"Dr. Karan is so hot , I fell in love with him whenever I see him ", said one nurse to another.

"Indeed he is , but do you have some shame you are married:, another nurse said while laughing.

"Ya my bad luck", she said while pouting.

Ananya was smiling hearing this, but this was not new to her. Whenever she comes to this hospital or go somewhere with him she hears the same comments from ladies .

Ananya reached karan's cabin and took her seat as she is been told by the reciepsionist that karan is in a surgery and will meet her after the surgery is completed.

After 15 minutes..
Karan comes out of the operation theatre and tell the relatives of the patient that the operation is successful and leaves towards his cabin to freshen up.

Karan smile at the hospital staff when they are congratulating him. While passing by the reception area the reciepsionist stops him.

"Hey Dr. Karan", reciepsionist says.

"Hey beautiful", karan says with his signature smile showing of his perfect dimples.

"Congratulations for your another successful surgery and ya Miss. Ananya is waiting for you in your cabin", reciepsionist informed him.

"Ok thank you and meet you soon," he said and moved towards his cabin.

He entered his cabin and saw Ananya sitting on the chair while doing something on her mobile.

"Hey Anu", karan said while coming towards his chair.

"Hi karan, tired?", she asked.

"Hmm I was few minutes back but after seeing you I am anything but tired ", he said while giving a side grin.

"Chessy much", Ananya said.

"I will just get freshen up and come ", karan said and moved towards the washroom.

"Hmm ok", Ananya said.

Karan walks back after 5 minutes and take his seat in front of Ananya.

"So how was your surgery", Ananya asked.

"It was bit critical but was successful at last", karan said smiling.

"I knew it , that it will be successful as Dr. Karan is performing it , it has to be successful ", Ananya said smiling with pride in her voice.

"No you are just over exaggerating things,I am not that good", karan said.

"Who said you are not good? All the families of the patients admitted in this hospital wants Dr. Karan to perform their patients surgery. You are the doctor with 99% success rate", Ananya said.

"But I don't have complete 100% result. My first surgery still haunts me at night. I couldn't save a young lady, a mother of a one year girl, a wife who was been loved by her husband to death", karan told while holding his head in his hand.

Ananya got up from her chair and went and stood behind karan. She placed her hand on his shoulder and consoled him.

"It's ok karan , try to forget it sometimes the things are not in her hand so just forget it and move on", Ananya said.

"Hmm ya",karan said.

" I know that you still didn't have your lunch so let's go and grab something", Ananya said to karan.

"Oohh so you are taking me on a date , impressive", karan said with a smirk.

"Whatever makes you happy", Ananya said while taking her clutch and moving towards the door.

They both left the hospital in karan's car and moved towards Hotel Grand Hayyat.

Karan gave the keys to the valet and moved towards the restaurant with Ananya. They took there seats but they could still hear some girls looking at them or specifically at karan. Karan never gave attention to them and this is what confused Ananya. This girls can do anything for karan even if he just say them a hello, but here he is with a girl who made him run behind her for two months just to be his friend.

"Karan you are so popular yaar , rather then being a doctor you should be an actor as you have so much of fan following", Ananya said chuckling while eyeing the girls who gave her a dirty look.

"Ya I was thinking about it before becoming a doctor but then one day my mom saw my acting and told me, if you ever did acting again in your life then mark my words I will disown you", he said laughing wholeheartedly.

"Oohh but she is the most amazing lady , I have ever meet and she loves you so much", Ananya said.

"Well every girl in this world loves me but only a girl whom I love the most doesn't love me back ", karan said while looking in Ananya's eyes.

Ananya didn't say a single word and looked down at her lap. Whenever karan confesses his love to her she just couldn't answer back. She couldnt tell karan that she cant love him back. Karan always sees a vulnerable side of Ananya when he talks about love. He sees hurt in her eyes. He always feels that Ananya is hiding a major part of her life from him. But he never pressurised her to share with him her worries. He gave her space.

For karan it was a love at first sight when he saw Ananya at a common friends party. He liked Ananya for her simplicity. He gathered all the information about her and tried to be her friend. He tried for two months and then they became friends. It has been 6 months now that they know each other.

Karan ordered for themselves and then they had their lunch while chit chatting about general things.

"Ananya are you going to Banglore for diwali? " karan asked.

"Hmm no , mom , dad and Simran will come after diwali to Mumbai", Ananya said.

It has been almost 2 years Ananya visited Banglore or Pune. She has no contacts with either her friends or with the people who were major part of her life.

They had there lunch and left from the restaurant.

"Karan where are you taking me? This is not the way to my apartment?"Ananya asked confused while looking at the road.

"I am kidnapping you baby", karan said winking at Ananya.

"Karan tell na where are we going?"Ananya asked him with a pout.

"I sware baby , if you pout this way then I will surely kiss you hard", karan said laughing.

Ananya couldn't say anything and just looked out of window hiding her blush.

"We are going to mall as mom has told me to get some groceries", karan informed her.

Ananya just said ok and then no one spoke. They reached mall in another 10 minutes and went inside the mall.

They purchased all the items which karan's mom had told him and were making their way to the exit.

"Karan just wait here , I want to use the washroom", Ananya informed karan and left from there.

Karan is busy in using his mobile when a girl runs towards him and hug his legs.

"Amaira wait , don't run you will get hurt, a man was shouting from the back.

Karan took the girls in his arms and the girl is giggling looking at her father. Karan turned to his back and is surprised to see the men.

"Dr.karan"

" Mr. Armaan",

Both the men said simultaneously.

"Hi", karan said and handed over Amaira to Armaan.

"Hi Dr., how are you", asked Armaan.

"I am good. How are you?"karan asked.

"I am good ,well pleasant to see you here", Armaan said.

"Same here , your daughter is really cute", karan said pinching Amaira' s cheeks.

"Indeed she is", Armaan said kissing Amaira on forehead.

" When did you come to Mumbai?" Karan asked.

"A week before , actually I got job here", Armaan informed him.

"Oohh that's great , then we can meet more often", karan said.

"So who is taking care of Amaira here?" Karan asked.

"I have kept nanny for her , but even my parents will visit us once a month", Armaan informed him.

"Ok , so going to Jhodhpur this diwali?" Karan asked.

"No, i have e work in office the previous day , so mom and dad will come here the next day after diwali", Armaan informed him.

"Ok then let's celebrate it together", karan suggested.

"Are no no , you carry on with your family', Armaan said.

"Please don't say no ,I will be really happy if you celebrate it with me and my parents " karan requested.

"Ok", Armaan said.

Amaira started crying in Armaan's arms and both the men are trying to make her quite.

"Karan I have to take your leave , as Amaira is hungry as well as sleepy , so let's meet on diwali and chalo let's go. I think you are done with your shopping ", Armaan said eyeing the bags in karan's hand.

"Yes done with the shopping but actually I am waiting for someone , so wait with me na till she join us", karan requested him.

"Oohh I see , Dr. Karan is having a girlfriend impressive", Armaan said teasing him.

Karan is blushing looking at his feet and scratching his neck.

"I am really happy for you karan and i am sure that girl is very lucky to have you but, i will meet her on diwali , she will be there na?", Armaan asked.

"Ya she will be there, ok then meet you and this little princess on diwali", karan said.

Armaan took his leave from there with Amaira and as soon as karan turned he could see Ananya walking towards him.

"Sorry there was a line so it got late, I hope you didn't mind waiting",Ananya said apologetically.

"No no its fine , I got a really good company to talk and wanted to introduce him to you but then he had to go because his daughter started crying ", karan told her.

"Oohh I missed the chance of meeting him", Ananya said.

"He will be there on diwali so you can meet him then", karan informed her.

"Ok", Ananya said.

Karan dropped Ananya to her apartment and then went back to his place.

Karan had his dinner and both mom and son were sitting on the couch watching t.v.

"Karan , is Ananya going to Banglore for diwali?"karan's mom asked.

"No mom , her parents and sister are coming the next day", karan informed her.

"Oohh that's great , I can meet them and talk about your marriage alliance to them", karan's mom said happily.

"What?" Karan shouted.

"Mom we are just friends nothing else", karan said while looking away from his mother.

"Karan , I am your mother and I know everything about you, even the things which you don't tell me. I know how much you love Ananya so stop lying to me", karan's mom said while holding his hands.

"I love you mom ",karan said while hugging his mom.

"So now I can talk to Ananya's parents about your alliance", karan's mom said.

"Mom you are not doing anything like this,I don't want any pressure on Ananya, if you talk to her parents they will surely tell her to say yes for this alliance and I don't want that and mom it is me who loves Ananya but same is not with her ", karan tried to make his mom understand.

"Beta in arrange marriages love doesn't happen on the spot it takes time so with time even Ananya will love you back", his mom tried to reason back.

"But mom..", karan tried to give reason.

"Shut up karan , let me do what I feel is good for you and her", karan's mom said while going to her room.

"Mom , please try to understand", karan tried to say but his mom didn't respond.
