"that's it for today" as soon as the professor said that, every student jumped from their sits leaving in a hurry, it was the last lecture before the weekend and each one already had plans to have fun during the Saturday night.

"so it's the usual bar right?" one asked

"it's the best around here, Gulf you're joining too right?" another one asked

"of course, I need to have fun as much as I could after this stressful week" the handsome boy answered while the three of them was walking out

"great! Whoever gets there first must reserve the best spot"

"see you later" each one got in his car and left, after eating dinner and taking a shower, Gulf quickly put one his casual clothes and went to the bar to find his friends already dancing, he joined them forgetting about anything else, this is the life he wanted, spending his days studying and hanging out with his close friends like any 22 years old student, he was popular between the girls since he is a very handsome, smart tall man and the son of a rich business man, he is also friendly, affable and kind, he is the dream man of any girl.

Many would try to seduce him and even keep confessing to him yet Gulf doesn't want anything serious for the time being, for him love and dating are things from the future when he get steady in his job for now he just want to enjoy a carefree life without being bounded to anything or anyone.

There was only one thing that would make Gulf sad sometimes, it's when he remembers his mother, she passed away when he was in 1st grade of middle school due to some illness that only was discovered when she was in the last stage, he was so close to his mother so he could never accept her death until this day, his father too who loved his wife kept mourning her death for years while he kept raising his son alone.

Except for that, his life is going smoothly, Gulf already made his plans, he will be graduating next year and will get a good job at the same company as his father who is already a high ranked executive, will get his own house an keep having a peaceful life yet fate has already wrote a different story for him.

"son, let me introduce to you, this is Anong" his father said as soon as Gulf returned home from university, he looked in disbelieve to his father and the late-forties beautiful woman

"I know her, she is a very famous actress, even nowadays she's still recognized by teens for her amazing acting, oh, I'm sorry, I'm Gulf, his son" she smiled softly

"I'm so pleased to meet you, I hope we can get along from now on" the young man looked to his father confused

"actually son, I know this is so sudden for you but we actually decided to get married" they looked to each other smiling then back to Gulf who blinked a few times

"what? Married?! But aren't you already married miss Anong?"

"I got a divorce 7 years ago, I was planning on continuing my life alone until I met your father" she said blushing a little looking to her soon-husband

"we talked a couple of times and we found each other attracted to each other and so we decided to spend the rest of our lives together"

"but father you said that you will never get married again"

"I did, I was so happy by just having you but know that you are older I'm starting to feel lonely and I will even more lonely when you get married and create your own family son so I do want to have someone with me to spend the rest of my days with" the father explained with a little sad yet very warm expression, Gulf who understood his father's feeling just smiled and congratulated them

"I wish you both a blissful life for many, many years" Gulf said making the atmosphere so bright around them

"can I ask for a favor?" Anong asked looking to Gulf

"sure, go ahead"

"you see, I've never got the chance to give birth a child because of a health problems, so, is it alright with you to call me mother? I know it's stupid of me to ask this when you are already 22 years old but at least once in my life I want to hear it please" the kind boy smiled feeling sympathy toward her noticing the pained look in her eyes from being deprived of children

"if this will make you happy, I don't mind, mother" as soon as she heard that, tears rushed out sliding down her cheeks while she was hugged by Gulf's father

"thank you son, I'm so proud of you, I'm really blessed with a great son, may you also get blessed with a loving family and a great future Gulf"

"you sacrificed so much for me father, this is the least I can do, oh, let me prepare for your marriage ceremony"

"you don't have too, we were just thinking of just registering our marriage"

"what are you talking about, this joyful event should be shared with close friends and family"

"but we are old for this" Anong

"no one is old for marriage, everyone has the right to enjoy that special day with the one they love" the woman smiled while tears never stopped overflowing, Gulf is really a great young man who only wished happiness for those around him but he never knew that this marriage is the start line for his new life that destroyed every plan he made.

Since Anong is a very well known actress and his father was also a successful executive at a grand company, news traveled so fast around the whole country about their marriage which also made Gulf, the only son, get recognized and became the center of attention everywhere he goes, even the media kept chasing him at the university which made Gulf get so uncomfortable at some point and even started disguising himself until things slowly calmed down a couple months later although he kept being photographed and surrounded by others in the university but Gulf managed to accept those changes in his current life.

One day, when he got back, Gulf was shocked to find a police car in front of his house, he rushed inside to find his father and step mother being questioned while everything was messy and broken around, once the police left, he sat down discussing things with them

"I'm so sorry, it's my fault" Anong apologized with a depressed broken voice

"it's not dear" her husband tried calming her

"can you please explain everything to me?"

"recently, me and Anong have been getting threatening letters but we kept ignoring them thinking it was from some serious fans yet things escalated and I got attacked this morning in the parking lot of the company"

"omg! Did you get hurt?!" Gulf screamed scanning his father

"don't worry, I was quickly saved by the security guard, not just me, Anong also indirectly harassed" he looked to his wife

"someone sneaked into my dressing room and destroyed everything, burned my clothes and the script and even stole my phone" she explained

"we also found out that someone has broken into our house as you can see, thanks to the camera we found out that it was a group of men, about 7 of them but they were wearing masks" his father said

"I'm sure it's my late husband, he was very possessive and when I discovered that he also was a part of a dangerous gang I divorced him and kicked him out of my life, he must got furious when he heard of my remarriage and wanted revenge"

"it also could be the work of some crazy fans but for now it's better to move to a safer and more secured house and be extra careful, you too Gulf, I'm sure they will come after you so make sure to stay on guard and never go out alone" the son looked concerned and apologetic toward his stepmother who really looked sorrowful and scared.

Things got more serious since that incident, even after moving to new house, the same group tried several times breaking into it and threatening messages and letters kept being sent to them, they even started finding dead animals thrown in their backyard, on the other hand, Gulf too noticed that he's been followed and starred at, he found disturbing pictures and handwritten messages in his locker, he was getting afraid

"I've been through this before but this is even more scary and dangerous" Gulf said sitting in the cafeteria with his friends who knew everything

"only a true psychopath who would do all this, this jerk needs to be captured as soon as possible!!!" one of them said

"what is the police doing?! A month passed and they couldn't even catch one of them!" another one said

"they are bunch of clever people who it seem are used to doing those type of things"

"either way, Gulf make sure to be extra careful and never leave our sides in university and go straight home after class"

"this is really so frustrating, until when Gulf has to stay locked and keep living in fear like this?!"

"calm down Prem, it can't be helped, Gulf's safety comes first"

"I know that Ram but can't stay calm, I wish I could catch them myself"

"thank you both of you but you also need to be careful since you are my closest friends, I'm sure everything will be fine"

"we hope so" Gulf tried to stay calm in front of his friends but he was actually scared and on edge himself, he even hid the part of him being stalked and the photos and messages he got so he won't worry his family and friends but his father already noticed the restlessness of his son and decided to provide a real protection for him, on a Saturday evening, Gulf went back looking a bit pale but sad for not being able to enjoy his time with his friend like he used to

"Gulf, come here son" he was called by his father who was in the living room, as soon as he got in, he was surprised to find a man wearing all black standing next to his father, they both locked eyes scanning each other from up to down

"Mew, this is Gulf my son" his father started talking

"son, I know that things got dangerous for you, you even are getting paler so I decided to hire a bodyguard for you, this is Mew Suppasit, from now on he will be with 24/7 and guard you until that group is captured"

"what?! No way father, you and mother who needs to have bodyguards since those bastard already attacked you before, I will be fine, they never approached me and I'm always surrounded by people"

"did you really think I wouldn't discover those photos and letters you keep getting, your friends contacted me and sent them to me" he said handing them to Mew who was looking serious while Gulf averted his eyes thinking that he succeeded in hiding everything

"father, I know you are worried about me but... I'm sure you remember what happened with the last bodyguard"

"I remember everything clearly son and I know how much hard for you to have another bodyguard but Mew is actually the son of a friend from work, he is not a stranger so try to accept him and let him protect you until everything is solved" Gulf who couldn't argue looked away already feeling uncomfortable under the looks of the man in black

"Mew, I'm really sorry for pushing this job to you as soon you came back to Thailand but you are really the only one I can trust now to protect my son"

"it's alright sir, my father already explained everything about those stupid group who has been harassing your family for more than three months now but I also think that you and your wife should get protection"

"my wife has her manager with her all the time who is well trained already and I spend all day locked up in my company so we are both safe, only Gulf who still has to attend university is in danger and they already has been stalking him for some time now so please keep him safe, he is the only real family I have left"

"yes sir, I promise I will protect him and try to catch the criminals"

"thank you, I know I can trust you, Gulf, you need to listen to Mew and stay close to him, don't cause any troubles for him, alright?"

"alright father, if this will make you less worried, I will accept him" Gulf said giving up

"good, now Mew, let me take you to your room, we already arranged everything for you" Gulf watched them going upstairs to the room next to his room while he sat sighing wishing that this problem get solved soon and get back to his normal life.
