Gajeel's POV

I feel a pang in my chest for some reason.

"I'm gonna go," I tell Lily.

"Alright. I'll come along."

"Nah. I'll be fine," I say.

"Alright. I'll see you at home," Lily says as I leave the Guild.

I pick Levy's scent up and I follow it as it goes to Fairy Hills. The girls only dorms. I sneak around until I find her window. I open her window and sneak it. I close it behind me as I look around to see a lot, and I mean A LOT of books around. I creep as I look for Lev. I successfully find her in her bed without knock anything over. I spy a wet spot on her pillow. I get a bit closer and I'm shocked to see that she was crying. I carefully sit on her bed. She shifts a bit. I stroke her hair. She stirs and open her eyes as she looks at me. Her beautiful hazel eyes are red and a bit puffy from her crying.

"Gajeel," Levy mutters and looks at me.

"Hey Lev. How ya feel?"

"Sad," she mutters as she sits up and shuffles towards me.

"Ya wanna talk about it," I ask her as I place her on my lap.

She stays silent as she snuggles into my warm chest. I wrap my arms around her and rub her back. We stay like this for some time until Levy slowly starts to speak.

"I....I got into a fight with Jet and Droy," she mutters. "A-and I left Shadow Gear."

Levy looks at me as tears slip down her face. I wipe her tears away as I look down at her.

"T-they were talking bad about you a-and wanted me to stay away from you because of what race your parents are and they wouldn't give you a chance," Levy says as more tears fall down her face.

"Shh. It's alright," I mutter as I wipe the tears away. "They just need to process everything."

Levy nods her head and leans her head against my chest. I hum a song as I hold my mate. I rub circles in her back soothingly. I soon hear her even breathing an' I look down to see Shrimp asleep. I smile an' I kiss her forehead gently. I then put her in her bed and tuck her under da covers. I smile softly an' then I leave to go home.

Levy's POV

I hear my alarm clock off and I blink my eyes open. I sit up and look around. I notice that Gajeel left sometime during the night. I turn the alarm off and I get ready to have a day of reading. I get into comfortable clothing as I hum a song. As I finish getting dress, someone knocks on my door. I walk over and open it to see Erza standing there.

"Oh. Hi Erza," I say as I open my door all the way open. "What are we doing here?"

"I heard that Shadow Gear got in a fight. Are you alright," she ask me.

"How did you know?!"

"I overheard you guys arguing in the library. I have not told anyone about what happened," Erza promise.

"So I'm guessing you know what we were fighting about," I say as I invite her in and close the door behind us.

"They wanted you to stay away from Gajeel, correct?"

"Yeah. You have to remember about that one time we ran into a demon and how we barely escaped," I remind her.

"Yes. You where in the hospital for a month," Erza says.

"Yup. Jet and Droy don't trust Gajeel because he is half demon."

"I'm guessing they forgot that you are a quarter demon," Erza says as I nod my head.

"I also don't think they would call me evil because of that. They would argu back that Gajeel did that to me on purpose. Or that they have known me for most of my life and they know that I won't hurt anyone on purpose," I say as I sit on my couch.

"Don't worry Levy, they just need some time to get use to the idea that you are out of their reach," Erza says.

"Yeah. Gajeel did say something along those lines when we talked last night," I tell her.

"Interesting. Let's head to the Guild and just relax today," Erza says.

"That sounds like a great idea," I say as I stand up.

We leave my room and we start walking towards Fairy Tail.

Jet's POV

I smile as I hold the vial up to the light. The neon green liquid swirls around in it.

"This is cure Levy. I know it will. And then Shadow Gear will be one again," I say as I place the vial in my pocket. "Don't worry Levy, I will save you from that demon."
