Grounding: Part 5 (Kirishima)

POV: Nobody

Y/n was yelling she was fine, as Kirishima crouched down in front of her trying to talk to her. But it didn't seem she was listening. She suddenly went limp and fell into Kirishima.

"Y/n?" He said holding her and moving her hair out of her face to see that her eyes were closed. Aizawa walked over to them and crouched next to Kirishima and placed his hand on y/n's neck.

"She's okay." He said. "She just had a panic attack. Why don't you take her back to her dorm?" Aizawa asked Kirishima and he nodded.

"Can I go with?" Mina asked, but she was already grabbing all of their stuff. School was almost over for the day anyway. Aizawa nodded and Kirishima scooped y/n into his arms and carried her back to her room. Mina opened the door so Kirishima could set her on her bed. "Poor thing."

"She's going to be okay." Kirishima said. "I'm going to stay with her."

"Do you want me to stay too?" Mina asked.

"Nah, I've got her." He answered.

"Okay, text me later and tell me how she's feeling." Mina said and left the room. Kirishima grabbed a blanket from the end of the bed and placed it over y/n, before sitting on the floor next to the bed.

POV: Back to you

I opened my eyes, and it felt like my head was pounding, so I took a deep breath. Someone sat next to my bed, and I sat up enough to see that it was Kiri asleep.

There was also the shadowed figure from before standing across the room from me, but it did nothing like always does.

I ignored it and moved over so my face was near him and he had his head back against the edge of my bed and was snoring. I ran my hand through his hair, and he woke up.

"Hey." I whispered to him.

"Hey, how you feeling?" He asked and rubbed his eyes.

"I'm okay." I said and rolled over to the other side of my bed, facing away from him.

"Obviously you're not okay." Kiri said and I felt the bed dip.

"No but I'll be okay." I told him. "It's the weekend anyway, so I'll have a couple of days to recover."

"Do you want some company?" Kiri asked, and I curled into myself a bit.

"Not really." I said. "After I have a panic attack I get really depressed and tired for a couple days after. It's nice cause all my emotions get silenced, and I just feel numb. But I'm not a real blast to hang around at times like this."

"They happen often?" Kiri asked me and he touched my shoulder.

"About two or three times a month." I said. "Could be worse."

"Well I'm not going to leave you alone." Kiri told me and I felt him lay down on the bed behind me, before wrapping an arm around my arms and pulling me closer to him in a tight bear hug. "Not right now."

"Kiri, really you don't have to." I told him, and closed my eyes at how nice it felt to be in his arms.

"Well I want to, so there." He told me. "Wouldn't be very manly to leave a sad girl all alone." I couldn't help but laugh at him. I opened my eyes and laying in front of me was Joy. She smiled at me before 'booping' me on the nose, not saying anything.

I turned my head to look over Kiri, and now standing directly next to the bed, was the shadow. I slowly laid my head back down and closed my eyes. I don't know what it wanted, but I had never seen the shadow this active before.
