"Y'know what they say, there's a fine line between love and hate."

A/N: Guess who's birthday it was! That's right! June 28th was my birthday, so for this update, you get a fun little lunch trip with our friend, Aphmeow! Sorry it came out a bit late, considering the release date for the chapter was supposed to be then. But anyways, enjoy!

Your POV
"Hey Jess! Trish, Y/N, this is Jessica, or Aphmau." Adam introduces us at our table. We planned to use our lunch break to go and eat out at Olive Garden with Ross, Max, Adam, Aph and Barney. But of course they just needed to invite Re— Michael. Why did he always have to come to something so good, and make it so unbearable?
"Hi!" We all say. Jess gives a small wave.
"Hey guys!" She chirps. She takes a seat on the edge of the booth, on my left hand side.
"Any sort of drama going around here recently?" Jess asks deviously. Max scoffs.
"You always ask that question." He complains.
"Well. . ." Ross begins. I glare at him, but he continues.
"Y/N and Red have been at each other's throats since they've been here," He tells her. She looks at us with her nightmare-fuel-shipping-face.
"Oh really?" Jess says, followed by some giggles.
"You're thinking about that? How about you realize that Max can't seem to stop blushing around Shelby!" I interject. Jess switches her gaze from me and Michael to Max. His face was redder than his hair.
"T-that is n-not t-t-true!" He stutters. Trish shakes her head, laughing.
"Is that so MadMax?" Adam snickers. Even Michael was chuckling at Max's reaction.
"Don't worry Max. We won't tell." Ross assures him, still laughing.
"I hate you all." He mumbles.
"Uh-uh, you like Shelbs!" Michael says, earning some more laughs from us. Well, everyone present besides Max.
"S-shut up!" He shouts. I'm surprised that we haven't even gotten any very questionable glances from the people around us!
We ordered and ate our drinks and meals like your average, everyday, humane civilians— If your average, everyday, humane civilians were extremely weird. After that we all returned to the offices— And an extremely flustered Max returned to a confuzzled Shelby (YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS! Sorry. . .)
Me and Aphmau had different plans though. We were gonna go for a girls night out today. Me, Jess, Shelby, Trish, and even Alesa, we're going to watch a movie, go to a spa, get our nails did, do a bit of karaoke maybe, do whatever our hearts desired. My excitement was short-lived though, when I walked and stood next to the wall that stood beside the entrance to the new(er) challenge room. Also known as the place where all (or most) of the Office Antics videos were filmed.
"Wills you be my girlfriends Trish?" A squeal of surprise followed the question.
"Oh my gosh, Barney! Of course!" Next came pure laughter.
I wasn't sure weather I should smile or frown. I was happy for them, both of them! But something about those two sentences caused me to feel a twinge of guilt.
It was practically time to go home anyways, so I headed over to my office and made sure my videos were filmed, well-edited and posted. And once I was sure they were, I took my keys and went out of the building (not forgetting to say bye to everyone I passed by) and headed straight for the car. Barney could probably give her a ride anyways. Besides, I needed a moment to actually think.
After taking the time to drive home, which included traffic and ended up be nearly ten minutes instead of three, I parked in the driveway of my and Trish's house. I strolled into my home, going straight through the hallway (past the two convenient guest bedrooms, as the large household was built for four), up the stairs, and taking a left into my nice room.
I was grateful for Trish getting someone to look after her besides me, especially since it was the great 'Bong Bong Chicular' Barney. My mind wandered to tenth grade. Me and Michael were fifteen, just a year before I moved away (correct me if I'm wrong please). He had asked me out. And I would've happily said 'yes', if I wasn't thinking that a little act like that could fix my problems. I was angered greatly. Why? I wouldn't know.
It was one of those days too, where nothing went your way. Not getting an (expected and well-deserved) A+ on a Trigonometry test (even though my grades were still pretty good. Getting beaten to the point of having to go to the Nurse's office by dodgeballs in P. E. Class. And finally, being pranked by the school's most well-known troublemakers and prankers (though I do have to give him credit, it was a really good prank), leaving me soaking wet with no change of clothes.
Heh. That was one heck of an excuse, wasn't it. I was now lying on the top of my bunk bed, the type that had a desk to replace the bottom bunk. I was just sprawled across the bed sheets, staring mindlessly at the ceiling. We were adults now! It's been quite a couple years since then, and we were great friends, best friends even, back in eighth grade.
So why, just why did I have that hostile-but-playful sort of attitude towards Michael?
