Fate walked on the footpath with other humans walking right through her. She stopped and looked at her book
"Don't do it, Death. I'm telling you, you'll regret it way more than you think and in the end, you're the one who'll be left alone."

'I know, Fate'

"The person for whom I wanted to love betrayed me, I don't see any reason to move ahead--"
"Even when you can't see clearly, you must move ahead or you will rot"
"I want to rot. Let my soul rot in the hells of tarnished fate"

"Once you're dead, I can't undo it. You know that, right?"
"I do"
He thought something and finally said:
"This morning, as the dawn light hits your body, I will take away your soul to the blue stairs of fate. If you want to change your mind, you have tonight's time."

She just nodded her head and he disappeared in the black clouds, leaving her standing on the street all by herself.

"What she said-- about killing her-- I wasn't expecting that" Lucus said as he sat on the metal blocks of a building under construction.

"I write situations not a person's reaction to that. That is upto them how they react, that's why I'm tangible, you write your own fate by your actions" Fate said as she stood beside him and looked at the city ahead.

"Why are you so cruel towards her?" Lucus said.

"I give people what they deserve" Fate said. "Then is this what she deserves?" Lucus said as he got up. He snatched Fate's book and opened a page. It was about Vivian.

"Erika and Kirito become friends and Erika helps Kirito to take care of Vivian. Later they grow closer and finally Kirito marries Erika. This is bullshit-- so not the ending I want" Lucus said.

"You are an ending, not I" Fate said "I am the dawn, the sky and the sun. I only give light to the world and sight to the eyes, how you use them is upto you" Fate said and took her book back from Lucus. The sky started getting bright and it was dawn already.

"I will stop you" Lucus said as he looked at his book.

"What are you thinking, Death?" Fate said as she looked at him "Don't do something that you might regret."

Lucus looked at her, his grey and his hair peach. Fate looked into his eyes "You are right, I am the end. So I'll decide who's end I be" He said and disappeared among the black clouds.

She stood watching the skylight grow brighter "Not good"

Vivian sat on the balcony. Kirito didn't return home that night. Lucus appeared behind her.
'So you've decided' He thought as he looked at her, sadly. As he moved closer, he heard her crying softly.

'Loving is just so painful'

"It is" Lucus said and Vivian quickly turned back. He stood with his book in his hand but no smile on his face.
"Lucus--"

"But, if love can fade, then so can pain" He said as he looked into her eyes. Then he took a deep breath, as if releasing all the sadness and preparing himself for what was coming.

"So" He said with a smile "Your falling tears have answered you already" The white stairs opened from the balcony into the blue sky. He wrote the date and time into his book and looked at Vivian.

He brought his hand forward "Shall we? Let's dance the final walk of death" He said with a smile. She held his hand gently and stepped on the first white stair. Her body's vitals began dropping.

She felt calm as she stepped on the stairs and began walking slowly as Lucus accompanied her until the blue stairs arrived and Lucus looked into her eyes "You were a great soul to be known."
"Is this where we part ways?" Vivian asked.

"Yes" He said.
"Okay" She said as she left his hand. "Like flowers bloom and fall, please deliver my mind through the wind"

She was about to step on the blue stair when Lucus grabbed her hand and pulled her back. He hugged her tightly

"Sorry, I'm selfish."
"Lucus?"
"Fate is angry for the path that has been lost. And a human's heart is the cost" The stairs disappeared and they were back on the balcony.
"Lucus?" He moved away and looked into her eyes "My belly hurts. It's like I'm my favorite name and I can't do it. Please don't make me do something so painful, I beg you."

"Lucus..."
"...Vivian, wanna be an angel?"
"What?"
"This way, you can return to your body"

"Fuck" Fate said as she looked at a game which slightly resembled chess. She sat in a huge hall whose walks were covered with gold laces and diamond cuttings, decorated by rubies.

"What's the matter?" A brunette girl who sat opposite to her said "We are in a maze again"

"He doesn't have a heart though."

"Then I guess he just found one-- Wait,"

"Lucus," Vivian said.
"One person dies every second" He said in German "Sixty people die every minute, Thirty six hundred people die every hour. But I don't go when every person dies, do you know why?" He asked.

Vivian just looked at him "I have angels, angels of snow that make me-- the winter angel of death" He said and held her hand "Do you wanna become a snow angel of death, Vivian?"

"This is just so... sudden." Vivian pulled her hands away.
"Are you asking me to become death too? Like you?"

"It's been two months since your body has been half dead. I know I've lost my mind but I feel like you don't wanna go. You feel the same, you feel like you wanna wrap up all this mess.

And that just make me wanna grab your hand and pull you back, pull back where life exists and make you move away from me."

"And what will happen once I become an angel?"

"You'll never be born as a human again, you won't have an afterlife. You won't go to heaven or hell, you'll lose one gift of God- The ability to die.

Also, no intense physical touch with humans. If you do, that'll reduce their life span-- Since you would be an angel of death."

She looked tensed as she looked around "Hurry up, time is running. I've already written down the date and time in the antabulam" He said "Do you want to go back to the human world?"

Fate grabbed her book and ran out of the huge hall. "Fate!" The girl behind shouted.

'Death, don't do it!' She thought as she ran out and disappeared into blue smoke.

"Vivian?"
"I do. But this time, I'm only living for myself. Kirito Hiomi, I hate you."
"Alright, but there's a price" Lucus said "I want your heart." Vivian looked at him and he leaned towards her. He kissed on her lips.

"No!" Fate shouted as she appeared on the balcony and reached out to Lucus but she was repelled back by her own magic."Death!"

Vivian found herself at the end of the universe, surrounded by darkness and cold. Suddenly, she felt as if she was falling. She was soon  surrounded by bright lights of different colors then she fell into another dimension, this time at a higher speed.

She felt as if her body was tearing apart as the speed of things around her increased. She passed one galaxy to another. She saw the planets move around a cold sun, frozen land, a solar system devoid of stars, and finally she crashed into a mirror.

She woke up breathing heavily. She calmed down and swallowed her saliva. Then, she looked around at all the machines and tubes surrounding her. She removed every needle from her body and walked out of the bed.

She looked at herself into the mirror. She could see her reflection. Her face had a mark reading 'Death' which slowly faded away along with her grey eyes.

She walked back to the bed and saw a black book just like the one Lucus had. She picked up the book and looked inside it.

'Thee who speak the language of the heavens, shall now be served an immortal drink'

She heard the door unlock and turned back. Kirito stood and stared at Vivian as he dropped his phone from his hands. She kept the book on the bed and looked at him. There was plain silence for a while until finally he said: "Vivian..."
