Ananya's POV :-
Today is Rehana's and Armaan's haldi and mehandi cermony so I got up at 6. I did my morning chores and got ready in a simple pink kurti and leggings and went for breakfast as ,I have to look after the arrangements for haldi function.

When i went for breakfast I saw Rehana's and my parents talking so I went near them.

"Good morning", I said.

"Good morning", they all said.

"So beta everything is done for the function", papa asked me.

"Ya almost it is done but now going to see for the last time", I informed him.

"Ladies get ready by 9:30 we will start the function by 10 and Ananya see to it that Rehana gets ready by that time", Rehana's dad said.

"Don't  worry uncle she will be ready", I told him and we all continued with breakfast.

After having my breakfast I went to the pool side area were the function is going to be held. It is beautifully decorated with yellow flowers and pink curtains. Two swings are been decorated were Armaan and Rehana will sit.

I went to Rehana's room and saw aunty was telling her to get up but she is not ready to wake up, so I got an idea and told aunty not to laugh.

"Aunty as Rehana don't want to get up, so it means that she don't want to marry Armaan, so let's tell them that we are calling off the wedding", as soon as I said that Rehana got up instantly.

I and aunty started laughing looking at her.

"Never say that again, I will never leave Armaan, whatever the case may be", she said bit angrily.

"Ok baba now get up , you are getting late , beauticians will come by 9 and it is already 8:30 so hurry up", I said.

"Ok" she said and went in the bathroom. Even aunty and I both went to our rooms to get ready.

I wore a yellow crop top with golden work and on that a yellow jacket with a white ghagra. I applied dark kohl, eyeliner and pink lipstick. I kept my hair open.

I got ready by 9:30 so I went to Rehana's room to check whether the beauticians has arrived or not.

Rehana wore a yellow lehanga - choli with dupatta. Her look is been accessorised with flower jewelery. She is looking very beautiful.

As Rehana got ready we went to the pool area and saw all are waiting for us. Armaan is been already sitting at one swing and happily talking with his friends. He is looking handsome in yellow and white kurta pyjama.

I made Rehana to seat beside Armaan on another swing and went to the D.J to take the mike.

"Attention everyone, I ,Ananya Mehta welcome you all to the haldi function of Rehana and Armaan", I said.

"As you all know yellow is normal, yellow is for all day. But today yellow is special because aaj mere jigre ki haldi hai yaar, so let's start with the function but before that as you all can see there is a board placed just beside Rehana so I want you all to write , any advice which you want to give to Rehana and Armaan and enjoy the function guys", I told everyone and went and stood beside Rehana.

Most of the people wrote there wishes and advices for the couple. Then we started with the function. Both the mom's first applied the haldi to there kids and then the process goes on with all the relatives and friends.

Rehana's full hand and legs were covered with haldi. Friends of Armaan has torn his kurta and drenched his full body with haldi. It was just looking like a holi party for the boys.

Function got over by 1 and I took Rehana to her room to get herself clean and then we can have lunch. She also need rest as she has to sit for 3 hours or more for her mehandi which will start by 7. I too went to my room to get changed.

Till Rehana cleaned herself and came it is already 2 so we went to the dinning hall and saw most of the people already had lunch and now only Armaan and his friends and me and Rehana were left out. We went to the table were Armaan is there and started with our lunch. Armaan and Rehana were feeding each other. It is difficult to control the tears which were on a verge of falling down. I kept on playing with my food but couldn't eat even a morsel.

"Ananya we are done come let's go", Rehana said.

"Hmm ya come", i said.

"Ananya what is this? Your plate is completely filled which means you have not eaten a single bite", Armaan  said looking at my plate and then at me.

"I am not feeling hungry ", I lied.

"Just sit down and complete your lunch otherwise you will fall sick and no more arguments now", Armaan said sternly.

"Rehana you go to your room and take rest. I am sitting with Ananya until she completes her lunch", Armaan said.

"No no you go and rest, I will have my lunch don't worry", I told him.

"No, until you are not done with your lunch I am not going anywhere", Armaan said sitting beside me.

I am so happy seeing his concern towards me. I am having my lunch while Armaan is playing game on his mobile.

"Done , now you can go and rest", I told Armaan.

"That's like my good girl, chalo then meet you in evening", Armaan said and went away.

I went to the hall were mehandi is going to take place.

Hall is been decorated with green curtains and a small stage is been placed at one end of the hall were many dhol and dholkis are been placed. Many small small tables are been placed with cushions and chairs and on each table. There is a round tray decorated with flowers and on that mehandi cones are been kept. There is another table were the props for photoshoot is been kept. People can click the pictures with the props.

Then I went back to the room to take some rest. When I got up from sleep it is already 6. How can I sleep for 1 hour and suddenly I realised that I should go and wake Rehana up  so ran towards Rehana's room. She is already awake and has come from a shower just now.

"You didn't start getting ready", Rehana asked me.

"Actually I got up just now and realised I should wake you up so came  directly to your room but you are already awake", i said.

"Actually mom came half an hour back with some snacks so I got up at that time. Now you go and get ready and come back to my room once you are ready", Rehana said.

"Ok", I said and went back to my room. I took a quick shower and started getting ready.  I wore a band gala long slit kurta with a ghagra. Then I wore long jhumakas in my ear and a finger ring. Took some hair from both the sides with partition in middle and pinned them.

I got ready in an hour and went to Rehana's room.

She wore a green and yellow ghagra - choli. Her hair were ties at one side and she wore gajra on it.

"Chalo let's get going ", I said.

When we went to the hall I saw mehandi wali's have already arrived and even all the other people from both the families are been there. I made Rehana sit on the couch and the mehandi wali started with her work. Even the dholak wali's have come and they started playing some wedding songs. Many small girls are been dancing and even the ladies of the family have started dancing.

The function is going in a full swing. All are dancing , singing and enjoying themselves.

"Attention guys , we have a surprise for Rehana and Armaan so please stop doing what you all are doing and look at us. This performance is been dedicated to our bride and groom", Aman said.

Aman , Shristi , Harsh and Neha started dancing on song "Mehandi laga ka rakhna", from movie "Dilwala Dulhania laye Jayenga".

They danced so well and then at the end all the young lot including Armaan and Rehana joined them. After sometime again all started with the mehandi.

Rehana's mehandi is done now and it is looking so beautiful. Her hands and legs are covered with heena. Even I sat for doing mehandi now.

I have to sit for 1 hour to get my mehandi complete. All the gents were feeding there ladies and the people who were single were been feed by there brothers or sisters who didn't have mehandi in there hand. Even Armaan is feeding Rehana and she is happily eating. After feeding my mom , my dad came to feed me but my sister said she is hungry so my dad is feeding her now.

"Will you please shift there , I want to sit here", Armaan said who was holding a plate in his hand.

"Ya sure", I said and gave him place to sit.

"You didn't have your dinner yet", I asked him?

"I already had, this is for you lady", Armaan said.

"But I can't have it', I told him showing my hands.

"I know genius , I am going to feed you", he said.

"Are no no I will have it once the mehandi get dried , you go and talk to Rehana ", I told him.

"She is going now to her room as she is tired and I am feeding you because It will take time for your mehandi to dry", Armaan said.

He feed me and we did bit of chit chatting. All the people were now going to there rooms as the function got over now. Even I went to my room and removed my mehandi and then went to change.

As soon as my body hit the bed , I went to my dreamland.
