(Gold's POV)

Me and Crys are walking around National Park. There's a bug catching contest going on. Crys decides that she wants to participate.

So I just watch from the sidelines as a wild Beedrill appears.

She sends out her Meganium and I'm impressed by her skill.

Meganium uses Razor Leaf which causes the Beedrill to go berserk. 

(Crystal's POV)

The Beedrill starts going crazy. It flies up to Gold and uses Poison Sting on his throat!

I tell Meganium to lure it away while I help Gold.

(Gold's POV)

I didn't know what to feel. I felt pain but felt nothing. If you understand that.

Then the next thing I know, I'm in a hospital.

I couldn't speak because it felt PAINFUL to do it.

The doctor said to save me, they'll have to remove my vocal cords. They said the poison is only in there but to survive, I have to get my ability to speak removed. I allow them and they do whatever they're doing.

(TIME SKIP TO THE END OF THE TREATMENT)

I felt a lot better after all that. It felt weird though. I can't even cough or clear my throat!

(Crystal's POV)

Everyone arrived right after Gold was dismissed. We went to Goldenrod City and walked around for a bit. I cried the whole time because this was MY fault. 

Blue, Yellow and Sapphire consoled me, while the boys tried to communicate with Gold.

"It's going to be alright, Crys." They all told me.
