Hi so I finished editing chapter thirty-four of Pretty Boy (God fucking bless) and the word count dropped to 4,726 words and the chapter became a little over nine pages

"Why?" You may be asking

BECAUSE I HAD TO DELETE AN ENTIRE FUCKING SCENE SINCE IT WOULDN'T HAVE MADE ANY FUCKING SENSE BECAUSE OF EARLIER SCENES IN THE BOOK AND HAD TO EDIT KINDA A LOT TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE THE SCENE NEVER EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE

God, I was so fucking pissed when I realized this

Good thing I used command+f (Not control+f because I have a MacBook Air lmao) on the document that literally has every single chapter of Pretty Boy on it to check to see if the scene was actually inconsistent

Of fucking course it was because I fucking suck

Thank God I checked it though because if I didn't, I knew someone would've noticed and asked questions

I'm gonna tell y'all what the fuck up was since it's spoiler free

The fuck up was I wrote out a little scene where the reader and Mark tell each other their middle names

The problem with this scene (Which, again, I did not realize until I was actually going through and editing the chapter) is that the reader has used Mark's full name several times in earlier chapters

Because of this, there was no way that this scene would've happened

Now, you may be saying, "Well, you could've changed it to where Mark just finds out the reader's middle name because he doesn't know what it is."

Trust me when I say that this wouldn't have worked because I couldn't really do that without having it be awkwardly written in due to earlier scenes and by that, I mean that I didn't really want to change an entire maybe quarter of the entire chapter because this damn thing took long enough to write as it is

So yeah that's my little story of how I literally almost left an inconsistency in a chapter

ALWAYS edit your chapters kiddos

This shit can happen to you too

So yeah with the editing FINALLY out of the way, look forward to reading chapter thirty-four of Pretty Boy tomorrow because, like I said in the last part, that's when I'll be posting it
