To Haiku or not to Haiku?

I don't write poetry, not really. I don't write fiction either, not really. I sure as hell don't know any thing about writing a Haiku. But here I am trying to start a book of Haiku.

A few months ago I started a series called Chasing Wattpad. In that series I wrote a piece called "You're not a poet and you didn't even know it". Of all the pieces that got the most feedback. Poets from all over weighed in to what poetry is or isn't and who maybe or may not be a poet. I guess I especially attacked short poems with 3 lines or less. Haiku lovers throughout pounced on me in the comments. It was a well deserved pounced. Obviously I did not know what I was talking about. Yeah, it happens.

So, as penance for my sins I will try to write some Haiku. I am quite confident I will suck at this. But I will take it seriously. I won't post one at a time either. I will try and write 3 or more before I post. Maybe more than that (assuming I can even write one). Who knows? I just might become a Haiku lover. A master of all things Haiku. It can happen (I won't hold my breath).

Oh one more thing. What exactly is a haiku? Just kidding, I'll Google it.
