Blindness is Key: Part 24 (Bakugo)
"He hit you?" I asked Bakugo. And he didn't say anything.
"To be fair, I swung first." He said.
"He hit you?" I yelled, and he placed his hands on my sides.
"Yes." He told me, and the pain in my chest was gone. It felt like in this moment there was an explosion in my chest, blowing all the pain I had and turned it into anger, fueling me. And then I heard the doorbell ring downstairs. "Y/n."
I shot off the bed and down the hallway. I went to the stairs, and went down them as quickly as I could.
"I'll get the door." I said. I hit the bottom of the stair case and Mr. Aizawa was standing close to the door looking towards me. "And get a pen ready."
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Damn sure." I said and walked passed him and ripped the door open.
"There you are, now lets go." I heard my father say, and I swung my fist at him. I punched him right in the face and it knocked him back a couple of feet.
"Y/n!" Mr. Aizawa called after me, but I didn't let him stop me. I was tired, and I was done.
"Why you little-!" I didn't let my father finish his sentence as I hit him again.
"My whole life!" I yelled. "My whole god damn life! I did nothing to stop you!"
He tried to get off the ground and went to hit me, but I dodged him and punched him in the gut. He rolled onto the ground and I stepped back a bit, before I got to ahead of myself.
"I did nothing, as you beat mom!" I yelled. "And then I did nothing as you beat me!" I kicked him in the face. "But I will not stand by, and let you get away with hitting him!" I pointed back towards the house, where Bakugo was walking out to watch.
He got off the ground, and tried swinging at me again and I stepped out of the way before I stomped my foot and a pillar shot up and socked him right in the jaw.
"I can help people, people like me, people like mom. Because I have the power to do that." I continued. "Not because of my quirk. No, because I believe in myself. That just because I'm blind, doesn't mean I can't live my life to the fullest!"
He started getting up again and and I put my hand on his head and pushed him to the ground again, but it didn't take much.
"So here's how this is going to work." I said, and reached behind my back and grabbed the envelope from my pants. "You're going to sign these papers, and you're never going to contact me again."
"I'm not signing anything." He told me, and I grabbed him by the back of his shirt and threw him on the hood of his car.
"I need a pen." I said, and it took a couple of seconds before Aizawa handed me a pen. "Thank you." I said sweetly and turned back to my father. He fell off the car, and I laid the papers on the hood. "Sign them." I told him.
"I told you, I'm not-." He started to say and I grabbed the back of his head and slammed his face into the car.
"Sign them, or I'm going to start breaking fingers." I told him, and grabbed his left hand and twisted it behind his back. "And then I won't stop until you have to sign with your teeth." He took a couple of moments before he picked the pen up, and signed the papers.
"There." He said, and I took them from him.
"Do they all look right?" I asked and held the papers out to Mr. Aizawa. He took them and looked them over.
"You're all set." He said. "You are officially a student at UA, with a full ride scholarship." And those words put my chest at ease, a bit. I turned my attention back to my father
"You like games right?" I asked my father. "I mean you've played me like a game my whole life, so you must. So lets play a game together, you and me. If you come even within a mile radius of me again without my permission. I will not hesitate to send you so far underground that even I can't see you. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes." My father said, taking no time to screw around.
"Good. Now get in your car, and leave." I told him and let him go. I expected him to try and get the last swing, the last say, the last something. But he said nothing as he climbed into his car and drove away.
I took a deep breath, and calmed myself down. I turned around and started walking down the sidewalk.
"I'm going to go for a walk, I'll be back later." I said, and I watched as Mr. Aizawa stopped Bakugo from coming after me.
And as much, as I wanted Bakugo to come with me. To hold me. Hug me. Kiss me. Just be there for me right now. I'm glad Mr. Aizawa stopped him.
