Chapter 29

Arhaan's POV

Listening what Arjun said I regretted my actions. How could I put her life in danger? In anger I shouldn't have reacted that way. I didn't notice what I said to her. I hope she would be okay.

"We have to talk, Arhaan, about why did you behave like that and why you were talking about Manya that way. But later. Now we should go to Sehgal mansion." Mom said to dad and me and looked at me in anger.

I nodded and went to my room to change my clothes. I was getting ready when my investigator called me whom I had hired to investigate whatever happened during party. I received the call and what he said to me shook me at my heart.

After hearing about her past life I felt anger building inside me, but not on her, on myself for behaving like a jerk and a monster towards her. What I did to her?

How would I meet eyes with Arjun and Manya? He trusted me for her safety and I broke his trust. But now it's not the time to feel guilty or sad. First I want to find Manya.

I went down where mom and dad were waiting for me and we left for Sehgal mansion.

When we reached there we went into the hall where we saw Deepika aunty and Amrita crying while Nishant Uncle was trying to calm her. He was also looking very sad and depressed. I'm feeling like punching myself. It's all because of me.
Mom went towards Deepika aunty and Amrita and hugged them while trying to calm them.

I went to Arjun who was talking to someone and recognised. He was ACP Abhinav. Arjun looked at me and told me to tell Abhinav when or where I dropped Manya. I told him everything except for my taunts.

"First we have to see the footage of the front cameras." Said Abhinav to Arjun.

Arjun nodded and took us to the security room. We saw the video when Manya got out from my car then I didn't wait for her to enter and left from there. Arjun looked at me in disappointment. I lowerd down my eyes in shame and guilt. How will I tell him about my behavior towards her? I thought.

We saw the video after my departure she stood at the entrance for sometime then she took steps back and ran on the road.

We all looked at each other. Abhinav looked towards me and asked me.

"Did you notice something different in her behavior?" He asked.

Now I can't hide the truth from Arjun so I decided to tell him everything.

"Arjun, when yesterday that man, Aditya came and claimed that he's Manya's fiance, I recognised him as the same man who came for a meeting in my office. I asked Manya about it but she said nothing to me. I told her to tell you. She promised me that she would tell me because she doesn't want to hurt her family. Situation got turned after Aditya's arrival. I was angry on her that she hid such thing from everyone. I thought..." I couldn't tell him what I said to her, I stuttered,  but Arjun completed my sentence in anger.

"That... she's taking advantage of our love." He said and I nodded.

"How could you Arhaan? I trusted you. Do you know that.. that bastard was blackmailing my sister. Today I found everything about that dirty man. I know he is dangerous. He wanted to use Manya. Your one mistake put my sister's life in danger." He shouted at me.

"I'm sorry, Arjun. I know I did a big mistake. In anger I didn't think straight. I also got to know about him from my investigator just an hour ago. It's not time to fight. Please punish me for my behavior after we find Manya. Please.." I said and looked at him hopefully.

"Trust me, Arhaan, if anything happened to my sister I'll not forgive you, ever." He said pointing his finger towards me in warning.

"Okay."

"Okay, now tell me what you found about that man, Aditya Kapoor." Abhinav asked us.

Arjun told him everything what he found about him. Listening to him I'm worried for Manya. I hope she's safe.

"From what you're telling me I'm sure he is behind Manya's kidnapping. I told my men to start searching of her."

"We should first search for that Aditya." I said and they nodded. We went to search for any clue on the road where she was seen last time but Arjun's phone rang.

"It's an unknown number." He said.

"On speaker." Abhinav told him. He put the phone on speaker mode.

"Hello!" said Arjun.

"Tch.. Brother trying to find his sister! But You will not." Said that bastard.

"She's in my cage now. I knew you were not convinced yesterday. And today you sent your men to find about me. How could I fail in my plan? So I took her with me."

"You bastard... Leave her, if anything happened to her I'll kill you." Said Arjun getting angry.

"Don't worry, she's safe.. for now. If you want her to live, give me something I want."

"What do you want, tell me?" Asked Arjun.

"Give me your camel building project on my name and.. and 70 crores in cash."
He said.

"You bastard.." Arjun was angry, so was I.

"Okay, no tension, Arjun Sehgal. You don't have to pay anything for her. She's not even your real sister. She's with me now. And I'll do what I want to do with her. You don't have to do anything for her. So good bye.." said that bastard and he was going to cut the call when Arjun stopped him.

"No.. please don't do anything to her. I'll do what you want but don't even touch her. She's my little sister. Don't do anything to her. If you tried to harm her I'll not spare you." Said Arjun closing his eyes while controlling his temper as well as his tears.

I cleanched my jaws in anger. It's all because of me. She's in danger. I'll never forgive myself if anything happened to her.

"Okay, so I'll call you after two days. And don't worry, I'll not kill her, just i want to spend time with her. So I'll call you when I want to." He said while laughing and cut the call.

Arjun tried to call him back but it was switched off. In temper Arjun threw the phone and it broke into pieces. I tried to calm him down but he glared me and left from there.

I and Abhinav tried to find the details of that number and it's location but that man was sharp and intelligent. He didn't leave any clue to find him. Now we're searching the whole city to find atleast one clue but we didn't get success.

After searching for whole night we were back to Sehgal mansion. They were all sitting at the dining table and Mom was trying to feed Deepika aunty who was crying continuously. I went to her and sat down infront of her on my knees.

"Aunty, please eat. If Manya get to know that you didn't eat anything she'll feel hurt. She'd blame herself. And you know that she loves you. Please aunty, for her sake, please eat." I took a morsel and neared it to her mouth.

She looked at me and said, "How can I eat? I don't even know if my little flower had anything or not. How can a mother eat when she doesn't know of her child is hungry." She said and her lips wobbled.

"Please aunty, not for us, for Manya and for Amrita. It's not good for her and for her baby to take tension and she's also not eating. Please aunty eat something." I said and this time time she ate the morsel I forwarded to her.

I asked Amrita about Arjun and she told me he was in Manya's room with Yahaira. I nodded and went to her room.

I entered the room and looked at Arjun laying on the bed and Yahaira on his chest. Both were sleeping. I went towards them and tucked them in the blanket.

I went down and after informing mom I left for my penthouse.
