Chapter 18

Author's POV

It was the party day. Sehgals and Malhotras, both the families were excited to announce their project's success. People who were invited to this party were eager to know about the announcement both the young Billionaires had to make.

The media was waiting to cover the grand party. They all know that these two families' parties are always at a grand scale. This party was arranged in Hyderabad's best seven star hotel that belongs to the Malhotras.

In Sehgal mansion, everyone got ready to go for the grand celebration. Nishant and Deepika left for the party with little Yahaira. Amrita and Manya were still getting ready.

"Amu.. How long would it take for you to get ready?" Asked Arjun fully ready in a black three piece suit. Amrita was trying to wear her sandals when Arjun called her.

"I'm all ready." she said "but this.." she pouted her lips and showed her sandal because she can't bend because of her grown belly.

Arjun helped her wearing her sandals as he told her that she was looking gorgeous in this gown.

"No, Arjun, I'm looking fat."

But Arjun hugged her and nuzzled in her neck and told her that she was looking beautiful, the pregnancy glow showing on her.

"You are the most beautiful girl I've ever met. What you are, what shape you are, you always look beautiful to my eyes. So don't call my wife fat." Arjun said last line in playfully and kissed her on her lips.

"Okay, stop Arjun. Aren't you getting late now? You go and wait downstairs, I'll check on Manya." Said Amrita while Arjun faked whinning for stopping their romance.

Amrita entered Manya's room as Manya exited her changing room, wearing the dress they selected for the party.

"Manya, you are not ready yet. Let me help you." She took Manya in front of the dressing table. She curled her hair and was going to do her makeup but Manya stopped her.

"No Bhabi, I don't want to put on any makeup." Said Manya.

"No? But why? You'll look good. Let me do it." Said Amrita.

Amrita did her makeup. She gave more attention to her eyes and highlighted her eye makeup. She put red lipstick on her lips and gave her diamond earrings and a bracelet with matching her dress to wear.

After wearing her high healed sandals, Manya was completely ready. Manya noticed her self in mirror. She looked a completely different person. That sad girl was replaced with a beautiful face. Amrita complimented her, proud of her skills, and then they both left the room.

Arjun was impatiently waiting for both the ladies when they graced him with their presence. Arjun looked at Manya and told her that she looked like a beautiful princess and kissed her on her cheek. After that they left in their car for their destination.

On the other side, in the Malhotra mansion they were all ready to leave for the party. Arhaan, Khushi, and Dadi in one car and his parents in a different.

One by one, their cars the venue and they got out of the cars to get in the party hall. Media was trying to talk to them but the security team stopped them.

Arhaan's POV

The hall was surrounded with business people and associates. I met my staff and gave them instructions that all the things should be taken care by them.

I was waiting for Arjun because then we will proceed with the announcement of our project.

His parents are already here with Yahaira. I was talking with my family when Arjun entered the party with Amrita and Manya. He noticed us and came towards me with both of them.

And Manya! She was looking gorgeous in her off white gown. The pearl embroidery on her neck was shinning due to the lights, with makeup on she looked more gorgeous. I was lost in her beauty.

She came beside me to seek blessings from Dadi and my parents and they complimented her.

After some time we announced our project's success and gave a few important details about the project to the media. We announced that the work of our second project have also started and by the end of the year the construction of the hotel would be completed.

After the announcement we were all free to enjoy the party. Some people were eating the dinner and some were dancing with their partners. I went to where our families were sitting.

Arjun asked Amrita for a dance and our parents also went ahead for a dance. Dadi and Khushi were listening to Yahaira's cute little talks while she was eating her ice cream.

Manya was looking at the surronding, noticing every small detail in the decoration. I sat beside her and she looked at me and smiled.

There was silence between us. After sometime she broke the silence and congratulated me. I thanked her and we went in a silent mode again. I wanted to talk to her but I don't know what to talk about.

After lots of thinking I asked her. "How's the party, Manya? Did you like it?"

She reacted to my question like she didn't expect me to ask her that.

"Yes, I really liked it. The atmosphere here is so good and happy. You and Bhai have arranged everything thing very well." She said while smiling.

"Thank you. Have you had something to eat? If you want to eat something I'll ask.." She cut me midway.

"Thank you for asking, but I had my dinner with Yahaira." She said with a beauitful smile and looked at me. Our eyes met. And again, I couldn't help loosing myself in her eyes.

First time I closely noticed her face. She has big brown doe shaped eyes, a beautiful button nose, a fare complexion. She looked at me like she was trying to read my thoughts.

I was so lost in her that I told her something that I was not expecting from myself.

"You're looking gorgeous in this dress. And it shows your curves perfectly." I said bluntly.

She looked me with wide eyes. When I noticed her expressions I realized what I said and immidiately exited from my dreamland.

"I'm s.. sorry.. I didn't mean it that way. I wanted to tell you that this dress really suits you and you look gorgeous in this." I said.

After listening me she told me thanks. And turned towards Khushi and they started talking.

"What have you done, Arhaan? Why you're always lost in her and forget all the things around you when you look at her. Why is she affecting you so much?" I mentally asked myself.

Because you are attracted to her.

My subconscious mind told me.

"No. I'm not. I meet beautiful girls everyday but I never think about them that way."

Because you are attracted to her, not only for her beauty but also for her innocence that is affecting you so much.

Said my subconscious mind.

I was lost in my mind talk when I saw that Manya told something to Khushi and excusing herself, left from there. Fifteen minutes passed but she didn't come back. I asked Khushi about her and she told me that she's gone to the restroom. Arjun and Amrita and our parents came back after dancing but Manya didn't return.

"Where is Manya, Khushi?" asked Arjun.

"She went to the restroom but didn't return yet, Bhai." She said.

"Okay. You all wait here, I and Amrita will go and check."

They both went to look for her but they also didn't return. We were getting worried. I lost my patience and I too went to see what was the matter. But the seen infront of me made my heart jump into my mouth.
