Mew's POV

When I saw Gulf getting kidnapped I felt so useless, I got so angry with myself, thankfully I was strong enough to not faint and I managed to contact the police who rushed to the parking lot where I was resting and concentrating waiting the numbness to fade away, they contacted Gulf's father, I kept apologizing for not being able to protect his son yet he didn't get angry and instead apologized after seeing me hurt from that bastard kicking.

The father told us that he actually installed a tracker in Gulf's bracelet that he always wears since his kidnapping in high school (A/N it's like the bracelet he is wearing in the picture) so we managed to quickly pinpoint his location, the moment I heard the address I jumped into Gulf's car and drove to that place using the GPS on my phone, I was shocked when I saw a pistol being pointed to his head, Gulf was standing unable to do anything.

I completely lost and I don't even know how I jumped kicking that jerk away from him, I pulled Gulf behind me and protected him from the rest of the group, I was a little focused on the one holding a pistol since he could shout us any moment but I should have paid more attention, when that man appeared behind Gulf, I wished I could jump to shield him but I never expected smth like that to happen, I panicked when while watching the suit man falling with the axe stick to his head, luckily the police weren't late, when I looked to Gulf he was completely shocked, I got so worried when he suddenly fainted.

"doctor, how is my son?" his father asked while me, him and his wife was waiting outside while the doctor was checking on him

"only his hands was injured along with some bruises in his abs so physically he is completely fine, I'm more worried about his mental health that can only be checked when he wakes up, being in an accident like that and seeing someone die in front of his eyes can be too much so let's wait until he wakes up" the doctor explained then left, the father looked dead worried as well as his wife who was sobbing

"Gulf is a strong man, he will be fine" I said out loud while watching him sleeping on the bed, Gulf is really strong, he already witnessed people being tortured, we all sat in silence waiting, I'm really stupid, I thought I could protect Gulf but this is so dangerous, he needs an armed bodyguard not me who is just an instructor

"Gulf?" suddenly his father said making me jump and walked next to him, he slowly opened his eyes, looking around, he closed his eyes for a moment taking a deep breath

"son? Are you alright?" I was stunned when I saw him smiling faintly, I slowly helped him sitting up

"I'm fine father, don't worry"

"you don't need to act strong son, you've been through a very bad thing"

"but I'm saved and I'm here with you, I'm alive and that what matters"

"Gulf? Do you remember..." I tried to ask him, he glanced to me and nodded

"yes, I remember everything, I'm sure the doctor said smth about my mental health but I can assure you I'm alright, I'm stronger than what you all think" his mother went close hugging him tightly while his father was patting on his shoulder, the doctor came checking on him again and was astonished by Gulf's reaction, after all, no one should be that fine after seeing a terrible scene like that but I know, only I know the reason

"father, mother, you both should go back and rest"

"but son"

"don't worry, P' Mew is here with me so you should rest, you already look pale and so tired, come visit me tomorrow at my place"

"alright, Mew please call us if anything happens"

"I will sir, please rest well" after they left, I was going to go sit on the sofa to let Gulf rest but he suddenly held my hand, he was trembling so much, I quickly sat next to him holding his hand back

"you shouldn't have held back with your parents too"

"I didn't want to worry then more than this" Gulf looked so pale and frightened

"it must have shocked you seeing smth like that" he slowly slid laying on his back looking up still shivering

"it's true that I almost had a heart attack since that man's death happened in front of my eyes but what terrifies me more is that I know who did it, the thought of knowing that the psychopath was actually close by is what made me even faint"

"you mean the one who throw the axe is that kidnapper?"

"I'm 100% sure it's him and if the police didn't come, that boss would have been killed too in the most brutal way since he aimed the gun to my head, I won't even be surprised if the boss is dead by now, that killer would target anyone who come so close to me" I listened speechless for a while not knowing how to react

"you are so brave and strong Gulf, anyone else would have gone crazy by now" I finally said

"yeah I also think I'm amazing for being able to stay sane until now"

"ah but I think it's better if you get an armed bodyguard Gulf, someone who can protect you using any means, I'm just a martial arts instructor, even though I also know who to use a gun but I can't carry one with me so it's be-"

"no, I don't want anyone to be with me but you P' Mew, I finally managed to trust you and be friends with you, there is no way I'll be able to accept anyone at this point, ah but I would understand if you want to quit since you also may get hurt"

"no that's not! I do want to keep my promise and stay with you but you will be safer under the police protection"

"you know, when I was kidnapped, and was attacked by the suit man, I wasn't scared, I didn't even flinch because I trusted you and believed that you will come rescue me, I don't want anyone else to live with me except for you" Gulf glanced to me with a genuine smile and serious honest eyes, his trembling had faded away, I'm surprised by what he said but also happy to know that he believe in me, that he trust me

"it's so dangerous Gulf and smth like this may happen again, it would be easier if you have someone stronger and who can carry a weapon with him"

"then get one, you can easily get one with the shooting certificate you got from London, also using the bodyguard contract you signed with my father will make it even easier for you, I'm sure my father is also thinking of getting one too at this point, I know I'm being selfish and I should actually let you go back to England but you're the only one I can trust to be by my side P' Mew and also the only one who knows my secret"

"thank you for trusting me, even though I kept promising that I will keep you safe but I already failed twice, I can't even be sure if I can keep my promise anymore but I will do my best to protect you Gulf" he smiled again

"let's go through this together and capture those jerks and that psychopath and throw them all in jail" I smiled back

"we will, btw, are you going to tell the police about his reappearance" he slightly shook his head making me confused

"why? They should know"

"first of all, I don't know anything about him, all information he presented before was fake, even if I tell the police, it will only complicate their job and my father will end up hearing about him so it's better to let the police focus on finding that boss and his group while me and you take care of the killer"

"you may get in danger and end up facing him again"

"I've saw enough that I got used to everything by now and your presence makes me feel stronger too, it's great to have a strong trustworthy friend close by"

"of course, for now go back to sleep and rest well"

"thank you for everything P' Mew"

"sure" he slowly closed his eyes and drifted to sleep, after watching him for a while, I decided to lose no time, like Gulf said the police can focus on catching that boss, I will get that murder who keep scarring Gulf and makes him suffer. The next day, Gulf was questioned for more than 3 hours, he even helped them getting rough pictures of how the boss looked along with some other men he remembered

The police gave a stun gun to Gulf to carry with him and saved his tracking bracelet in their system, he was surprised to know about his bracelet but he thanked his dad for it since it saved his life this time, I also officially got a hold of two guns, it made me feel like a real police man like the ones in the movies.

Soon after Gulf returned to his studies, people was whispering around him, this accident went viral on the news and social medias, at this point, everyone would recognize Gulf anywhere he goes but he paid no attention to anyone and kept behaving as usual, his friends were so concerned about him

"don't worry, I'm fine and I will be fine, you too who should be careful in case that stupid boss may try to get close to you since you are my closest friends, I'm sorry if anything bad may happen to you"

"what are you talking about? Good friends are always together no matter what happen!" Ram said making me smile

"that's right! If you even needed anything make sure to call us" Prem added, they are indeed great friends

"thank you, after all this is over, let's go have fun for 3 days and 3 nights without stopping"

"yes we will!!!"

"and don't forget about our London trip" Ram said

"of course, and I didn't forget about your English too" we all giggled while Ram looked down depressed. Since I started getting closer to Gulf and his friends, I noticed that I was changing myself, I've never been this relaxed with someone so quickly before, even with Luke and Noah, it me two years to get used to them.

I find myself so comfortable with Gulf, maybe because I've been seeing how much he's been suffering or maybe it's his honesty that makes me so laid-back with him, he even said that he trusts me and told me a secret that he didn't even told his own father, not just that, I find myself drawn to him, he is so nice, kind and very caring, he is sincere and very straightforward, he is also strong and smart, I've never met someone like him before

When I realized I also found myself trusting him and completely letting my guard down when we are alone, I can be myself with him, it's really nice to have a close friend like him next to me, for the first time I feel grateful that I came back to Thailand and met Gulf, I can't wait to introduce him to Luke and Noah.

Things got so calm for over two months and summer has gone by without anymore accident, son after Gulf finished his first semester, he has one week break before starting his internship at his father's company, we were watching TV when the door bell suddenly rang, we both got tense looking to each other, I can tell that Gulf was afraid of receiving another package from that psychopath, I slowly went next to the door, looking from the peephole, I quickly opened the door while Gulf stood a little far behind me peaking

"Luke! Noah!" I exclaimed loudly

"hey friend! We missed you so we decided to come visit you!" they both said with wide smiles looking happy while I was both glad and worried letting them, I hope nothing happens while they are here.
