"They cut off your wings." 

Hawks told me, and I felt like I was going to pass out. I started laughing, until I started hurting a lot. And I realized the pain was coming from my back. I stopped laughing and grabbed the edge of the bed, and forced myself to sit up.

"Y/n, you need to stay in bed. You lost a lot of blood." Hawks told me, but I ignored him and got out of bed. I forced myself to the bathroom and turned the light on. 

The first thing I saw was how pale I was. The second thing I saw was when I turned around and pulled the hospital gown out of the way and saw that they were gone. There was nothing left of my wings and all that was left was gauze tapped to my back.

"There was too much damage to the base of your wings that they had to be completely removed." Hawks told me, and my legs went weak. "Y/n, please get back in bed." Hawks begged me, and I fell to the ground on my knees. I started crying and I bent over holding onto myself. Hawks kneeled down next to me and grabbed onto my shoulders.

I wanted to pull away from him. I wanted to tell him to not touch me. To stay away from me. 

But this wasn't his fault.

So I didn't pull away from him. Instead I leaned into him and and gripped onto his jacket. He held me as I cried and I couldn't stop crying. He carefully picked me up off the ground and carried me back to my bed. But instead of placing me back on the bed he sat down on it himself with me in his arms. 

I hugged onto him and cried into his neck. He held me, carefully rubbing my back as I sobbed.

"Oh baby carrot." I heard behind me, and from the nickname I could tell it was Miruko. Her arms wrapped around me and Hawks and they both held me until I passed out.
