Episode 13->BOOM! BOOM! FIYA POWAH!

"Hm..." Shino mused silently as he inspects the interior of the house. No matter what he tried... he had not been able to leave the house. After close examination, it was obvious there was not any genjutsu. Nothing chakra related was keeping them trapped. What, exactly was, seemed to remain a mystery. Shino, sticking his hand out the door, similar to how Naruto had done before, hits into to an invisible solid. He feels up and down the 'air' but his hand would not go through. He watched as the air ripples at his touch but it remained impermeable. Did weird occurrences as this happen all the time in this strange and foreign world?

"Shinoooo~~" I pealed running through the front door and jumping him. He was just standing there staring in space the whole time he had not noticed me coming. Startled, he held onto my waist reflexively and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I rubbed my cheek against his and purred. It creeped him out how he didn't sense me coming. He is coming to resent my chakra deficiency. One thing Shino hated... was a surprise. Moreover, not being to tell where I was by detecting my chakra was annoying the heck out of him.

Kiba had just descended the stairs, cinnamon bun poking from between his top and bottom lip, in time to see me glomp Shino. He paused on the last step and raised an eyebrow. "Is it just me or does she pay more attention to Shino out of all the guys here...?" Kiba muttered his words muffled by the cinnamon bun. Akamaru, despite being a Nin-DOG, snickered.

"Hugh-sama-" Shino stammered confused as I give him a generous squeeze. 'How did she...where did she...?' Panic struck me as I saw him glance at the doorway. Oh no! Did he see them? I glanced through the corner of my eyes looking through the open door. At first I didn't see anything amiss. Then I saw Deidara appear from behind a pine tree. He smirk at me, put his finger to his lip as if saying 'sh' before disappearing. I let out a loaded sigh before pulling away from Shino. Jeez I feel like a double agent. This sucks!

"How ya mornin' been Firefly?!" I grinned broadly, pulling away at arm's length, looking up into his face. I pinch the bridge of my nose, a twinge of guilt stirring in my stomach. Letting Akatsuki stay close by wouldn't backfire on me, would it? God, I hope not!

"F-Fire...fly...?" Shino sputtered, distractedly, looking between the door and then down at me. Why did he keep doing that?!

"Hey Natalya how'd you get in?" Kiba asked bringing my attention to his form. I saw him and Akamaru by the stairs. I gave Shino a dismissive smile, pulled my arms completely from him then I skipped over to the stairs and leaned against the railing.

"Good Morning Kibs!" I addressed him but smiled at Akamaru.

"Uh yeah, mornin', so like I was saying before, how did you get in?" He said giving me a brief smirk as an extra greeting.

"Huh? Well the front door was wide open so I just strolled in. You know, while I'm out, you guys got to learn how to lock up." I answered fluently.

He sauntered down the few steps and he came to lean against the railing, right beside me, in a casual way. Kiba shook his head. "No, no. What I meant was how you got in so easily. There was some sort of force field thing around the house!"

Akamaru strutted down then to me, he stood under my hand, and rubbed his back against me fingertips. I got the message. I ran my fingers through his white fur and scratch occasionally. He seemed to really like that, so, as I look up at Kiba, I continue to pet him.

"...Well, I didn't feel nothing..." I replied hesitantly and tilted my head to the side glancing at the doorway. Did Sasori or Deidara have anything to do- No, they could not have, we just got back... unless they did it right after they abducted me... I shook my head. It did not seem possible. If they wanted to hide their presence, creating a barrier around the house would attract too much attention.

"We were completely stranded in here," Kiba continued. "And on top of that everyone in the house was worrying where you had vanished off to!" Kiba gave me a quizzical glance. "Where were you?" he asked. It was silent for a second as I mused over what answer to give for that. Then suddenly Kiba pushed himself from the stair railing, stepped in front of me and leaned extremely close to me. My cheeks grew warm from nervousness and my fingers in Akamaru's fur froze. Kiba placed his nose against my neck making me stiffen up before he takes big, numerous sniffs.

"Y-You just smell like sea salt." He stated, as he pulled away to look at my beat red face, his eyebrows furrowed. Kiba's lips curled into a dissatisfied frown. He obviously hadn't find what he was sniffing for.

"U-Uh yeah. That's because I went down to the beach; dipped a hand in the seawater, basked in the sea breeze, walked in the salty sand..." I stuttered, making deliberate precaution to leave out the part about where I wasn't alone at the beach. 'Awkward moment when a dog boy sniff you and says you smell like salt.' I thought.

Shino seemed oblivious to Kiba and I leaving us to our conversation. He walked over to the door and put his hand, palm out, in the open air, only for it to go straight through. He waved his hand up and down the open air and even stepped outside. "Strange..." Shino muttered.

"Um yeah," I said pushing grabbing Kiba by the shoulder and pushing slightly, "a little space please." I think he noticed the blush because he suddenly had a smug smirk on. Nevertheless, Kiba backed away. I noticed Shino doing weird things at the front door and had to wonder.

"Hey Shino what ya doin'???" I asked, breaking away from Kiba, and silently approaching him. I watched him curiously, as he walked back inside and closes the door. At the same time, he turns to face me and just barely getting the vague words "The barrier is gone" out, there was a sudden deafening explosion. It shook the house!

"Oh my god! W-what was that?!" I screamed above the dying rumble. I found myself on the floor, my heart humming faster than a hummingbird's wings. So many possibilities crossed past my head like clips from a horror movie. Was somebody hurt?

I felt a tug on my arm then I was yanked roughly to my feet. Shino pulled me along. When he got to Kiba he handed me off to him and kept running down the hall, Akamaru at his side, and headed towards the direction of the blast. Kiba linked his arm with mine. He made sure his back shielded me before he took off down the hall, with me stumbling along.

We went down the hall beside the stairwell, passed the downstairs bathroom, and banked a corner to the right into another hallway. At the end of the hallway we came to the garage door, Kiba shoved it open, and he pulled me inside with him.

"MY GARAGE!!" I screeched in pure despair. Dear people... there was now a giant, gaping hole in my garage wall!! My eyes roamed over the room.

"We told you guys to find I way out, not blow up the house!!" Kiba yelled his tense muscles relaxing as he dropped his guard.

A soot covered Naruto, Choji and Hinata stood guiltily in front of the brand new crater. This will be hell to explain to my family. I whimpered but I felt a little relief. There were worse scenarios in my head than this.

"Remind me not to leave you lot unsupervised ever again." I remarked.
