wrapping one arm around his waist and the other around his back. Holding you tight in his grip, he could stay like that forever. Knowing you were safe in his arms was all he ever wanted. His need to protect you is strong, luckily you're able to handle yourself so he doesn't need to worry too much, however it is Bakugou and he will always be overly  protective especially over those he loves most.

A few silent moments pass, the two of you simply enjoying each others company. Nothing can be heard aside from the rustling of the plants in the breeze and the occasional cackling of the fire. Your eyes flutter hazily, you could feel yourself falling asleep in his arms.

Katsuki smiles down at you, your head still buried in his chest so you were unable to see his vulnerability.

'How'd I get so lucky?' He thinks to himself.

Your eyes slowly blink as you look up at him, he takes a moment to plant a peck on your forehead as he rubs his hands against your skin lovingly.

"Cmon stupid lets go to the tent, we come all this way and you just want to sleep!" He mutters.

"Hm? We can stay out here, I'm fine" you smile sluggishly.

"Tch, whatever. Let's go"

He gets up, holding his hand out for you to reach up and grab. You take your hand in his as he pulls you up. Your body feels heavy as you fall into his muscular frame.

"Carry me Katsu - I'm sleeeeeeepyyy" you whine.

He sighs in defeat. Those. Damn. Beautiful. Eyes. Ugh.

"I can't believe I put up with this shit" he mutters as he lifts you up into his strong embrace, carrying you back toward the tent.

"Hehe, you love me, that's why you stick around" you tease.

His cheeks rosy red, he hates it when you tease him. Mainly because you're almost always correct and it makes him blush.

"Yeah, I do"

You gaze up at him as he walks you into the tent, placing you gently upon the soft inflatable mattress topped with pillows and warm blankets. You were so comfortable that falling asleep was easy. His embrace warm and tight as he cradled you to sleep. Uncontrollable hazy blinks drip from your eyes as you smile into his chest.

He loves me, that's all I need.
