Act 5: Scene 1

A grave-digger and another man are talking about the way that Ophelia is going to be buried while the grave digger is digging.

They belive she is having a Christian burial just because she's a woman.

They talk for some time, before the other man leaves the grave-digger alone.

The grave-digger starts to sing, and after a bit Hamlet and Horatio arrive.

Hamlet talks with Horatio for some times watching the grave-digger working, before asking to the man for who he is digging that grave.

He answeres that it is for someone that was a woman.

Hamlet and the man talks about his work, until the King, the Queen, Laertes, a priest and some bearers with a coffin arrive, and Hamlet and Horatio hide.

The priest says that they can't do anything else for her.

Laertes assures the priest that his sister will be an angel, while the Queen throws flower at her grave.

Laertes hugs his sister one last time and Hamlet steps in declaring his love for her and challenges him to prove that he loved her more than him.

Then he leaves, and the King tells Horatio to stay with him.

Then the King calms down Laertes and tells the Queen to make sure he is under control, and they leave.
