Neil came to Avni running. Avni was sobbing and Sweta was comforting her. Neil embraced her in his arms. She hid her face in his chest and sobs. Neil panicked seeing her crying.

Neil - baby, what happened ?

    Neil asked with concern rubbing her back.

Neil - mom, what happened ? Why she is crying ? Did anyone said anything?

   Anyone could sence his anger in his tone.

Sweta - umm... A girl bumped with Avni and accidentally Avni's foot came under her heel.

    Neil picked up Avni in his arms and took her to the nearest chair he saw. He sat Avni on the chair carefully and he kneeled in front of her. Neil lifted Avni's gown a little so he could see feet. He saw a red mark on her right foot and her foot was swollen. He looked at Avni's face. Her eyes were teary and nose was red. She let out a sob. Neil got angry. He can't see tears on her eyes. He can't see her in pain. He can't bear a scratch on Avni. He always want to see her smiling face, her eyes to twinkle with joy not in tears.

   Neil clenched his fist in anger and got up.

Neil - where is that girl ?

Sweta - Neil, I already scolded her and she apologized to Avni.

Neil - her apology can't decrease Avni's pain, mom. See her swollen foot. My baby is in pain. Can't you see that ?

Sweta - I know, Neil but try to understand, it was an accident and we can't do anything in this.

Neil - I can mom. I will make sure that she won't dare to wear heels from today. ( he said gritting his teeth )

Sweta - Neil...

Neil - no, mom...I won't listen anything. 

   Neil wasn't ready listen anything. He just can't let anyone to hurt his baby and leave them easily.

   Sweta sighed and gave up on her stubborn son.

Avni - bubu...( whispered )

    Neil turned to her and he forgot his anger after looking at her beautiful face. His anger filled eyes soften. Her one look can melt his heart.

Neil ran to her and again kneeled in front of her taking her right foot on to his lap.

Neil - is it paining, baby

   Avni nodded. He immediately got up and picked her up in his arms.

Neil - mom, I'm taking her to her room.

Sweta  - ok, you take care of her, I'll handle the guests.

    He nodded and walked out of the party with Avni. Sweta informed the family members about the incident and they handled the guests.

In Avni's room

     Neil placed Avni on bed gently and took off her heels. He took out the ointment from drawer and sat on bed taking her feet on his lap. He caressed her swollen foot carefully. He kissed on feet before applying the ointment.

Neil - now you will feel better ( he was still holding her feet on her lap )

   Avni give him a smile. Neil smiled back.

Avni - bubu, I wanna change my dress. It's very heavy. ( she pouts )

Neil  - ok baby, you change here, I'll wait outside.

  Avni nodded. Neil went out of the room after giving Avni her night dress and waited outside. He never took advantage of his innocent baby. They only kiss and cuddle with each other. It was enough for him.

Avni - bubu ( she called from inside )

  Neil came inside and found her sitting on bed smiling at him. Neil sat on the bed and took her to his lap straddling him. Neil's back was resting against the headrest and his hands were wrapped around her waist.

Avni - thank you, bubu ( she said after kissing on his cheek )

Neil - for what, baby

Avni - for the gift you gave dadda and me

Neil - I can do anything for my baby's happiness.

Avni smiled felt blessed to have him as her life partner. Neil kissed on her forehead. He placed her head on his chest and started running his finger through her hair.

Neil - one more week and you will become my wife ( He said with a smile )

Avni - and you will be my hubby ( she giggles)

Neil - you know, baby, I never thought I would ever get married.

   Avni looked at Neil with a confused expression as it was quite surprising for her.

Avni - why ? Didn't you want to get married ?

Neil - no

Avni - why ?

Neil - getting married and having my own family never cross in my mind. It was a useless thing for me. I didn't believe in love and didn't want to be tied up in any relationship, so marriage was like a nightmare for me. You know I always thought why everyone goes mad in love and do unexpected, unreal type of things. How can love make anyone crazy ?

     He looked down at her and chuckled seeing her expression.

Neil - until I met you. You were the answer of the my questions. You changed my life completely. You become my life.

  Neil held her face in his right palm.

Neil - I was surviving my life but I started living after you came in my life. I feel alive with you. Without you I'm nothing.

   Avni smiled in tears. Happy tears. She can't thanks enough to God for giving her Neil.

   Avni wrapped her hands around his neck before kissing on his lips. Neil didn't take a second to kiss her back. They were showing their love for each other in that kiss. A meaningful kiss.

   Neil embraced her in his arms after the kiss. Avni could hear his heart beat. It was soothing.

Avni - I love you ( she whipped against his chest )

Neil - I love you, my angel, my little flower, my baby, I love you ( kissing on her forehead )

   After a few moments his baby broke the peaceful silence.

Avni - bubu ( she whispered tilted her head )

Neil - yes, baby ( rubbing his thumb near her lower lip )

Avni - stay with me tonight

Neil - I'm staying

    He said after giving a peck on her lips. He also didn't wanted to go and when his baby asked him to stay, it was more like a command for him. Could he ever deny to his baby ? Never.

     Neil came downstairs to inform his family about his staying the night in Meheta mansion. No one questioned, not even Ashish.

     Neil's family went back to the their home. Juhi thought she again got a chance to get closer to Neil and this time she wouldn't let it go waste.

Juhi - mom, Neil is staying here

Diksha -  so what's the plan ?

Juhi - I'll go to his room and give him a good show of my body that he wouldn't be able to resist me. ( she winked )

Diksha - what if anyone caught you ?

Juhi - everyone is tired, mom...no one will wander around in midnight. I'll go to his room after everyone fall asleep.

     Neil change into comfortable clothes and came to kitchen for bringing milk for his baby. He saw Neela was already there  and warming milk.

Neela - Neil, do you need anything ?

Neil - milk for Avni

   Neela smiled.

Neela - I was going to give her

     Neela turned off the gas and poured milk on a glass. She gave the glass to Neil.

Neela - you know it's not a easy task, so all the best

  Neil chuckled as knew his baby very well. She hate milk and only Neela can made her drink milk. She knew Avni's every trick of not to drink milk but she can haldle her.

Neil - I know maa and don't worry, I'll made her drink.

    Neela smiled.

      Avni was in her room and watching TV hugging her teddy. She made faces when she saw Neil entered the room with a milk glass.

Avni - ewe milk..

      She pulled the blanket over her head and pretended like she was sleeping.

Avni - Maggie ( her teddy ) shhh....

  Neil sat beside her and placed the milk glass on bed side table.

Neil - baby get up

  Avni closed her mouth with her palm and tried her best to not make any noise.

Neil - baby, I know you are not sleeping so now get up

    Neil sighed and shook his head when she didn't get up. Indeed it's a hard task, he thought.

Neil - Maggie, tell my baby to get up

   Avni's eyes widen and she bites her lips.

Avni - no Maggie ( she whispered )

Neil chuckled as he could hear her.

Neil - Maggie, now I have left only one option

     Before she could think what Neil will do, Neil removed her blanket and started tickling her. Avni couldn't hold herself and started laughing.

Avni - bubu...s..stop....tickling...bubu.... please

Neil - only in one condition ( still tickling her )

Avni - w..what..condition

Neil - you have to drink milk

Avni - no..please.. no milk....

Neil - then I won't stop ( he continued to tickle her )

Avni - ok...ok...I will drink

     She agreed unwillingly. Neil stopped tickling her and pulled her to his lap.

Avni - bubu, I don't like milk ( she pouts )

Neil - I know baby but it's healthy and it will make you strong

Avni - then why don't you drink milk

Neil - Baby, I drink milk but I add coffee  in it

Avni - then I'll add chocolate in it

Neil - ok I'll give you chocolate if you drink the whole glass of milk

Avni - no mix chocolate in it

Neil - no baby, first milk then chocolate

       After about 15 minutes Avni finally agreed to drink the milk. Neil breathed a sigh of relief. He gave her the milk glass and she started drinking it with making faces.

Avni - finished ( Avni said showing Neil the empty glass )

  Neil wiped out the milk mustache on her face with his thumb and kissed on her forehead.

Neil - my good girl ( Avni smiled  )
