Chapter Four

HYUNJIN | FELIX

Now, I was in Art class, sitting on a wooden stool next to Seonghwa and trying not to rip my canvas to shreds. My mind was still in shock over the encounter with the new kid, and how despite my plan to make him cry, he seemed to be confident enough to stand up to me. Hence why my canvas was completely blank.

I tsked to myself, throwing my paintbrush on the easel irritably. Seonghwa looked over and saw my canvas, slightly smirking. "Penny for your thoughts?"

"That new kid pissed me off..." I muttered.

"Oh, right. I heard from a few girls on the way here. Why exactly did you do that?"

I raised an eyebrow. "No new kid deserves that much attention, Hwa. He even called me by my nickname!" I whisper-yelled.

He just hummed. "Well, that's not surprising since he's Chan's cousin."

"Wait, what?"

"Hyunjin, do you ever read your texts? San literally mentioned it after sharing a class with both him and Wooyoung." Seonghwa sighed, rolling his eyes before refocusing on his work. "Chan probably told him everything about us, including your beloved nickname he used to call you."

"Well, he has a new enemy and that's me. I can't stand him." I huffed, picking up the paintbrush again. "I'll show him who he's messing with..."

"Whatever you say, Hyunjin."

I started trying to paint again, and this time I could actually make progress. For some reason, all I could envision was Felix and how he looked up close. From his blonde hair that looked soft to the touch, the silver rimmed glasses and earring, to his eyes and even his freckles that adorned his nose and cheeks. There was no denying that he was very beautiful for a guy, almost like a prince indeed.

Why does he make my heart flutter...

Shaking my head, I grunted and continued on with class.

Before lunch, all of us met up and walked together while discussing everything we had learned about Felix.

"So, I've already shared the news of him being Chan-hyung's cousin." San started us off.

Minho added. "He also loves to dance and apparently, he's all alone here in the states."

"Wait, really? How'd you find that out?" Seonghwa asked curiously.

"I have my ways..." He slightly hid his blush, but I caught it, knowing exactly who he was referring to.

I rolled my eyes. "Moving on...anything else?"

Jongho shook his head. "We shared Physics together with Hongjoong, but the two were stuck like glue with Yeji."

"Please don't bring her up. I'm already annoyed that we're even family and now dance captains together." I sighed, rubbing my temples.

Walking into the lunch room, my eyes searched for the blonde head throughout the mass amount of tables filled with students. However, it wasn't hard to spot as the infamous hyena-sounding laugh from Wooyoung made it extremely easy.

I smirked. "Found him."

"Leave it to Wooyoung to always be so loud..." Seonghwa muttered, instantly receiving a light smack on the arm from San.

"Watch it." San scowled, looking over to me before speaking. "I don't care about what you plan to do, Hyunjin, but I'm not in it. I am trying to stay in semi-good graces with Woo, and that includes not messing with his friend."

Jongho snorted. "Wow, who would've thought you could actually care about someone?"

"Don't act like you don't have a crush on his other friend, may I dare say Yeosang?" San smirked.

The two began bickering as usual, leaving only Minho and Seonghwa to follow behind me as we walked over to their table. They trailed behind us, still bickering to each other without any sign of letting up.

Upon arrival, the first to notice us was Hongjoong, who stared directly at Seonghwa who returned the gaze. Purposefully, I made my way to stand directly behind Felix. All eyes in the lunch room with stuck on us, preparing to witness another encounter between the two of us.

"Guys..." Hongjoong mumbled softly to the seated group, causing all but my intended target to turn their heads to us.

All I heard was Felix sigh heavily, keeping his eyes on his food. "What do you want now, Hyunjin?"

"Can you all leave us alone? At this rate, I might actually consider you guys to be gay." Wooyoung sneered.

San smirked, subtly taking his seat next to Wooyoung. "Only gay for you, my love."

"Ew." Both Felix and I said simultaneously, looking up and away each other quickly in annoyance.

Yeosang rolled his eyes. "Like Wooyoung said, can you leave us alone?"

"Actually, no. I'd like us to sit here." I smirked, forcefully taking my seat next to Felix. "Can't we try and get along?" I teased.

"W-Why?" Hongjoong asked in a hushed whisper, his cheeks beet red from Seonghwa taking a seat next to him with a smile.

"Yeah, I'm with blueberry head over here. Why?" Jongho asked, who was now standing behind Yeosang with a raised eyebrow.

Minho rolled his eyes dramatically, brushing back Han's hair behind his ear. "Just sit down, Jongho."

I took a look at Felix's lunch tray, a tray filled with only mixed fruits and a single bread roll. Curiously, I looked at him with confusion. "This is all you plan on eating? No wonder you're so skinny."

"Why do you care..." Felix mumbled. He then pushed the tray roughly away from him and stood up. "Excuse me..."

Next thing I knew, he was running out of the lunch room with Wooyoung calling out and running after him. "Lixie, wait!"

What the hell...?

Han sighed, brushing Minho's hand away from him roughly. "I'm asking this nicely because I don't want any problems with you all, but can you seriously leave us alone? We won't get in your way, we promise..."

"Speak for yourself." Yeosang scowled directly at me. "All you guys do is bully people and hurt people for no fucking reason. If anything, I just think you should get a reality check and grow the fuck up..."

Jongho's eyes grew wide. "That's the first time I've ever heard you speak so many words..."

"Yeosang can be pretty blunt..." Hongjoong said shyly, biting his lip to ignore Seonghwa's gaze. "But I agree. We don't do anything to you, and yet, all you do is hurt us. Why can't you guys leave us alone..."

Minho and San looked at me with concerned eyes, causing me to actually feel a little guilty for forcing ourselves on them. Rolling my eyes, I shrugged and stood up. "Fine, we'll leave you be for lunch. Be sure to keep your promise, or else."

The five of us stood up and left their table, exiting the lunch room with conflicted thoughts.

"Why do I actually feel bad now...?" Jongho murmured.

Seonghwa sighed. "I can't believe I'm saying this but... I want to get on their good graces too."

"Finally! I'm not alone! Hyunjin, what did you say to Felix to cause him to run out like that? It messed up my time with Woo!" San pouted.

I scoffed. "All I asked was about the food on his tray. The kid had basically rabbit food for lunch, fruits and bread only. What kind of meal is that?"

"Maybe he's dieting? Or maybe he's vegetarian...?" Minho suggested. "But either way, I still feel a little guilty..."

"Whatever. You guys do what you want, I'm still going to do me."

But...why do I feel guilty too....?
