Chapter 37

  Author's POV

Malhotras reached Sehgal mansion. After their welcome ceremony everyone entered the backyard that was decorated with roses and lights. The garden was enhancing the beauty of the garden. The wedding was going to happen here in the backyard garden under the open sky. Arhaan was sitting and waiting at the mandap and the priest was chanting the holy mantras. He was looking at the phone time and again for an important message by Daksh. When finally he received the message, a big smile appeared on his face.

We reached here and I took him to Nishant uncle's study room so that no one notices him before the surprise. I will bring him there when you will say.

Dakash sent the message to Arhaan. Arhaan said okay and waited for the time. In sometime Manya reached there.

Everyone looked at the entrance when Manya entered the backyard. Arhaan looked at her and his eyes were stuck at the beautiful girl who was looking stunning in that beautiful lehenga selected by him.

Manya sat beside Arhaan with Deepika's help. Deepika caressed her head and returned to her seat.

"Bhai, I know bhabhi is looking gorgeous but you can stare at her later. You'll get lots of time. Now give some attention to the rituals." Said khushi and everyone laughed while Manya and Arhaan's faces turned pink.

The priest was going to continue the mantras when Arhaan stopped him making everyone confused.

Arhaan turned towards Manya. "You know, I promised you that I will fill your life with happiness and love. So for this, I have a surprise for you. Before our wedding I want to give you a wedding gift that you will never forget". Said Arhaan and called Daksh.

Everyone looked at the scene with curiosity. Manya was looking at Arhaan and listening what he was saying when she heard a voice.

"Manya beta ji tusi ta sanu bhul hi gaye (Manya dear you forget me)." Said the person. Manya immediately turned towards the person as she was shocked to hear the voice. She froze at her place while tears were flowing down her eyes continously while everyone stared at the scene unknown to everything.

"You didn't invite your dadu to your wedding beta ji." Said the old man who is actually Manya's grandfather.

Manya's trance broke and she rushed towards him and embraced him.

"Dadu you're here." She said stuttering and touching his cheeks.

"My lovely granddaughter is going to start her new life so I had to come." He said and kissed her forehead.

After their emotional moments, he turned towards everyone and said.

I know you all want to know about me, so let me introduce myself. He said while looking at the Sehgal and Malhotra family.

"I'm Rajveer Bedi. The owner of Bedi Industries. And she is my granddaughter Manya. I know you all have lots of questions and I will answer them. But first I want to tell something to Manya which is the most important of all."

He held Manya's hand and made her sit on a chair. He sat beside her while holding her hand.

"What I'm going to tell you and show you it will be shocking for you. But it's the truth of your life beta. Accept it. Listen to me very carefully bete." said Rajveer while holding Manya's hands tightly. He composed himself and started again.

"You know I love you a lot?" He asked and in reply Manya nodded.

He smiled and turned towards everyone, still holding her hands. "Manya is not related to me by blood." said while holding her hands tightly, to gain strength and to give strength to Manya.

He turned towards Manya. "You're not related to me by blood but you are more important to me than my blood relations." Manya got numb in shock.

Rajveer signaled Arhaan who nodded and called someone. Bedi family came there, unknown to the situation.

"You always asked me why they all hate you so much? Why they ignore you?" Rajveer asked and she looked at him with tears and pain in her eyes.

"You're not their real daughter." He said while pointing towards Bedis. They're not your parents nor they are humans because what they did to you was inhumane. In my absence what they did.. is really embarrassing and disgusting to me because they're my blood. But not any more." he said in anger and the Bedis looked at him shocked.

"Karma had its own plans. God gave you the family you craved for all your life."

"You remember the incident that happened 17 years ago?" He asked from Nishant and Deepika who became stiff at the mention of the incident. Their trance broke when Mr bedi again spoke.

"You remember that incident when you lost your daughter in a fire accident? I was also there. We met at the same party when we both were doing different projects for the same company."

Nishant realised why the person seemed familiar to him and started explaining that incident.

"It happened 17 years ago when we all went to the party. I went there with Deepika, Arjun and my little princess, my Misha. We were all enjoying. The kids were enjoying in the kids party on the second floor. I and Deepika were with our friends when suddenly everyone started panicking when they got to know that the whole building had caught fire. In panic everyone started running towards the exit of the building. I told Deepika to get out of the building while I go and save our kids. But Deepika denied and we both went to the second floor. When we reached there some people were saving the children. I spotted Arjun. He was crying in the crowd. I embraced him and asked about Misha. He said he doesn't know. Deepika started crying. I handed over Arjun to Deepika and told her to leave from there because smoke was spreading out everywhere but she denied. We searched for Misha everywhere but she was nowhere to be found. The hall got empty. After sometime the rescue team was there and they forced us to leave. How could we leave? We were arguing with them when we heard Manya shouting. She was calling for Deepika.

"Mumma, save me please. I got hurt. It's hot here." She was saying while crying. We searched for her everywhere but we couldn't find her. We called for her but after sometime the voice stopped. The officers forced us to leave and told us that they will find her but when we got out of the building the whole building caught fire and suddenly we saw a blast on second floor. My heartbeat stopped there. We couldn't save our little daughter. The rescue team couldn't find her. That incident took our daughter from us." Nishant completed while crying.

Mr Bedi came towards Nishant,  holding Manya's hand and consoled him while patting his shoulder.

"Mr. Sehgal, You know I came here after Arhaan met me in London. He told me all the things that happened here when I was not here. How Manya met you, what my children did to Manya, and most importantly I came here to be a part of Manya's happiness. I wanted to give her some happiness but the thing I didn't know was, that I will reunite your lost daughter with you." What Mr. Bedi said was shocking.

Mr. bedi smiled. "Yes. That day I was also there. You didn't lose your daughter. She is alive. Yes. I couldn't have reunited you with her today if had I not looked at the photos of your little daughter in your study room. I rescued that little girl that day and took her with me to my place."

"I remember I was on the second floor when I heard a little child shouting. I found her in small room. She was hiding under a table in fear. I took her out of there. By the time I brought her out of the building she lost her consciousness. I took her to the hospital. She was in trauma and she couldn't tell me anything about herself. She just silently sat there. I had no option so I took her from there to my home. That was my worst decision because my family didn't accept her. They treated her badly. But God had his own plans. Finally I can reunite the family." He said while smiling.

"Manya they're not your real parents." He said pointing at His son and daughter-in-law."Sehgal family is your real family." He said while giving her hand to Deepika and Nishant and Manya stumbled on her place while looked at Mr bedi and Deepika and Nishant.

Deepika and Nishant smiled and looked at Manya. They both took her in their embrace. And the three kept crying at the games fate had played. They broke the hug and Manya looked at Mr bedi who smiled with tears in his eyes. Manya hugged him while crying. Mr bedi broke the hug and said, "I hope I gave you the best gift on your wedding." Manya nodded and hugged him tightly.

"Enough. Now go and take your vows. your life partner is waiting for you." Said Mr bedi while breaking the hug. He took her towards Arhaan and gave Manya's hand into Arhaan's hand.

"My blessings are always with you both. I know you will take good care of my Manya." He said to Arhaan who nodded.

The marriage rituals were completed and Arhaan and Manya took their parents' blessings. After that Manya went to her new home with her soulmate, Arhaan, who gave her the life back that he craved for.
