Bismillahi Rrahmaan Rraheem

There're those moments when Allah grants you a moment of reflection and as your heart is touched you start regretting all the sins you have committed and more so you deeply fear the status you might be in; comes the Day of Judgement and - Allah forbids - you aren't among the forgiven.

At a moment as such, you find no dhikr as precious as My Lord Forgive Me.

And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day.

قال عمر بن الخطاب رضى الله عنه : ويل لمن كانت الدنيا همه ، والخطايا عمله ، كيفما يقدم غدًا، بقدر ما تحرثون تحصدون.

Umar Ibn Khattab may Allah be pleased with him said, "Woe to he whose purpose / aim is this World and sins his deeds, how will he come forth tomorrow? (For) you shall reap in accordance to what you sow.

إنما يعسر ترْكُ المعصية إذا كان تركها بغير الله أو لغير الله تبارك وتعالى، ولا يخذل الكريم الجميل من استعان به.

Indeed abstaining from disobedience becomes heavy if the abstaining is done without seeking Allah's aid or for other than Allah تبارك و تعالى, The Generous and The Beautiful (Allah) does not humiliate whoever seeks aid from him.

“Forgive me O my Lord.

I stand before you in utter shame,

My only strength being your Magnificent Names,

O You who called your self the Oft- Forgiving,

Forgive this soul that keeps on sinning,

O my Lord I stand before you acknowledging my weakness,

My chest is constricted, and my heart is in distress,

I am hurt to see I lack in steadfastness,

I wish to be of those who seek your countenance,

Please do forgive me, pardon my sins that are immense,

Relieve me of this pain for it is deep and intense,

O You who named Yourself the Most Merciful,

O the Most Gracious and the Most Beautiful,

O Allah the Lord of All Mankind,

The Subtle, The Loving, The Affectionate, The Kind,

Have Mercy on this soul who’s faith is full of holes,

Have Mercy on this soul that rises less than it falls,

If it wasn’t for your kindness I would have despaired,

But it gives me hope knowing that you have always cared,

You always provide, despite my ungratefulness,

You always ease my affairs, despite my lack of patience,

O Allah my hands I have raised above,

My heart is yearning for Your Majesty’s love,

Grant me faith and grant me light,

So I always stand on your path that is straight

Help me follow our prophet’s sunnah,

For that is the only I way I shall reach your Jannah.
