Ananya's Pov

Flashback..
Wedding anniversary night.

Armaan was drunk and was unable to balance himself. I saw this and started searching Rehana but was unable to find her. It was becoming difficult for me to handle Armaan. So I thought I should take him to the room and then inform Rehana.

By great difficulty I took Armaan to his room and made him lay on the bed. After removing his shoes and shocks , I tried to remove his coat but he pulled me near to him and our lips were just inches apart. Suddenly the door gets open and Rehana enters the room.

I remove myself from Armaan's hold and stand in front of Rehana.

"Where were you? I searched you for so long but couldn't find you. So I brought Armaan here", I said.

"Seriously you searched for me Ananya?" Rehana asked raising her eyebrows.

"Yes Rehana why will I lie"? I asked.

"You very well know why you will lie to me" Rehana said.

I got confused listening to Rehana but didn't speak.

"You are such a good actor Ananya. First you sacrifice your love for your best friend in front of others and then later on you try to take back that same love which now belongs to someone else", Rehana said.

"What are you talking Rehana? I am not understanding anything", I asked confused.

"Oohh really, my poor Ananya is not understanding anything then let me expalin", Rehana said.

"I know that you love Armaan", Rehana shouted.

I am shocked listening to this as no one else know about this then how come Rehana came to know about this? As Rehana understood my unasked question she gave me the answer sitting beside Armaan.

"Do you remember Ananya you lost your diary while shifting to Pune?"Rehana asked.

"Yes", I said.

"Well that diary is not lost it is with me", Rehana said.

I am shocked listening to this. My deepest secreat was hidden in that diary. I never wanted this secreat to come out in front of anyone but it came out in front of that person from whom i desperately wanted to hide this.

"You..you read that?", I  asked stammering.

"Ofcourse I read it, first I just wanted to read it to know what all you have hiden from me but then when I read it completely I was shocked. I never knew my best friend will hide such a big thing from me", Rehana said angrily.

"I never wanted to hide this but then I thought I will tell you once you come back from Pune as my parents have choosed Armaan for me and now my love will get arranged in a marriage but then you came back and confessed your love for him"; I  said.

"So you thought let's give Armaan in a charity to me , so that you will become great in my eyes", Rehana said.

"No Rehana you are taking it in a wrong way" I tried to make Rehana understand.

"I am not taking anything in a wrong way. It was your plan that you will let me get married to Armaan and then slowly you will make your place in his heart. Most of the times are fights were because of you. He always compares me with you. To be beside Armaan you excepted this job and now it's making sense that when doctor told me complete bed rest during my pregnancy why you offered to leave your job and take care of me," Rehana shouted.

"No Rehana you are taking my care in a wrong way", I said crying.

"Now everything is crystal clear in front of my eyes. When you have already told the waiters to throw the alcohol bottles then how come Armaan consumed it?" Rehana asked angrily.

"I don't know", I answered.

"I will tell you, it was your plan to get Armaan drunk and then bring him to the bed and tell the world that he took advantage of you", Rehana said with a rage.

"No Rehana I can't even think like that", I said crying.

"This was all your plan, thank god I came on time otherwise you would have taken advantage of this situation and blame Armaan the next morning", Rehana said.

"No Rehana you are wrong", I said.

"Ok I agree that I am wrong then please tell me why your face ws so close to Armaan's face that it looked like you are going to kiss him", Rehana asked.

"Actually I was removing his coat and in this process Armaan pulled me near to him", I answered.

"Very nice excuse Ananya ,I am impressed you can lie so nicely", Rehana said laughing.

"It is not a lie Rehana , trust me", I pleaded.

"The biggest mistake of my life was trusting you", Rehana shouted .

" No one knows me better then you Rehana please trust me I didn't have any such intentions. Infact from the day I came to know about your love for Armaan , I never had any such love feelings for him", I tried to reason out.

"Enough Ananya , I don't want to hear anything , just get out of my room as well as from my life. Never ever show me your face again in my life. The day you show me your face again will be the last day of my life", Rehana said.

"Please don't say such things Rehana,please", I pleaded to her.

"Just get out Ananya before I do something which I regret in future. And please stay away from me and my family. Tell your parents as well not to keep any contact with my or Armaan's parents", Rehana said.

"Rehana please don't do this with me, give me any other punishment but please don't go away from me, please", I said crying on my knees.

"Go away Ananya , go away", Rehana said while dragging me out from her room.

"Please Rehana , listen to me once , I swear I never had such intentions,I never came nor had any plans to come between you and Armaa", I said while sobbing.

End of Flashback. .
"Rehana didn't open the door .She didn't listen to my explanations and it was the last day when I saw her. She remained true to her words , the next time she will see me will be her last day in the world. I am the reason behind her death. I am a murderer.. I am a murderer..", I said while sobbing in karan's arms.

"Sshh..stop crying Ananya, you are not  murderer and Rehana died because of cancer it has nothing to do with you , stop crying..", karan whispered in my ear trying to calm me down.

Authors pov :-
Ananya kept on crying in karan's arms and karan tried to calm her down. After sometimes Ananya stopped crying and karan made her sleep on bed.

When karan thought that Ananya slept he kissed Ananya's forehead and tried to go away.

"Stay with me please", Ananya said with closed eyes and holding karan's hand.

Karan understood her condition  and sat beside Ananya.

"Ok I am not going , you just sleep", karan said while resting his head on headboard.

Ananya holds karan's hand at night and slept while karan couldn't sleep the entire night. He was still disturbed by the revelation made by Ananya.  How can your best friend think such low about you? Whole night he kept on thinking about this.

Karan got up from bed at 7 in the morning and went to freshen up in the bathroom. After getting freshen up he went to kitchen and started preparing coffee and sandwitches.

Ananya got up with the aroma of coffee and started walking towards the kitchen. She is mesmerised looking at karan in kitchen. As soon as karan turned back with the tray filled with sandwiches and coffee , he saw Ananya standing at the entrance.

"Good morning", karan wished Ananya.

"Good morning", Ananya wished back.

"Come let's have brekfast", karan said while placing the breakfast at dinning table.

Ananya first went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and then she  joined karan on the dinning table. Both had there breakfast silently. After having the breakfast karan took Ananya's leave.

"Bye Annie , take care", karan said.

"Bye", Ananya said and closed the door.

Karan returned to his place and told his mom about his whereabouts last night. Karan's mom didn't pester him to tell the reason behind staying at Ananya's place. She understood that something is serious by looking at karan's face.

Karan went back to hospital and even Ananya went to her office. She had called her parents before leaving for the office and assured them that she is fine.

It had been more then a week since Rehana's death but still Armaan is not able to come out from the pain of her death. He misses her badly but he is trying really hard to be happy for his family and most importantly for Amaira.

Armaan is planning to shift back to Jhodhpur to join his family business and by shifting to Jhodhpur even his parents can take care of Amaira.

Many life's have been changed after Rehana's death. Rehana's parents are just living there life like a robot , Armaan is showing that he is happy but in reality he is broken, Armaan's parents are dying everyday by seeing there son and well karan has become a support system for Ananya. He is trying his best to heel Ananya.
