"Surprise!" A bunch of people yelled and the lights were suddenly turned on. I had to squint at the sudden amount of light.

"What's going on?" I asked, and I saw all of my friends dressed up.

"It's your birthday!" Kiri said and walked towards me.

"It is?" I asked. 

"According to your birth records." Mr. Aizawa said.

"Oh, I was never told when my birthday was." I said, and Shinsou walked up to me. 

"Well either way, Happy birthday baby." He told me, and gave me a quick kiss me on the lips. I couldn't help but laugh at how his lips were now painted red.

"I told you no kissing until later." Mina griped and wiped Shinsou's mouth.

"Happy birthday kid." Someone said and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. Hawks hugged me to him, and handed me a card. I opened it and inside was a plastic card and a small poem of Hawks calling me a chicken wing. 

"What is this?" I asked and held the plastic card up.

"It's a gift card to a restaurant." Hawks told me. "Sorry, I couldn't get you something more special. We were chasing down a lead on your-."

"Hawks." Aizawa said interrupted him, I looked at Aizawa and he had a a mean look on his face. Shinsou did too.

"On your . . . . birthday cake." Hawks said, after a second. "Yeah, it was a struggle to get one last second. But we managed." He pulled me over to a table and showed me a flat cake that said happy birthday to me.

"I like food." I said and held Hawks card close to me.

"Me too kid." He laughed at me and went to ruffle my hair but Momo just about tackled him. Shinsou pulled me away from them and wrapped his arms around me.

"Is this why you got me-?" I started asking and Shinsou put his finger over his lips and gave me a wink. I smiled and he pulled me away from everyone as music started and I held my waist and hand. "Wait are we going to dance?" I asked him.

"Yes, we are." He said and picked me up just enough to set me back down on top of his feet. He then started moving us, and he held me close to him. "You look gorgeous."

"You look nice too." I said and looked at his dark gray tux. "You guys didn't have to do this for my birthday."

"Oh course we did." He said, and took me off his feet to spin me in a circle and I started moving with him by myself. "Was it a nice surprise?"

"It was very nice." I said and pulled him closer to me. I could feel his breathing on my neck and smiled and closed my eyes as we danced. And if there was anything going right in my life, it was this.

I took a deep breath, and past the smell of Shinsou I smelled something familiar and bad. 

"Can I have all of you're attention?" A voice rang through the room and I opened my eyes. My head whipping around and there standing in the doorway was Father. 

Shinsou grabbed me, and pulled me behind him. I looked around his arm to see more specifically Father was standing towards the door with his arm around Momo's neck, and a gun to her head.

"If you would be so kind as to give me back my precious pet." He said, and squeezed on Momo's neck. "Or this one dies." I walked out from around Shinsou. He grabbed my arm and tried to pull me back to him, but I didn't budge.

"Don't." He told me, and I looked him in the eye.

"If you don't hand over my pet, I'll take this one and she'll be my new favorite." Father said and I flinched at the thought of him touching her. I forced my arm away from him and walked towards Father.

"Y/n, don't." Momo said, and I could see his grip on her got tighter.

"Momo, do you remember what you told me when we went to the mall?" I asked her. "What to do whenever I was scared." 

She nodded, and when I was only a few feet from them I lunged at them and managed to move the gun away from Momo before he shot it and I grabbed Momo's hand. And as hard as she was holding onto me, I had to let her go. I kicked her away from us and she went flying and Denki caught her. 

'Safe.'

"You brat." Father said and when I turned around, he shot me in the stomach. I fell froward and into him. He started dragging me out of the building, and I was seeing spots. It was a sleeping serum dart.

"You remember what happens to brats don't you sweet heart?" Father asked in my ear and pulled me down the stairs. Everyone came flooding out of the building after us, but stopped and stared behind us. I turned my head and saw behind him was my brothers in their full forms.

"Why are you doing this? She's not yours!" Shinsou demanded, but my Father only laughed at him. He knew about Shinsou's quirk. He pointed his gun at Shinsou and I grabbed onto his arm enough to pull it away from them, and he shot the ground instead. 

He flung his head, and it took me a moment to figure out what he was doing. It was as if everything moved in slow motion, as I watched my brothers follow the command and raced towards everyone. I could feel myself panic, and I managed to punch Father off of me and I shifted into my eagle form and rushed in front of my brothers. I held my wings out, and didn't have any time to stop them as they attacked.

I got pushed up against everyone and I pushed them back inside, as my brother's did everything they could to get me to the ground. But I didn't let them get through me. I held myself there, for what felt like an eternity.

"I think that's enough." I heard, and my brothers stopped attacking me. I turned back into my human body and dropped to the ground against the doors. "My this little outing of yours seems to have made you stronger." He said and I could tell he was examining me. 

My wolf brother started getting closer to the glass doors, sniffing at it. I turned my legs into my snake tail and slammed it down in front of him. He whined and backed up. I swung my tail to the side and all of them backed up, Father getting help from one of my brothers so he didn't get hit.

My legs went back to normal, and I couldn't lift my arms. They were all torn to shreds and I couldn't get up. 

I closed my eyes for a moment, and shook my head. The sleeping serum was really kicking in, and it took everything in me to not fall asleep. 

One of the doors squeaked open slightly and I thrust my wings out and slammed them against the doors, forcing them shut.

"Promise you wont touch them." I said. "None of you."

"Y/n!" I heard behind me and I felt a hand slam on the glass. Shinsou was right behind me.

"And who are you to make these kinds of requests?" Father asked.

"It's my birthday. Let it be my present this year." I begged him, and I felt a tear run down my face. I heard Father hum for a moment.

"Fine, but the moment you-." He started to say and I shook my head.

"I won't." I said. Father nodded and my snake brothers tail slithered up to me and wrapped around my whole body. "Stay." I told everyone behind me and my brother took me away from the door.
