11. Kasamatsu Yukio - Teasing
A/N: AND I'M ALIIIVE~ WOOOOSH *flies around you*
And I'm sleepy. Posting this at 4 am in the morning. 'Scuze the typos and the grammar.
Tsundere bby Kasamatsu might be quite OOC. Honestly, I see him similarly to a certain angry German from a famous anime.
*cough* titans *cough*

[WARNING: This includes spoilers for Kimi ni Todoke's live action movie.]
As much as you liked him, you also loved teasing the tsundere captain of Kaijou's basketball team.
"Admit it, Yukio! You like romance shoujo anime!" you teased him with that signature mischievous smirk of yours, finding his suddenly flushed and angered face of his entirely adorable. You leaned in until there was only almost two inches between your faces. His face turned red as he backed away from as far as the couch the two of you were sitting on could allow. Not only was he easily provoked, but he also had some sort of fear of the opposite sex, and you, his closest female friend, were no exception.
"T-The heck?! What made you think that?!" He grabbed the remote and changed the channel of their television. Earlier, it was on the live action adaptation of Kimi ni Todoke, a famous romance anime/manga under the shoujo genre.
"'Think'? I'm just stating the truth!" Your Cheshire Cat grin grew wider. You plopped yourself down on the couch and grabbed the throw pillow he was holding on earlier. You imitated how he acted, gripping tightly on the pillow with fake frustration. "You were all like... 'Dammit, you two! Just confess to each other already!' ...and like... 'Just man up and kiss her, Kazehaya!'" you delivered each line a little over-acting-ly, but they were still almost accurate to how he said them when you were spying on him before you scared the heck out of him earlier. His face was now as red as a cherry tomato's, and you burst into laughter. "Priceless!" you spluttered out the word in between laughs.
"I-Idiot! I-It's just stupid how they prolong the confessions when they're obviously going to end up together, a-anyway!" He defended himself, looking away with a frown on his face.
You rolled your eyes and threw the pillow to his face. He glared at you, and you only raised your eyebrow with a taunting smirk. "You're saying that despite being unable to confess to the girl you like. Be realistic, Yukio," you told him in a half-serious half-joking tone. You knew he liked someone, and there was this high possibility that it's not you. It's fun teasing him a lot, but teasing him about that girl wasn't. There was this piercing sensation in your chest when you do. Because of that, you wanted this tsundere dude to confess to that girl just so that you'd stop unconsciously getting your hopes up and get through the heartbroken phase already. The earlier, the easier.
That silenced him. Your words definitely hit the bull's eye, and you felt like cursing because of that. However, you're not really sorry for voicing out your thoughts.
After a few agonizing moments of awkward silence, you decided to change the topic. "Argh! Stop flipping through the channels already! Let's just finish Kimi ni Todoke!" You slammed your palms on the soft couch. He didn't respond and kept changing the channels.
You looked at him. He was just staring blankly at the area below the television, his thumb pressing the remote's button as if it was programmed to do so. The usual furrow between his brows wasn't there. He was in a complete daze, trapped in his own thoughts.
"Yukio," you tried to call his attention but it was no use. Another smirk made its way to your lips. "Yuyu-chan~" you sang in a teasing matter. "Yuyu-chan~ Yuyu-chan~ Yuyu-chan~!"
He snapped out of his trance then turned to you with an eyebrow raised. "What the heck did you just call me?"
"Yuyu-chan~?" you repeated innocently, wiggling your eyebrows. "You only responded to 'Yuyu-chan', so I'll always call you that way! And it's cuter~" You cooed, poking his one of his cheeks. He evaded the third poke, but his cheeks were somewhat red. And you knew poking his cheek didn't cause it. It was hard not to pinch him for his utter cuteness.
"That the lamest name ever." He rolled his eyes then glared at you.
"But the cutest!" you added.
"It's not!"
"It is!"
"It's not!"
"It is~!"
"It's--" he stopped, then scratches his head with both of his hands in frustration, "It's no use arguing with you!"
"I win!" You pumped your fists to the air, grinning at him victoriously. "Now let's just finish Kimi ni Todoke, Yuyu-chan~!" you requested playfully, now poking the side of his belly. He shot you a sharp glare before changing the channel back to the one that showed the said movie. You inched closer beside him, your eyes completely glued to the television screen. He didn't seem to mind, and you had to suppress a really wide smile. Those lively moments with him are always fun, but you also like calm moments like this.
Soon enough, you were so engrossed in the story that you didn't notice that you were torturing the male beside you whenever a fluffy moment occurred, much to his annoyance. First, you hit his shoulder multiple times when Kazehaya, the male protagonist, walked Sawako, the female protagonist, home. Then, when he confessed, you were pinching his well-toned arm. As you were nearing the ending, you tightly gripped on the same arm and unconsciously burying your nails in it once in a while.
Finally, the two of you were down to the final moments of the film. It was the part when they met under the firework-filled night sky. It started snowing as they stood under the cherry blossom tree that started it all, adding up to the delightful fuzzy feeling in your chest. You knew how people say that romance stories are unrealistic, but you still wanted to experience it something similar to it.
You stared at the television screen as you gripped tightly on Yukio's arm, squeezing it occasionally.
"I... about you... I like you!" Sawako confessed, looking down to hide her blushing face.
"...My feelings finally reached you..." replied Kazehaya, a wide smile spreading on his face.
You let out a high-pitched fangirl squeal, most probably killing his eardrums. You shook him violently by pulling his arm back and fourth. You couldn't simply control yourself; you needed and outlet for all those fangirl feelings, and, unfortunately for Yukio, the victim's him.
"Sto-o-o-p sha-a-king me!" He scolded you angrily, trying to pull his arm from you. He succeeded then pushed you away from him.
"But it's just-- I CAN'T EVEN-- AAAAAHHHH!" you squealed again, now flailing your arms then covering your mouth. "KAZEHAYA'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!" You took heavy breaths to calm yourself down, but it wasn't working. The feels were simply too much for your heart to handle.
"What the heck?!" He stared at you as if you were a crazy person having an attack. "What's so good about him anyway? He's just a fictional character!"
You glared and pouted at him moving closer to show the intensity of your disagreement. He did not call Kazehaya just a fictional character. "Well, he's much better than someone I know who couldn't even confess to the girl he likes. He's got more guts," you replied bitterly.
"Tch." Yukio looked away then looked at you after a moment. "Fine! You keep pushing me to confess, then I'll do it! Just to shut you up about it!" he burst out and you stopped throwing your little tantrum. You looked at him wide-eyed with your mouth agape. You didn't expect that.
"Really~? You'll do that?" you asked with a tried hard playful grin and disbelieving voice, masking your unease. You did want him to do it, but a part of you wasn't ready for it. Nevertheless, there was no turning back.
As if the idea just dawned on him, his face grew to the color of strawberries. He looked away and muttered, "Yeah..."
"Finallyyy!!!" You were surprised how the words simply flowed out of your lips, despite trying hard to make sure he wouldn't notice a pint of worry in your face. "So you're going to 'just man up and kiss her, Kasamatsu'?" you repeated his earlier words, a taunting smirk gracing your lips.
"Do you want me to?" he asked, his voice serious. You looked at him in incredulity and shrugged.
"Maybe I do~"
He took a deep breath then faced you, his eyes filled with fiery determination. "Fine."
"Mmmf!" Before you could even react, he suddenly and forcibly pulled the top part of your shirt to his body, his lips immediately crashing to yours. You were only frozen with shock the whole time due to his unexpected action, and the second you responded, he pulled away and tried to hide his crimson cheeks with one hand and placed his other hand on his chest with his racing heart in it.
"Yukio--"
He stood up, his face away from your direction but you could see the redness on his ears. "I-I-I'll just m-make some t-t-tea!" And he stormed off, leaving you completely dumbfounded. You watched him make his way towards the kitchen until he disappeared. After a few seconds, you heard metals clattering and kitchen utensils hitting the ground.
You broke into a wide grin, then chased after him into the kitchen.
"OI, YUKIO! YOU DON'T JUST KISS A GIRL THEN SAY THAT YOU'D MAKE SOME TEA!"
Man, were you ever so glad you picked up teasing Kasamatsu Yukio as a hobby.
