Sorry guys I had to took a leave for my exams. I know I should had inform but it happened very quickly that I couldn't think about anything else. My exams are over now so get ready for back to back updates.

Avneil were standing on the stage with a wide drin on their faces. Their eyes were shining with joy and happiness. After all the wait was finally over. They were going to be each other officially.

    Neil's hand was on Avni's back holding her possessively.

Sweta - pandit ji, please start the rituals

   The pandit nodded and started the rituals.

Pandit - now you can exchange the rings

       Riya and Karina came to the stage with the ring boxes in their hands. Riya stood beside Avni and Karina stood beside Neil.

   Avneil were standing facing each other. They were lost in each other's eyes forgetting that they were surrounded by people.

Karina open the ring box for Neil but he didn't take the ring. He wasn't moving a bit neither Avni was. Karina sighed seeing them zone out. Karina elbowed Neil hardly on his stomach.

Neil - ouch... ( He winced )

  Avneil came back to the reality and Neil glared at Karina.

Karina - come out of your dream land

Tumne jo hai maanga toh
Dil ye haazir ho gaya
Tumko maana manzil aur
Musafir ho gaya

Lo safar shuru ho gaya

Neil took out the ring from the box and looked at Avni. She was smiling.  He held Avni's left hand and forward the ring towards her ring finger.  Their eyes shifted to their hands and finally he slides the ring on her finger. He leaned and placed a kiss near the ring he wore her.

Dil ki bechaini ko aaya
Ab kahin aaraam hai
Tu na ho to sochta dil
Tujhko subaho shaam hai
Iss kadar tu har ik pal mein
Mere shaamil ho gaya...

Then Avni took out the ring from the box and held Neil's right hand.  She looked at Neil who's eyes were already on her. He blinked his eyes smiling. She slides the ring on his finger and the next moment rose petals started falling on them. Neil pulled Avni in his embrace and joined their forehead. His hands were resting on her waist and her on his chest.

Jab se tumne baah thaami

The sound of clapping echoed throughout the hall. Avneil were officially engaged now. Ashish and Neela were a bit emotional. They thought their princess grew up too fast. They felt like few days before they held her for the first time in their arms and now she was all grown up and ready to start her new life. Ashish wiped a tear drop from his eyes before it could fall on his cheek.

He looked at Neela when he felt her hand on his arm. She rubbed his arm and smiled.

Neela - she will always be our princess

Ashish smiled and squeezed her hand.  Ashish understood that but he knew it wouldn't be the same after the marriage. He wouldn't get to see her everyday. Of course she will visit him  but occasionally. He could already feel the pain of separation. But it's the reality of the society. A daughter has to leave her father's home one day.

Avni - Dadda.....

    Avni gleefully ran towards him. She hugged her father. Ashish hugged her back.

Avni - Dadda I'm so so so soooo happy

  Ashish forgot all his pain just seeing his daughter's smile. At the end her happiness matter the most for him. He kissed on her forehead.

Ashish looked at her behind and found Neil was standing there. Neil cleared his throat and said -

Neil - I have a gift for you

Ashish - for me ? ( He questioned as never expected that )

Neil - yes

Ashish - can't believe

Neil - neither me but I have a very big heart you know

  Ashish rolled his eyes

Ashish - so would you give me the gift or....

Neil - have some patience, sasur ji, you are going to receive the first and probably the best gift from your son in law

Ashish - I think I am the one who should decide how the gift is

Avni - bubu, you didn't tell me either about the gift ( she pouts )

   Neil held her by her waist and pulled her closer to him.

Neil - baby, it's a gift for you as well

Avni - really ? ( Neil nodded ) then give it fast, babu. I so excited.

     Neil smiled and kissed on her hairs. He looked at Ashish, who was also very curious to know.

Neil - so the gift is you have to tolerate me every month for one week

   Ashish, Neela and Avni looked at Neil questionably.

Neela - what do you mean, Neil ?

Ashish - I too didn't get it

  Avni was also looking at Neil confusedly.

Neil - I mean after our marriage, Avni and I will spend a week with you every month

Avni - sachchi bubu

Neil - yes baby

Avni - thank you, bubu. You are the best. I love you ( she hugged him tightly )

Neil - I love you too, baby ( kissed on her forehead )

  Ashish and Neela didn't react as they couldn't believe what he said.

Ashish - you...you are joking, right ?

Neil - I am very much serious, sasur ji. You wanted a ' ghar jamai ' for Avni but I can't fulfill that so I thought we can at least spend a week with you every month.

Ashish - you family ?

Neil - they don't have any problem with it

Ashish - truly it's the best gift you can give me

   Ashish hugged him and murmured a ' thank you ' in his ear before pulling back. He couldn't thanks enough to God for giving a son in law like Neil.

Neela - thank you, Neil. You don't know how much it meant to us.

Neil - I know, that's why I took this decision, Neela maa.

Neela smiled and blessed him.

Juhi was standing far from Avneil and was burning in jealousy and anger. She was watching Avneil's every move. Whenever she sees Neil's love, pampering and care for Avni her anger rises more. She wanted to be in Avni's place.

Since childhood she was always jealous of Avni. Her father was not a rich man but he always try to fulfill his daughter's demands but it wasn't enough for her. She hated Avni for her luxurious life. And it was not all her fault, her mother was equally  responsible for it.

Diksha - are you going to only stare them and will you do something

Juhi placed the glass on a table which was she holding and started walking towards Avni. Avneil were talking with Avni's friends. Avni was introducing Neil to them. Neil was holding Avni's hand. He wanted to spend some time alone with Avni but the guests and family were not in his side.

     Juhi stood in front of Avneil.

Juhi - wouldn't you introduce me, Avni ?

   Everyone's attention shifted to her. Avni smiled at her.

Avni - bubu, she is Juhi di. Diksha bua's daughter. And Juhi di this is Neil my fiance.

Neil - hello

Juhi - don't you remember me, Neil

Neil - umm.. sorry but have we ever met before ?

Juhi - yes, Today in the flower shop. You saved me from falling, remember ?

Neil - sorry I don't remember anything

Juhi - it's ok ( giving a fake smile )

Avni - bubu, your memory is getting weak

Neil - Baby, today I was very excited for our engagement and only thinking about you so I really don't remember whom I met today.

   Avni smiled. Juhi rolled her eyes.

  Avni's friends left from there.

Sweta - Avni, come here

   Sweta called her to meet her with some guests. Neil frowned when Avni left. He forcefully slimed at Juhi.

Juhi - why are you marring Avni ?

Neil - excuse me ?

Juhi - I mean why you want to marry Avni ? Just asking as a concerned elder sister.

Neil - I love her and I think it's enough

   Neil didn't like the way she questioned him. He didn't sense a bit of concern in her tone and behavior. If she wasn't related to Avni he could have give her a warning to stay in her limits and mind her own business.

Neil didn't want to spoil his mood so he excused himself and turned to leave.  Before he could take his first stpe Juhi placed her hand on his shoulder.

Juhi - Neil...

  Neil clenched his fists in anger but turned unwillingly. The moment he turned she acted like her feet got twisted and held his hand for support.  Neil rolled his eyes in annoyance but for the sake of humanity he have to help her.

   He forwarded his hand to held her hand but stopped when he heard Avni's scream. Without thinking for a moment he dropped Juhi on floor and ran to Avni.

Juhi - what the....

  She was laying on floor feeling embarrassed and humiliated. Many people saw her but didn't laugh openly. She stood up by herself and left from there.

Juhi in mind - you shouldn't have done that Neil. But if Avni had not screamed, Neil didn't left me. He wanted to help me, I saw that, but that jealous bitch couldn't see our closeness and screamed to get Neil's attention. Because of her I was humiliated. Argg.... enough. She should get a good lesson for that and she will get it. ( Smirked )
