Second Best: Part 3 (Bakugo)

"Why isn't Bakugo fighting back?" I questioned and I watched Bakugo get tossed around like a rag doll.

"Y/n." Denki said behind me, but I didn't turn to him.

"Why isn't he fighting?" I asked again this time yelling, and I could feel myself panicking. "What is he doing?"

"He wants to show you." Kiri said from behind me and I turned to face him. "That he can take a loss." And I felt my stomach sink.

"No." I said, and ditched my crutches before taking off down the stairs as fast as I could.

"Y/n!" Denki called out after me, as he and Kiri followed me. I reached the very bottom of the stands and threw myself against the barrier that kept people in the stands. I threw my good leg up on to the railing and stood up on it.

"Are you crazy?" Kiri yelled at me as both him and Denki threw their arms around my legs to keep me from falling into the arena.

"KATSUKI BAKUGO!" I screamed at the top of my lungs letting my quirk carry my voice across the entire stadium, and it was as if in that moment the whole stadium went silent. I watched as Bakugo whipped his head in the direction of my voice as he laid on the ground, and when I made eye contact with him I screamed as loud as I could again. "Kick! His! Ass!"

It felt like it was minutes that passed by, even though I knew it was only a few moments. Monoma raced towards Bakugo as he laid there. If he didn't move, it would surely be the winning hit, and then all that could be seen was smoke. Silence rang through the whole stadium as we waited for the smoke to clear. But we didn't have to wait for it to clear, as Monoma got thrown from the smoke and out of bounds completely covered in bruises, burn marks, and unconscious.

"The winner is Katsuki Bakugo!" Midnight called out and I leaned back letting the boys catch me. They set me on my feet and I made my way down to the tunnel that led to the arena. As much as it hurt, I couldn't let my leg stop me now.

I ran down the tunnel before Bakugo was even halfway to it. I ran out to him and jumped into his arms, wrapping my good leg around his waist. He held onto me as we spun in circles and I kissed him.

"Don't ever do that again." I told him in between kisses.

"I'm sorry." He told me. "I just wanted to prove to you that, even though I want to, I don't have to win every time."

"You don't have to prove that to me." I said into his neck. "I want you to succeed. I don't care about being number one Hero. But that's your goal and I want you to achieve your goals."

"But I want you to be happy." He said, and I pulled away from his neck.

"I'm already happy." I told him, and he picked me up bridal style and put his face in my neck as he walked us back towards the tunnel where Kiri and Denki had finally showed up with my crutches.

"You know." Bakugo said before we met back up with them. "You on that ledge screaming my name was pretty hot." I laughed, and leaned in towards his ear.

"Maybe you'll have to make me do it again later." I whispered and I could feel as he got excited under me. I felt like I was going to die from laughter while he refused to put me down, once we got to the boys.

"I'm going to get you back for this." He told me, after I was able to bring myself to only giggling. I used my finger to pull his chin up so he looked at me.

"Bring it." I told him, before giving him the most passionate kiss I've ever given.
