Levy's POV

I sit next to Gajeel as he explains.

"So..do ya know anything about mates?"

"My friend is a mate. Oh yeah! I should probably thank you for getting them together," I tell him.

"Wait...so that pink hair idiot told his mate after what happen," Gaje ask me.

"Yup! So thanks for getting Natsu and Lucy together," I say as I smile.

"N-no problem. But yer gonna be different than her. Since I'm a Nature Demon and Iron Dragon," he tells me.

"What?! You are two different creatures that is effected by the mate thing," I ask in surprise.

"Yeah.."

"That's so cool," I say as my eyes seam to sparkle.

"Ya think so," Gajeel ask me.

"Of course! So your dad is the Dragon and your mom is the Demon," I ask him.

"Yup. Ya must be a bookworm Shrimp. It suits ya," he tells me as he ruffles my hair.

"Thanks. And what's with the nickname?"

"Since yer tiny and cute like a Shrimp...that yer nickname," Gajeel tells me.

"I like it. I'm not short, I'm fun size," I tell him as Gajeel blush.

"Ya sure are Lev."

I smile at my mate. This is going to be interesting.

"So...ya want ta see my cabin?"

"Sure! How do we get to it," I ask Gaje.

"I hafta hold ya as we travel through the trees," he explains.

"Let's do it!"

"Alright Shrimp. Hold on ta me," Gajeel tells me as he wraps his arms around my waist.

I place my hands around his neck. He smiles softly at me as I smile back. Gaje touch the tree nearest to us and the world pass by in a blur.

Gajeel's POV

We travel through the trees as I hold my mate. Soon enough we leave as we stand in front of my cabin. Shrimp looks at it as she smiles.

"I like it! It's very cute," she says.

"Thanks. I made it myself."

"That's awesome," Lev tells me.

"Ya wanna come in," I ask her.

"Sure," Levy says as I open the door for her.

We walk in as I close the door. The two idiots that are on the job with Levy are still arguing. It have been 5 minutes since we met.

"How long are they gonna argue over ya," I ask Shrimp.

"If I don't tell them to stop, then they can argue for a day without noticing that I have left," she tells me.

"Ah....I don't think that's good when yer in the middle of a battle," I point out.

"This happens all the time...they get knocked out and I have to finish the mission on my own," Lev tells me as she sits on the sofa in my living room.

"It must stink," I say as I sit next to her.

"I have gotten use to it," Lev says as she sigh. "Though I would like them to stop. They are just fighting for a pointless love. I don't want to hurt their feelings, but it is 100% true. I have rejected them both every time they ask me. Can't they realize that I see them as family?"

"Maybe they don't see it or they don't believe ya," I think.

"I know. And I have asked others to tell them, but they just ignore what they are saying," Lev says as she leans back on my sofa.

"Ya want me to talk to 'em?"

"You sure Gajeel," she ask me.

"Yeah. Ya are my mate and I will protect ya through thick and thin."

She smiles as she hugs me. I hug her back.

"Thanks Gajeel," she tells me as we look into each other eyes.

I slowly start to move closer and Shrimp does the same thing. I can feel her breath on my lips as I look into her gorgeous eyes. I close my eyes as we close the last distance between us. Her lips taste like vanilla and sweet like honey. Our lips move in harmony. Her skin is soft and beautiful. I'm so lucky that an angel like Levy is my mate.
