Chapter Ten

HYUNJIN | FELIX

I made sure to keep my word and leave the nerds alone, but part of me was restless. Time was running and no progress on my plan was made, but Minho reassured me that it would all work out and to take small steps.

After all five of us regrouped from our fourth class in the hallway, we made our way to the lunch room. A few feet away from the entrance, we could hear nothing but yelling and laughter being exchanged throughout the room. However, as soon as we entered, the loudness that once was present dwindled into hushed whispers and nervous glances. The feeling of our presence capturing the attention of everyone around us made me feel powerful, but the one person I wanted to gain eyes from was Felix.

Turn to me and look dammit...

San smirked. "Look, it seems as though Wooyoung's table took notice of us."

As if on cue, Felix turned his head and we locked eyes for a moment. Planning to play nice, I flashed him a small smile before leading the group into the meal line., not failing to notice a faint blush spread across his cheeks.

The plan is set in motion...

"This may be easier than I thought." I said smirking, grabbing my food choices and placing them on my tray.

Seonghwa raised an eyebrow. "Why do you say that?"

"I just caught him blushing."

"Wow, Hyunjin. Maybe you really are delusional." Minho laughed, grabbing his food. "Already seeing things, huh?"

I scoffed, walking out of the line first. "Fine, don't believe me. I bet I can get him to like me by after the party."

"Did I just hear the lovely word 'bet'? Oh, I am so in on this!" San smirked. "What's the stakes?"

"If I win, you have to...wash my car every Saturday for the entire school year." I said proudly, putting out my hand for a handshake.

San tapped his chin and shrugged, putting his own hand out to return the shake. "If you lose, you have to be my personal chauffeur for the year for anything I want to do. Deal?"

Grabbing and shaking it, I nodded with a confident smirk.

"Deal."

We walked out of the lunch room to our usual spot outside to eat, my mind still stuck on the reaction I noticed from the blonde boy who's my current target.

It was time for my favorite class of the day again: Dance class. As usual, I was inside early and already started to stretch my body while students began to fill inside the studio slowly. However, the laughter of two people peaked my ears and attention.

Yeosang and Felix walked inside deep in conversation, one that made Felix laugh in a high-pitched loud sound His eyes squinted and his smile was bright, something that was a first for me to witness. If someone was to represent a ball of sunshine, it was definitely him.

Cute...

Shaking off the warm feeling building within me, I refocused my attention on my stretches. Instructor Lia walked in as soon as the final bell rang, noticing the appearance of Felix stretching next to Yeosang.

"Is that my new dancer I see?" She clasped her hands happily. "Please, come to the front and introduce yourself darling!"

Felix nodded with a soft smile before walking to the front of the group. Clearing his throat, he spoke up. This time, I noticed his voice was way deeper than yesterday.

"My name is Felix, and I'm a transfer from Australia. It's nice to meet you all." He bowed to the group.

Holy shit...

A round of applause broke out, with small surprised murmurs traveled throughout the room. Instructor Lia gasped. "Felix, is that your normal voice?"

He nodded shyly. "Yes. I can go lower if needed..."

"That's shocking! With your adorable face, who would've guessed that voice would come out! Alright...since you weren't able to make it yesterday, could you do a small audition for us? It only has to be two to three minutes."

"Sure! Can I choose the song?"

Instructor Lia nodded excitedly. "Of course, come on over to the speaker and plug in your phone. Ryujin can control the song for you, if you'd like."

Felix nodded and walked past me without sparing a glance, making his way to the speaker and following Instructor Lia's directions. It only took a few moments before he cued up his choice of song, silently asking Ryujin to press the start button and striding his way back to the front of the room.

"Whenever you're ready, dear."

Looking at Ryujin with a nod, she pressed play on his phone and the song slowly began. A few seconds played into the chorus and my eyes grew wide, realizing the song choice instantly.

He isn't going to do that song... there's no way...

(A/N: The song is the one above the chapter: "The Eve" by EXO. Start the song at 0:40 seconds and end at 1:13 seconds)

Felix's entire demeanor changed into confidence as he fully embraced the song. He started performing the song's exact routine without any hesitations. From the two slow hip grinds , the three layered hand movements, and deliberate rotations, to the right rhythm and sensual expressions, the entire room was stunned as they watched intensely. I could feel a bulge begin to grow in my pants, but I readjusted myself to hide it.

Fuck...he's...fuck...

As soon as the chorus ended, Ryujin knew exactly when to stop the song. Silence filled the room temporarily, before erupting into loud cheers and whistling all around. I watched as Felix confidence turned back into shyness after observing the standing ovation he received, and a small smile grew on my face.

Instructor Lia clapped her hands with joy as she approached him with a bright smile. "My dear, you are amazing! You have to join dance club, we would love to have you!"

Felix looked at me momentarily, and my breath hitched. With a subtle nod, he looked back at Instructor Lia with a shy smile. "I'll think about it..."

"Please do! Hyunjin is the captain, so be sure to talk to him or a girl named Yeji if you want to join!" She smiled. "My word... I am stunned..." She whispered to herself, still in awe.

"Okay my loves, class will officially being in ten minutes. Continue stretching and preparing yourself, as I'll be teaching a new routine today!"

Felix bowed awkwardly before quickly making his way back to Yeosang, who pulled him into a tight hug and filled him with nothing but what I could assume to be pure compliments in his ear. I watched as he soon became bombarded with questions from other students nearby who surrounded him. Meanwhile, all I could think about was his audition and the intense feeling while watching him.

Pretending to like him is going to be much harder than I thought...
