Chapter 17

Author's POV

On the way to Sehgal mansion Arhaan asked Khushi why was she going to Sehgal mansion?

"Arey, obvioysly to tie rakhi to Arjun Bhai." She told him and also told him that she forgot her party dress that day there so Amrita told her that she will send her dress but she doesn't want to bother Amrita so she told her that she will come herself and that way she will also meet with Manya di and the others.

They reached there after an hour. Arhaan was going back after dropping Khushi but Arjun stopped him.

"Come on, Arhaan, sit with us sometime if you don't have an urgent work." Asked Arjun.

Arhaan nodded while muttering an okay and Arjun took them to the garden.

They stopped hearing a beautiful laughter.There Amrita was sitting in the wooden shed in the garden and little Yahaira was playing hide and seek with Manya.Yahaira was hiding behind the tree and peeking from there, looking at Manya. She was smiling, a hand on her mouth so that she doesn't make any sound that would make Manya notice her.

But Manya noticed her frock showing from behind the tree. Manya took a few steps backward and disappeared behind the tress so that Yahaira wouldn't notice her. And then she marched towards Yahaira and picked Yahaira up from behind.

"Caught you!" Exclaimed Manya and picked her up from waist and twirling her round.

They both laughed. Their laughter echoed in the whole garden.They both were lost in their own world. Manya had completely forgotten about her surroundings.

They were all very happy looking at her with face alight with laughter. But Arhaan was totally lost in her beauty. His blue eyes were stuck on her laughter. It was for the first time he noticed her with this intensely.

Arhaan's POV

My eyes were stuck on Manya. She was lost in her self and I was lost in her. Her laughter is melodious. She looks more beautiful in that wine coloured palazzo suit. First time I noticed her with makeup.

She was wearing long golden earings that were perfectly enhancing her beauty. Her brown eyes that show lots of pain, today they were shining in happiness. I've noticed, when she is with Yahaira she is totally a different person.

She was twirling Yahaira and then she kissed her on her cheeks. Her lips look soft, like rose petals. I wondered what they would feel like on my... I stopped my thoughts in midway.

What the hell I was thinking? I never think like that for anyone ever in my life. But why I was thinking like that for her? I never noticed some girl in that way. Why am I so attracted towards her?

My thoughts broke when Khushi nudged me with her shoulder and smirked at me. Why was she smirking? But then I noticed that I was openly staring at Manya without noticing the surroundings.

And now Khush saw me so she.. no no... she'll annoy me for this.

"What you've done, Arhaan?" I asked to myself in my mind.

"Bhai, why are you looking at Manya di, and that too so intensely?" She asked me with a smirk.

"By the way, I'm your sister, but I call Arjun bhai as my brother and tie Rakhi on his wrist. Then Manya is his sister so she should also..."

Before she could complete the sentence I understood what she wants to say but

I glared at her and she stopped, but she was not affected by my anger. I could see she wanted to tease me but stopped when Arjun came and took us towards Amrita.

All us sat on chairs and when Manya noticed us and reached towards us with Yahaira. She said hello to me and while Khushi hugged her. She sit beside the last chair infront of me with Yahaira on her lap.

"You're looking so gorgeous, Manya di. This colour really suits you. What do you think Bhai?" She asked me in a teasing manner that only I could notice.

"What have you done Arhaan? Now this girl would not forget this incident that easily." I thought in my mind.

I looked at Khush and told her with my expression to shut her mouth but still nodded in a yes so that Manya doesn't feel awkward. Manya looked at Khush and said thank you.

Then Khush tied the rakhi on Arjun's wrist and he gifted her a beautiful bracelet that I could see, she loved very much that she wore it it on her wrist then and there.

After that the girls started talking about the upcoming party and I and Arjun talked about our projects.

"I'll just be back." said Manya and excused herself. After a few minutes she came back with a tray of snacks and juice. She served it to everyone and again sat with Yahaira.

"Chikoo..." Amrita called Arjun and our faces turned towards him.More to which Amrita bit her lips realising her mistake.

"How many times I've told you Amrita, don't call me with that name. It's so embarrassing." Said Arjun.

We all laughed at Arjun's embarrassed state.

"Sorry, hubby, but it's such a cute name." Said Amrita with a puppy face.

"But don't call me with that name again, I don't like it." Said Arjun with seriousness.

Hearing Arjun Amrita started crying. We all looked at Amrita and now Arjun was gone.

Arjun panicked and got up from his seat.

" Why are you crying, Amu? What happened? You have pain somewhere?"

"You... don't 'Amu' me. You've lost interest in me. You don't love me now." Said Amrita while sobbing.

"Why are you thinking like that?" Asked Arjun with a worried expression.

"You always like it whatever name I call you with. But now you don't like the cute name I gave You." Said Amrita while clearing her teary face.

"What are you talking, Amu? I love you baby."

"No, you don't love me. Yesterday you said to Yahaira that I look like a whale.You called me fat." She said.

"No mumma I told papa that you look like a whale but papa said you look like a panda." Said Yahaira very innocently.

Arjun looked at his daughter with his wide open mouth while Amrita gave him a dangerous glare.

"Like mother like daughter." Arjun muttered in his mouth but I heard it. We were just looking at the scene silently, giving Arjun a sympathetic look.

"Amu, we were just talking casually. I told Yahu that you looked like a cute, beautiful female panda. I didn't mean it in any other way. You misunderstood us." Said Arjun while cleaning Amrita's tears.

"Yes Bhabi I was also there with them. Bhai didn't call you fat." Said Manya and consoled Amrita.

"Baby, stop crying, it would affect our baby. You can call me whatever you want. I won't stop you." Said Arjun and begged infront of Amrita.

"Okay, I forgive you but you have to give me my favourite chocolate forest cake." Said Amrita while smiling wide and licking her lips with her tongue.

We all looked at her with our facesecond showing shock. Before sometime she was crying and suddenly she is smiling so widely and demanding for a cake.

Arjun muttered something, may be like pregnancy hormones, and told her that he will bring the cake in sometime.

"Don't worry, Bhai I'll prepare cake for Bhabi." Said Manya.

"You know Baking?" Asked Khushi.

"Yes! I love baking and cooking. Grandpa use to say that my handmade chocolate mud cupcakes are delicious." Said she with a dreamy smile on her face.

"You all Wait for some time, I will prepare the cake for all of us."

"Okay, let's watch some movie. Meanwhile, Manya will prepare the cake." said Amrita amd they all nodded.

After sometime Manya entered in the living room with a delicious looking cake. She served it to everyone. Amrita took a bite and moaned in delight.

"Manya, come here." said Amrita, and when Manya came to her she kissed her on her hands while praising her cake.

"It's delicious." said Khushi and Arjun.

"How's the cake ?" Asked Khushi to me.

"It's amazing. " I said and finished the cake on plate.

"Bua, I want more." said Yahaira. Manya nodded and Arhaan stopped her.

"Can I have also get some more. It's really delicious. I never ever tasted such a delicious cake." Manya nodded shyly and thanked him and brought some more for all of us.

After eating and chatting for some time, Arhaan and Khushi left from there.
