So here is the update

Avni's POV

I was almost drowning in the various emotions that were surfacing up.The proximity turning out to be a little too much to handle.His body embraced me in a warm delight.My prince charming is very sincere when it comes to maintaining his abs.HIs work out was proving fruitful but utterly dangerous for me.Maybe my dancing had put an effect on him so even he joined me in this.Actually the truth was that I did not care about any second thought.I was clearly living in this moment.Suddenly I felt a jerk.Neil had pushed me away.His eyes showed confusion.They reflected utter chaos.As if he had just gotten over some spell,thus making it hard for him to make things out.My heart was telling me to just run back to him and whisper a few comforting words but I clearly rejected the idea.We both stared back at each other.It was then that I could realise that there were tears in his eyes.Tears that were well shrouded because of the rain.I felt a sword piercing my heart.I hate this feeling.It usually happens when Neil is hurt.I have never felt like this for anyone.Not even him.Neil had helped me drift away from those distant memories.(what memories that will be revealed later)The truth is that I love Neil with all my heart but at the moment he is my biggest weakness.It makes me feel so low when I have all the insecurities locked up safely in my heart,I cannot shout out to the world"yes I am Avni Neil Khanna and I am not afraid of anything".I am struggling to bring his heart back to the correct place but am unaware whether it will work or not.Bu Neil I will till my last breath.That's a promise i can surely make.

Neil's POV

What did I just do.Why did I get washed away in all these weird emotions that have made me a lunatic.I don't know what took over me in these 4 hours.I thought I lost everything.Why did I even consider Avni as my happiness.Why did I tell people rather beg in front of people to tell me abut her whereabouts.I am just physically attracted to her.I don't know why am I walking the same road.The one that makes me weak.The one in which I have already faced failures.Neil Khanna NEVER BOWS BEFORE PEOPLE THEN WHY WAS I READY TO GIVE EVERYTHING I HAD TO GET THAT ONE PIECE OF A BEAUTIFUL GIRL.Oh shit! what am I even going to tell her about my actions.I myself have no answers then.Okay come down Neil you can do it.Come on return back to your form.Get out of the lala land.We have already had enough of adventures.I am the ruthless CEO of the Khanna empire and she is my near prostitute.God why do I feel my heart sinking on calling her that.Whatever.I am the cool dashing man who works on few ideals,a man of his word,a man with no nonsense,a man who wants to get away from relations,a man who HATES Avni Mehta.We got it right now.Oh god I can feel her intense gaze boring at me.BUT I DON'T CARE.

End of POV

Neil replied with immense attitude:What never seen a hot,dashing boy.

Avni(in mind):No not as hot as you

Avni:Yep seen many,had a crush on many,had affairs with many,broken up with many but finally hooked up with one.

Avni winked at Neil while he had weird thoughts resembling the ones when you get raped or something.He shifted nervously but soon got his swag back.

Neil:Wow so you do find me irresistible but trust me you are not at all.

Avni:Ofcourse.Why would I be.Its just your habit.

Neil:what?

Avni:What? what

Neil:What is my habit.

Avni:Oh going about kissing girls.

Now Neil was caught off guard.He reassembled himself and then came a little closer to Avni while she went a step back due to the sudden advancement.

Neil:Media plays a very important role when it comes to your reputation.You see.And here in my case I have no intention to ruin it.Moreover I have got plenty of stalkers who might have recorded my heroic act.I must have looked stunning.What say.

Avni's temper almost blew off.She just wanted to hurl  at him shouting "SHUT UP!!!!!".She thought that maybe Neil had done all this for her but no his so called reputation came in between and took all the credit.

Avni(in mind):So if its HIS honour that matters more to him than MY honour being meddled with  then I better stay away from him.After all I might just pull out another stunt that would hurt his male sentiment.

Avni looked at Neil with a disgusted face.This time she did not have pain in her eyes.This time she had disappointment and rage in them.She was also a girl.A girl whose respect  was just played with.She never expected that Neil might have such low opinions about life.For the first time ever she had second thoughts about falling for the correct person,for giving her heart to a person who is doubtful to keep it safe.

Neil was feeling very guilty.A woman's respect has always come first but to avoid suspicions he had to say all this.She could see Avni reconsidering her opinion about him.This was what he wanted but he could feel the void created in his heart.He had demolished even the respect she had for him.He really wanted to engulf Avni in a hug and tell her that it was only her that she cared about.No other thought even crossed his mind.He wanted to kiss her forehead and tell her that he would have killed the people who had dared to touch her.He was having the feeling that he had failed to give a woman the respect she deserves but he could not help it.He dreads to lose Avni but is even scared to give Avni a place in his life.He looked at Avni.Her eyes killing him.Her eyes resembled that of a wounded doe but strangely they also had a lion amidst them.Neil wanted to look straight at her but could not do so.He put his hands in his pocket but his gaze was low.It was with the shuffle of her feet that he realised that Avni had turned and she was going.Neil quickly matched her pace and took hold of her hand and said

Neil:where do you think you are going

Avni:to hell.Wanna accompany.

Neil:don't try to act too smart just sit in the car quietly before I get angry.

Avni:OMG I am scared but let me inform you that you are living in a bubble.A fantasy  that you can frighten me.I don't need you to save me from those men that's becoz I deal with one everyday.You are no less than them.Its just that you do not want to dirty your hands by saving  womanhood while they love to meddle with womanhood to satisfy their needs.Mr Neil Khanna I have nothing to do with you.No worries I will come back to our quoted "home" but alone.I cannot stand being with someone as low as you.

Neil:yeah you can come home alone only to be again caught up  in some trouble.

Avni turned and took hold of Neil's collar.Tears glistened in her eyes:No one here brings me more trouble than you do.

Neil felt something pierce through his heart.A feeling that he never felt.Not even when he was with her(this her will be revealed later).He did not want Avni judge her this way.He wanted to clear all the mess but his life was messed up enough to not be cleared up so fast.

Avni freed her hands and was going but Neil did not let her go.He felt like something was leaving him.Neil twirled Avni and she crashed on his chest.Neil was controlling his tears.He did not want to fall weak in front of her.He wanted to stay strong.He had to be.He had to protect her.Avni tried to free herself but 

Neil hissed"Please don't make this tougher for me" 

Avni replied:You have already toughened your heart enough that I cannot change it"

Neil said:Avni stop resisting.Just get in the car.

Avni:I am not your slave that I have to follow what you say.

Neil:So I do not repent what I do next.

Neil picked Avni up and walked to the car. Avni looked up.She looked at his eyes.She could see tears in his eyes.Avni heaved a sigh of relief. She had succeeded in bringing out Neil's emotions which she badly wanted him to express.He feels for her.He surely does.He can do anything he wants but his eyes speak different.She had witnessed the ferocious Neil.The Neil who was fighting for her lioness.She had seen how he could not meet her gaze after her accusations.She studied him in and out.He can pull out any stunt to make her belief that she means nothing to him but he will always fail miserably.When she left the house she knew that he would come for her.After all Avni's existence is with Neil.

Neil carefully placed Avni on the seat and then carefully made her wear the belt.Then he closed the gate.He came to his seat and drove off.The ride was very silent.Neil tried not to sniffle but he occasionally did that due to crying but he faked that it was becoz of a bad cold.

They came back home and Avni maintained her attitude.Neil went to the washroom.He wanted to scream out all the frustration but he could not.He thought how the goons were nearing Avni and if he would have been a little late.....Neil shuddered at the thought.He felt eerie.He changed and then felt an urge to run to Avni and hug her.He looked for her but saw that she was already asleep.She had a very tiring day after all.Neil slept beside her looking at her face.He traced his finger on her cheeks

Neil's POV

Damn these cheeks.When she is angry they get so beautifully fired up.I know I hurt you and I am sorry but I have got no options.I shifted towards her and slowly laid her head on my hand.Her hair falling on my face.Just the feeling of having her in my arms makes me go weak but at times I like to fall weak,to ask for someone to be my pillar.God knows what's wrong with me.I wish I knew what's happening.

Neil slowly drifted to sleep with Avni who smiled and then snuggled comfortably in his Mr always- hot.
