The walls of the room are blue the roof is white and outside the window the sky is grey. I focus on the doctor in front of me, "What's your name?"

I look at him in the eyes, "My name is Ella Elizabeth Kent." I shut my eyes tight when flashes of my memory run through my mind.

I remember when I was first adopted by the Kent's. My little six year old feet carrying me through the front door. Taking in the view of the farm.

The meteor shower i remember that day in full detail. My mother making cookies in the morning, sitting with Lana in the flower shop. Lana giving me her wand. The Kent's walking into the flower shop. Martha making a wish. My mothers death; her last words to me, "Stay strong baby girl stay strong." I think about The Outsiders when I think about my mothers last words to me.

I feel tears roll down my face, "Are you alright Mrs. Kent?" The doctor asks. I bring my hands up to hold my head.

I remember my father hitting me; whipping me after he drank a bottle. The blood on my lips when he refused to take me to a hospital. All of the tears my pillow healed.

I believed my life would never be the same again. But the day when my dad let the dog out he left our fragile screen door open. All my hopes and dreams had been answered my dad was sleeping off his beer. The door was open i took a shot and ran. I ran until my feet were sore and my legs hurt but I didn't stop until I saw a road with only one car on it. A red truck; A red truck that held Johnathan Kent.

I felt my mind slip into unconsciousness and darkness took over.
